Abstract: A circuit arrangement for brief mute switching of the reproduction of an LF signal in a radio receiver for performing additional control operations is described, in which the mute switching is effected by varying the current flow through the control path of an interrupter by means of a reversing switch, as a consequence of the change in charge of a capacitor acted upon by a blanking signal.
Abstract: The present invention provides a detent mechanism adapted to be mounted on a container which is to contain one or more articles, notably CD cases, which container has an access aperture through which the article(s) can be inserted into or moved from the container. The detent mechanism is adapted to retain the article within the container and is formed from a mounting member adapted to be carried externally in the container, preferably at or adjacent the access aperture of the container. A latch member is adapted to be carried externally of the container by the mounting member and is movable between a retracted position at which at least the distal end of which is adapted to retain an article within the container. The latch member is also movable to a extended position in which latch member permits removal of the article through the access aperture by being located out of the line of travel of the article as the article is withdrawn from the container.
Abstract: A hand machine tool has a battery operated drive motor accommodated in a machine housing, with a battery housing mountable on said machine housing. The mounting of the battery housing of the machine housing is performed by two guiding strips arranged on the machine housing and engaging in guiding grooves provided in the battery housing. In a locking position, the battery housing is held by a spring-loaded slider which has two legs provided with end arresting projections form-lockingly engaged with stationary arresting projection provided on the battery housing, for locking the battery housing on the machine housing.
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method for adjusting a supplemental quantity of fuel which is supplied to an internal combustion engine during warm-up operation in addition to a basic quantity measured for an operationally warm engine. The method includes the step of basing the adaptation of the supplemental quantity of fuel on an evaluation of the control actuating variable of an idle speed control.
Abstract: A method and device for sensing three-dimensional flow structures, which is distinguished in that at least two, preferably three light sheets of a different wavelength or light intensity are produced in a flow measuring field. When a particle carried along by the flow traverses the light sheet, scattered light produced by the particle is optically detected as a particle trace, separately for each light sheet. The detected particle traces of the light sheets are combined into one particle path, and on the basis of the composite particle path, the three velocity components of the flow are calculated.

Abstract: A hydraulic pressure generator having a body (1) with a first bore (11) therein for receiving a cylinder (21) of a piston assembly (2) to define a pressure chamber (12). The cylinder (21) has a second bore (211) for receiving an auxiliary piston (22) which defines a variable volume compensation chamber (23). The compensation chamber encloses a deformable member (5) which is adapted to exert an elastic force between the auxiliary piston (22) and a closed end (210) of cylinder (21). The compensation chamber (23) communicates with the pressure chamber (12) through a restriction (221) formed in a longitudinal duct (222) of the auxiliary piston (22). A sealing member (4) borne by a portion (222) of the auxiliary piston (22) closes the pressure chamber (12) such that the elastomeric member (5) dampens pressure differences between the pressure chamber (12) and compensation chamber (23).
Abstract: A brake system (10) having a proportioning device (18) through which a first fluid pressure is communicated to a first brake circuit and a second fluid pressure is communicated to a second brake circuit. The proportioning device (18) has a housing (90) with a first bore (204) connected with a first passage (98) for receiving the first fluid pressure and with a second passage (100) for receiving the second fluid pressure. A first piston (210) located in the first bore (204) of the housing (90) separates the first passage (98) from the second passage (100). The first piston (210) responds to a higher fluid pressure of the first and second fluid pressures by moving in the first bore (204) to providing additional fluid pressure to a lower fluid pressure of the first and second fluid pressures to substantially equalize the first and second fluid pressures supplied to the first and second brakes circuits for effecting said brake application.
Abstract: An electro hydraulically adjustable pump has an adjustment member which is adjustable by at least one adjustment piston, a control valve which acts upon the at least one adjusting piston, a servo amplifier which triggers the control valve and which is supplied with an actual value of a pump adjustment and an actual value of a control valve adjustment, and an element which produces an additional pulse-shape adjusting signal as a function of an angle of rotation of the pump so as to control the control valve through the servo amplifier by the additional pulse-shaped adjustment signal.

Abstract: The apparatus for determining rotational position of a rotatable element without contacting it includes a sensor device having two Hall or AMR sensor elements for sensing a magnetic field of magnetic field strength (B) generated by or influenced by the rotational position of the rotatable element and for producing output signals according to the magnetic field and thus the rotational position of the rotatable element. In order to easily detect the absolute rotational position of the rotatable element, the sensor device is constructed and positioned with respect to the rotatable element so that in every rotational position the field lines from the rotatable element extend at right angles to the sensor structures defined by the direction of an alternating current in the sensor elements.

Abstract: A label applicator for applying labels to cup-shaped packaging containers including a label storing device means in the form of label rolls, from which labels are removed with the aid of a removal device and labels are applied by a transfer device to the packaging containers. The labels are applied by a contact pressure device to the jacket faces of the packaging containers. Because the application of the labels to packaging containers takes place after the forming of the containers, the design of the label application device is simplified, and accessibility to the containers is improved.
Abstract: In a device and a process for controlling an injection actuator of a self-igniting internal combustion engine, on the basis of the operating conditions, a fuel amount signal (QKO) can be given, which depends at least on the driver's command. Under certain operating conditions, regardless of the driver's command, a minimum amount is injected to actuate the injection actuator.
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling an electromagnetic switching member having an excitation winding and a movable armature. A first time point and a second time point define a time window. Within the time window, the current characteristic and/or the voltage characteristic is evaluated in order to detect a switching time point at which the armature reaches a new limit position. The time window is enlarged if no reliable switching time point was detected within the time window.

Abstract: A tandem brake booster having a housing with a first front chamber separated from a first rear chambers by a first wall and a second front chamber separated from a second rear chamber by a second wall. The first and second front chambers are connected to the first and second rear chambers through passages in a hub which retains a control valve. In a first or ready mode of operation, the first and second front and rear chambers have a substantially identical first fluid pressure while in a second or actuation mode of operation, the control valve responds to an input force to allow a second fluid pressure to be communicated to the first and second rear chambers and create a pressure differential with the first fluid in the first and second front chambers. The pressure differential develops an output force which moves the first and second walls as a function of the input force applied to the control valve.
Abstract: A fuel supply systems with two series-connected pumps and with fuel injection valves that inject fuel directly into a combustion chamber of an engine in which a starting process takes less time because of the small feed quantity of the second fuel pump. The system includes a valve device which assures that during the starting process the first fuel pump furnishes the fuel to the fuel valves at elevated feed pressure. In many cases, this elevated feed pressure suffices to start the engine in the quickest possible time. The apparatus and the method are intended for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle.

Abstract: A processing circuit has a computing cycle divided into several subcycles of uniform duration. The time base values of the last three nulls of a square wave signal produced from the sinusoidal signal of a wheel speed sensor are stored in a register with three places. At the beginning of a subcycle the difference D of the latest and of the oldest time base values stored in the register is formed and in some cases after limiting is converted to a value 1/D and stored, while the previously stored oldest value is erased. At the start of a new computing cycle the stored value 1/D is further processed as the new wheel speed.
