Abstract: A spectrometer apparatus is disclosed that includes at least one light source for irradiating a sample with light, an optical detection device for detecting light scattered by the sample, at least one optical filter device, which is arranged in front of and/or behind the sample, a contact sensor device for determining a contact between the sample and the spectrometer apparatus and for outputting a corresponding output signal, a control device for controlling the light source and the detection device in response to the output signal. The control device is designed such that the control device modifies at least one operating parameter of the light source and the detection device, when the output signal indicates the contact between the sample and the spectrometer apparatus. A method for operating a spectrometer apparatus is disclosed as well.

Abstract: A method for satellite-based detection of vehicle location uses a motion and location sensor. GNSS data is received as an input variable, at least one further input variable is also received. Weighting factors for the input variable and the at least one further input variable are determined. The input variable and the at least one further input variable are weighted by the weighing factors. The vehicle location is detected via the weighted input variable and the weighted at least one further input variable.
Abstract: In a method for operating a motor vehicle during an autonomous parking process it is proposed that during the autonomous parking process a first braking torque is applied automatically to at least a first wheel, and a second braking torque is applied automatically to at least a second wheel, that a slip of one of the wheels is inferred from a comparison of the rotational speed of the first wheel to which the first braking torque is applied with the rotational speed of the second wheel to which the second braking torque is applied, and that if a variable characterizing the slip reaches or exceeds a limiting value, an action is automatically triggered.

Abstract: An adapter plug and an electronics housing includes an adapter plug of this kind, and a valve comprising an electronics housing of this kind. The valve has at least one electric actuator. The adapter plug has at least one receptacle for an actuator-side electrical contact element and a receptacle for an electronics-side electrical contact element. The two receptacles are electrically connected to one another. A main body of the adapter plug is designed for insertion into a recess of a wall portion of the electronics housing, which wall portion faces the actuator. Abstract: A method for removing noise from a sound signal received by a microphone is provided. The method includes receiving a vibration signal from a vibration monitoring device mechanically connected to a loudspeaker, the vibration signal indicating vibration caused by a sound emitted by the loudspeaker. The method further includes receiving a sound signal received by the microphone. In addition, the method includes removing the vibration signal from the sound signal so as to remove noise from the sound signal. With the vibration signal from the vibration monitoring device, noise can be removed from the sound signal received by the microphone so as to achieve a satisfactory audio effect or accurate sound recognition.
Abstract: A set-up tool for aiding vehicle sensor calibrations having a structure with a first and second vehicle contact points configured to contact a vehicle and establish a calibration axis. A substantially vertically projected flat blade laser may be placed in a position perpendicular to the calibration axis and used to align the set-up tool with a center of the vehicle. Once centered, the laser ma be transitioned to project a laser line, in coordination with a protractor having a base-line parallel to the calibration axis (which is now substantially parallel to a transverse axis of the vehicle), at a discreet angle away from the center of the vehicle. A target may then be placed along the laser line to aid in the calibration of vehicle sensors.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for monitoring rides in a vehicle in which a driver of the vehicle picks up a rider at a pickup location and drives the rider to a drop-off destination. The system includes at least one sensor arranged in the vehicle and configured to capture sensor data during the rides, a transceiver configured to communicate with a personal electronic device of a driver of the vehicle, a non-volatile memory configured to store data; and a processor. The system captures sensor data during a ride, receives a ride identifier from the personal electronic device that uniquely identifies the ride, and stores the sensor data captured during the ride with the ride identifier as metadata.
