Abstract: A method for regulating a kinematic variable of a motor vehicle. The method includes: receiving actual value signals, which represent an actual value of a kinematic variable of a motor vehicle; receiving setpoint signals, which represent a setpoint value of the kinematic variable; ascertaining an actuating variable to be implemented by one or multiple actuating element(s) of the motor vehicle, based on the actual value, the setpoint value and a variation of the setpoint value over time in such a way that a deviation between the actual value and the setpoint value becomes smaller when the actuating variable is implemented with the aid of the one or multiple actuating element(s); and outputting actuating variable signals, which represent the ascertained actuating variable. A device, a computer program, and a machine-readable memory medium are also described.

Abstract: An acoustic imaging system includes a controller. The controller may be configured to receive a signal from a microphone and reverberation channel data, update latent variables, latent labels, a source amplitude, and a phase estimation based on an optimization of the signal and reverberation channel data to obtain updated latent variables, updated latent labels, an updated source amplitude, and an updated phase estimation, generate, via a conditional generative adversarial network (cGAN) of the updated latent variables and the updated latent labels, an acoustic source map tuned via the updated source amplitude and the updated phase estimation, optimize the acoustic source map, and output the optimized acoustic source map.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for detecting anomalies in a plurality of sensor recordings of a technical system. The method includes: ascertaining a first anomalous value which, with regard to all sensor recordings of the plurality of sensor recordings, characterizes whether or not an anomaly is present; ascertaining a plurality of second anomalous values, each second anomalous value corresponding to a sensor recording of the plurality of sensor recordings, and with regard to the sensor recording characterizing whether or not an anomaly is present in other sensor recordings of the plurality of sensor recordings; detecting an anomaly in a sensor recording if the first anomalous value characterizes the presence of an anomaly, and the second anomalous value corresponding to the sensor recording characterizes no anomaly, and the second anomalous value differs beyond a predefined extent from other second anomalous values of the plurality of second anomalous values.
Abstract: A method and a device for operating a vehicle assistance system in that the environment of the vehicle and objects located in the vehicle are determined using detected signals from an environment sensor system. Using the method and device it may be determined whether the roadway lying ahead of the vehicle driving in an automated driving mode is snow-covered and has tire tracks. In the event the tire tracks are there, and depending on the determined course of the tire tracks for the vehicle, a decision is made as to whether a journey along these tire tracks is critical.

Abstract: A steering system has a steering rod longitudinally displaceable in a housing and a steering motor acting on the steering rod via a ball screw drive. The steering rod has a recirculating ball thread interacting via spherical transmission elements with a transmission nut driven by the steering motor and that is rotatably mounted by a bearing arrangement with a pivot bearing having an inner ring to which a mechanism wheel is fixedly attached. The transmission nut is pivotably mounted on the mechanism wheel about a pivot axis oriented perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the steering rod, and has a curved joint section which interacts with a curved joint section of the mechanism wheel to form a pivoting bearing. An elastically deformed spring ring arranged between the joint sections provides freedom from play of the pivoting joint.
