Abstract: A MEMS sensor, including a substrate, and at least three functional layers, which are connected to the substrate on top of one another and spaced apart from one another. A first of the at least three functional layers is deflectably situated. A first electrode, which includes at least two areas being situated at the first functional layer. A first area of the first electrode together with a second electrode of a second of the at least three functional layers form a first capacitance, and a second area of the first electrode together with at least one area of a third electrode of a third functional layer form a second capacitance. The electrodes are situated in such a way that, upon a change in the distance of the electrodes of the first capacitance, a contrary change in the distance of the electrodes of the second capacitance takes place.
Abstract: An overlap detection unit for a user station of a serial bus system. The overlap detection unit includes a collision detection block for detecting bus states on a bus of the bus system, in which, in order to transmit a message, bus states of user stations of the bus system are generated on the bus with a first physical layer in a first communication phase, and are generated with a second physical layer in a second communication phase, the second physical layer being different from the first physical layer. The collision detection block generates a signal whose value indicates whether or not the bus states in the second communication phase have a level that corresponds to an overlap of the first and second physical layers or an overlap of two second physical layers, and the collision detection block is designed to output the signal for the user station.
Abstract: A user station is described. The user station includes a communication control device for transmitting and/or receiving messages to/from a bus of a serial bus system, a format switchover checking unit for checking whether the communication control devices of the bus system have switched over the format of the messages from a first format in a first communication phase to a second format for a second communication phase, and a transceiver device which, for transmitting in the first format, generates a first bus state for a first digital data state of the messages and a second bus state for the second digital data state of the messages so that the second bus state can overwrite the first bus state. The transceiver device, for transmitting in the second format, generates different bus states so that the bus states for the different digital data states of the messages cannot overwrite one another.
Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit arrangement (100), comprising a control circuit (104) and a switch element (101) for switching between a first and a second switching state of the switch element (101). The control circuit (104) is designed to provide a variable pre-control voltage dependent on the switching state of the switch element. The pre-control voltage is a voltage that is switched as the control voltage at the switch element (101) during one of the two switching states. The control circuit (104) is also designed to vary the pre-control voltage during each of the switching states.

A gate control circuit is further provided, which limits the load current through the main transistor on the basis of a drain current through the mirror transistor.
Abstract: A method for synchronizing at least two environment sensors of a multi-sensor system using a central processing unit. In the method, the environment sensors acquire sensor signals that represent at least one item of environment information. The respective environment sensors generate data packets which include the respective acquired sensor signals and/or measured variables derived from the sensor signals in each case. These data packets are received by the central processing unit via a data network. Signal propagation times of the data packets for each environment sensor are ascertained using an algorithm, and a mean signal propagation time of data packets from a respective environment sensor is determined based on a content comparison of the measured variables included by the data packets with corresponding measured variables from data packets of at least one other environment sensor, and the determined mean signal propagation time is assigned to the respective environment sensor.

A further monitoring unit sends a command to the first monitoring unit to control the multiplexer measuring apparatus, and is provided in an electrical device, in particular a charging device, a diagnostic device or an electrical consumer, that can be electrically connected to the removable battery pack.

Abstract: A desalination device includes a container, first and second electrodes, an anion exchange membrane (AEM), and a power source. The container contains saline water that has an elevated concentration of dissolved salts. The AEM separates the container into first and second compartments into which the first and second electrodes, respectively, are arranged. The AEM has a continuous porous structure and a plurality of negatively-charged oxygen functional groups coupled to the porous structure. The power source is configured to selectively apply a voltage to one of the first and second electrodes. The AEM has a selective permeability when the voltage is applied such that cations in the saline water solution have a first diffusion rate d1 therethrough and anions in the saline water solution have a second diffusion rate d2 therethrough. The first diffusion rate d1 is less than the second diffusion rate d2 and greater than or equal to zero.
