Abstract: A memory device stores machine-readable instructions executable by a processor to cause the processor to graphically depict on a display device a first category of risk analysis data related to a plurality of insurance claims. The processor also causes the display to graphically depict a relationship between a first analysis result and a first benchmark value corresponding to the first analysis result, and graphically depict one or more user controls for selecting a second category of risk analysis data.

Abstract: This invention uses non-parametric statistical measures and probability mathematical techniques to calculate deviations of variable values, on both the high and low side of a data distribution, from the midpoint of the data distribution. It transforms the data values and then combines all of the individual variable values into a single scalar value that is a “good-ness” score. This “good-ness” behavior score model characterizes “normal” or typical behavior, rather than predicting fraudulent, abusive, or “bad”, behavior. The “good” score is a measure of how likely it is that the subject's behavior characteristics are from a population representing a “good” or “normal” provider, claim, beneficiary or healthcare merchant behavior. The “good” score can replace or compliment a score model that predicts “bad” behavior in order to reduce false positive rates. The optimal risk management prevention program should include both a “good” behavior score model and a “bad” behavior score model.

Abstract: An exemplary method may comprise forecasting a foreign exchange exposure for first and second periods of time, hedging risk based on the forecasts of the foreign exchange exposure, the hedging based on the forecasts of the foreign exchange exposure for the first and second periods of time, wherein hedging is performed utilizing currency contracts with a single maturity date in a single month, retrieving information in real-time from a database of foreign currency contracts to confirm that the risk has been hedged, hedging changes in foreign exchange exposure that result from changes in the forecast of the foreign exchange exposure for the second period of time, wherein the hedging is performed utilizing currency contracts with the single maturity date in the single month, and displaying a comparison of results of hedging with results of accounting from enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
Abstract: A method of real-time line rating of a transmission line includes receiving, by a processor, real time transmission line conductor measurements of a transmission line having a plurality of conductor line segments from at least one real time line monitoring device. The processor generates a prediction model for at least one of the plurality of conductor line segments. Parameters of the at least one conductor line segment are predicted by the processor using the received transmission line conductor measurements and the prediction model and conductor locations of the at least one conductor line segment are simulated within a transmission line model based on the predicted parameters. The processor compares the conductor locations to one or more objects within the transmission line model determines conductor clearance distances between the simulated conductor locations and the one or more objects within the transmission line model.
Abstract: A system and method are provided for identifying exposure concentrations. The process of determining exposure concentrations may include organizing exposure data, defining parameters, determining elevated exposure concentrations, and providing output results. The exposure data may relate to at least geographical locations, policies, accounts, portfolios, treaties, and other exposure data. The parameters may be defined to include at least an area of analysis, a region of interest, a threshold amount, results parameters, and other parameters. The exposure concentration may include at least defining and locating exposure locations using various techniques. The results may be presented using textual, graphical, or other display schemes. The output may be configured to convey information such as positional accuracy of an identified area, exposure accumulation in a defined area, and other information.
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to acquire direct thermal measurements, for example, from a LiDAR collecting vehicle or air vessel, of an overhead electrical conductor substantially simultaneous with collection of 3-dimensional location data of the conductor, and utilize temperature information derived from the direct thermal measurements in line modeling, line rating, thermal line analysis, clearance analysis, and/or vegetation management.
Abstract: A method for estimating vegetation growth relative to an object of interest is disclosed. A target vegetation is identified from a second sensing dataset. A corresponding target vegetation is identified in a first sensing dataset, the first sensing dataset collected at a time before the second sensing dataset. A first statistic is attributed to the corresponding target vegetation based on a distance of one or more points of the corresponding target vegetation in the first sensing dataset relative to the object of interest. A second statistic is attributed to the target vegetation based on a distance of one or more points of the target vegetation in the second sensing dataset relative to the object of interest. An encroachment rate is determined from a comparison of the first statistic and the second statistic.
Abstract: Risk information portal systems and methods are provided. The portal allows business managers and others to track, organize and review risks. One or more social media news feeds may provide risk information that is found from social media sources. The portal may also provide research tools and interactive tools to locate industry pricing information. A risk maturity index tool also allows users to obtain a risk maturity score.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for, and method of, determining whether records and entity representations should be linked. The system and method include assigning to each pair of entity references a match value reflecting the likelihood that the entity references are related. Based on the match values, each entity reference may then associated with a preferred entity reference. Pairs of entity references that are mutually preferred may then be identified and linked. The process may be iterated to generate further links.
Abstract: Disclosed are systems for, and methods of, automatically detecting and treating field values of a particular field as null field values in records of a database. The system and method provide automatic treatment of these field values as null field values by calculating a critical frequency for the field. Based on the critical frequency of the field, the system and method treats field values that occur more than the critical frequency of the field as null field values and treats field values that occur less than the critical frequency as non-null field values.

Abstract: A variable resolution grid provides a mechanism for focusing specific concentrations of risk exposure on a geographical grid to determine projected loss caused by a particular catastrophe. The geographic grid provides a stable base map by using latitudes and longitudes to define the grid points and cells. Each cell is assigned a geographic identifier or geocode that identifies the location of the cell and its associated resolution. The resolution of the grid may be varied depending in part, on the resolution of any available of hazard data.

Abstract: Risk Analytics Management—Integrated Process (“RAM-IP”), a computerized method for project optimization, process control and performance management based on a risk management framework. A project comprises a plurality of risk sources, e.g., nine, that are managed from Day One by establishing a plurality of risk streams, e.g., 32, that break down the risk at each source. Each risk stream is divided into a plurality of risk control steps, each of which is assigned a risk owner who works with various information inputs to manage a set of control deliverables and to control risk at each source. The project timeline is based on a sequence of critical milestones connected to completion of such control steps, all based on risk assessment and control. Technical, financial and process governance are process integrated. In a complex project, there may be thousands of control deliverables, requiring a software basis for continuous tracking, coordination, and updating.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for, and method of, searching for and identifying an entity representation. Some embodiments permit search criteria that are internally inconsistent. Such internally inconsistent criteria may include, for example, a maiden last name and a married last name. Certain embodiments account for such criteria in an intelligent manner and identify matching entity representations with a known confidence level of accuracy.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system for, and method of, determining whether records and entity representations should be delinked. The system and method need no human interaction in order to calculate internal match scores by considering data associated with an entity representation and external match scores by considering data external to the entity representation. The system and method uses the internal match scores and external match scores to make the delinking decisions.

Abstract: Field probabilities associated with fields in a database may be used to create one or more blocking criteria. The blocking criteria may be a set of fields that should be equal among two or more records in a database, so that a search of the records in the database according to the blocking criteria yields a subset of records approximately equal to or less than the specified maximum block size. Generic blocking criteria may also be created. The generic blocking criteria may be used for a batch comparison or batch linking operation within the records of the database.
