Patents Assigned to Rieter Ingolstadt
  • Patent number: 6142351
Abstract: The invention concerns a process and an apparatus for the storage of a textile material between operating components of spinning mill machines, wherein a first driving means drives an operating component which delivers the material into a storage facility and a second driving means drives another operating component which removes the material from the storage facility. One of the operating components is a high-dynamically reacting component, and the other operating component is a low-dynamically reacting component. The purpose of the invention is to minimize the size of the storage facility and to simultaneously reduce the amount of stored material. This is accomplished in that the quantity of delivered and removed material at any given time is continually measured and a running difference between the two quantities is determined.

  • Patent number: 6134752
Abstract: A pneumatically energized loading mechanism for a drafting device is proposed for loading the upper rolls of the device. This mechanism possesses pneumatic cylinders which subject the upper rolls to a force, which acts from a holder plate (4) for the securement of the cylinder (2). The support is effected by a stop plate (200), which acts in unison with holder plate (4). The cylinder (2) possesses a guide surface (201) positioning the cylinder on the support (4). The cylinder (2) exhibits a piston with a circular cross-section and is comprised of plastic. The cylinder (2) is affixed to the holder (4) by a securement means (20). By the support of the cylinder (2) on the holder (4), the securement means (20) need accept no force engendered by the piston. The cylinder (2) simultaneously forms a passage for a current bus which serves as the power cutoff of the drafting device when fiber windup difficulties arise.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a process and an apparatus, in particular a rotor cover (3) and a thread withdrawal tube (2), of an open-end spinning machine, for the pneumatic cleaning of the thread withdrawal tube (2) which has an irregular inner contour. In this arrangement, there opens into the zone of the irregular contour (24, 220) of the thread withdrawal tube (2) an air feed tube (6, 60) directed against the irregular interior contour (24, 200) into the inner space (25) of the thread withdrawal rube (2), through which a flow of air is conducted against the irregular inner contour (24, 220) of the thread withdrawal tube (2). The irregular inner contour (24) of the thread withdrawal tube (2) is formed by means of a disassembly point between two thread guiding elements (20, 21, 22, 23) arranged in sequence, the elements making up the complete thread withdrawal tube (2) or a twist element (220).

  • Patent number: 6085392
Abstract: The present invention concerns a stretch machine with a drive mechanism which is placed in a drive enclosure (3). This drive is covered by a movable top (2), which lies with its edge areas (24) on a stationary part (10) of the stretch machine and which top carries a blower (4) with at least one suction side and one discharge side. The blower stands with its suction side in connection with a filter (5) and with its discharge side open to the interior of the drive enclosure (3). Within the drive enclosure is provided an air distribution system (6). This is so arranged and so oriented that the blower (4) produces, in the entire peripheral area of the cover (2), an effect which is essentially of uniform strength. The blower 4 is provided with a control apparatus (71) for a reversal of its direction of impelling air.

  • Patent number: 6081972
Abstract: The invention concerns a textile machine operating on fiber band with a feeding device for the fiber band and a guide element for the fiber band and further provided with a band monitor for the discovery of band breakage. The band monitor (BW, BW1, BW2, BW3) is placed always in the area of the guide element, in particular one band guide (BF) and another band guide element (FE, FE1, FE2, FE3) in the area of the band monitor (BW, BW1, BW2, BW3). The running time behavior of the fiber band (FB) is directly improved by the guide element (FE, FE1, FE2, FE3), that is, the vibrations of the fiber band (FB) are damped. This will avoid a situation wherein false alarm signals are given because of an originally vibrating fiber band at the band monitor.

  • Patent number: 6024205
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for positioning of empty tubes (2) on a tube conveying device (12) across from a grasping device (30), which is installed in particular on a service unit (3) capable of traveling alongside a plurality of adjoining spinning stations (10). The empty tube (2) conveyed by the tube conveying device (12) is stopped by a stop (4) in a defined position at the work station (10) where the empty tube (2) is needed. At the same time, a tilting moment in the direction of the tube conveying device (12) is exerted upon the empty tube (2) while it is braked. The tilting moment is applied to the empty tube (2) at its leading end (24) and is increased during braking of the empty tube. To carry out the process, a stop (4) can be moved on the service unit (3) into the conveying path of the empty tube conveyed by the tube conveying device (12), the stop (4) being associated with a tilting moment in the direction of the tube conveying device (12).

  • Patent number: 6006511
Abstract: For a separating roll, which finds application on an open end spinning machine, the proposal is made that a spiral trim wire be preformed and precoated before the trim wire is installed upon the circumference of the roll. In this way, separating rolls of the most varying materials may be employed since the rolls themselves need not undergo the coating process. Further, the trim wire may be preformed into a spiral before fitting on the separating roll. Moreover, a process for the production of the trim wire is presented. During the process of coating, the preformed spiral windings are held at an axial distance from one another.

  • Patent number: 6007607
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a process for the filtering out of fibers form an air stream, in which process a stripping blade (3), for the purpose of cleaning, is moved along the surface of a filter (2) installed in a vacuum chamber (10). A controlled linear drive (51) is applied to the said stripper blade (3), by which the stripping blade (3) is made movable for the carrying out of a two phase operational motion along a linear path of travel. The end positions are located at opposite sides outside of the surface of the filter (2) in areas (A, B) wherein the stripping plate (3) is without contact with an opposing surface. During the first phase of travel, the fibrous material is scraped from the surface of the filter (2), while during the second phase of travel of the stripping blade (3) the said fibers are pressed against the filter (2) and the stripping plate (3) essentially moves back over the fiber without taking the said fibrous material with it.

  • Patent number: 5940925
Abstract: The invention concerns a cleaning lip for a rotating roll of a textile machine in a rolling mill (1) for processing fibrous materials wherein the cleaning lip (9) is comprised of a combined carrying device and a lip, the length (1) of the lip (11, 23) being limited by a wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1), and the lip is composed of plastic. On the lip (11, 23) and in proximity to the carrying device, a groove (12, 24) is placed which runs parallel to said wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) of the lip. Alternatively, the cleaning lip can be installed for the clearing of wrapping, in that, upon the roll (14) reversing its direction from an original direction, then the wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) of the lip (11, 23) swings itself out of its original roll surface contact position. Upon a subsequent change of roll rotation back to the original direction, the wiping edge (AK, AK.sub.1) also swings itself back to its original wiping contact position.
