Abstract: A storage container has a base having an opening and a lid for covering the opening. A lock ring is mounted on one of the base and the lid for motion between a first position and a second position. At least one lock member is formed on the lock ring. At least one stationary lock member is formed on the other one of the base and the lid. The lock member is aligned with the stationary lock member when the lock ring is in the first position such that the lock member engages the stationary lock member. The lock member is offset with respect to the stationary lock member when the lock ring is in the second position such that the lock member does not engage the stationary lock member.

Abstract: A receptacle includes a container having a bottom wall and a side wall extending from the bottom wall. The side wall defines an opening and is comprised of a front wall portion and a back wall portion. A lid is secured to the container along the back wall portion at a spring hinge where the lid covers the opening. The front wall portion diverges as it extends away from the base at a first angle and the back wall portion diverges as it extends away from the base at a second angle where the first angle is greater than the second angle. The spring hinge defines an axis of rotation of the lid where the axis of rotation of the lid is outside of the rim of the opening. The lid is shaped and dimensioned such that the lid contacts the rim for substantially the entire periphery thereof.

Abstract: A storage container system has a plurality of container bases and lids. Each base has a bottom, a continuous side wall terminating at a top edge, an open top bounded thereby, and an interior storage space. The plurality of bases can be stacked to form a base stack. Each lid has a main panel section, a perimeter skirt, a top side, and a bottom side. Each lid can close off the open top of any of the plurality of bases by connecting a part of the perimeter skirt to the side wall near the top edge. Each lid has a first connecting structure with a lid-to-lid component and a mating lid-to-lid component. Each lid-to-lid component can connect to the mating lid-to-lid component on another of the lids to form a lid stack. Each lid also has a lid-to-base component of a second connecting structure different from the first connecting structure. Each base has a mating lid-to-base component of the second connecting structure.

Abstract: A cooler comprises a body having a bottom edge and at least one handle positioned near the bottom edge of the cooler. The handle may be located below the center of gravity of the cooler or within approximately 2 to 3 inches of the bottom edge of the cooler. The body and the handle may be formed as one-piece and from molded plastic. The handle may also be mounted on a separate handle tray where the tray is secured to the body. A spigot may be provided for dispensing fluid from said body. The body may comprise an insulated wall construction. A removable lid may be used to close the opening. A handle may also be positioned near the top edge.

Abstract: A hinge comprises a post that forms a pivot axis for a lid. A ring portion is rotatably mounted on the post portion and comprises a hole having a recess extending from the periphery of hole where the hole receives the post. A pin on the post is dimensioned to fit into the recess when the recess rotates into alignment with the pin to lock the lid in an open position. The hinge may be used on a trash container that comprises a receptacle and a lid pivotably mounted to the receptacle at the hinge.

Abstract: A double-walled, vacuum-insulated container is manufactured with a cured inside coating. To form the container, an inner liner is disposed in an outer body. The inner liner has an inner sidewall, an inner bottom, and an inner lip, and the outer body has an outer sidewall and an outer lip. The inner and outer lips are affixed together with an affixation or weld having a first melt point. A plenum is enclosed between the inner liner and the outer body by affixing an outer bottom to the outer body and creating a vacuum at least partially in the plenum using a seal having a second melt point. This second melt point can be about 450° C. and 500° C. The coating is painted to an inside surface of the inner liner, and the painted coating is cured with a temperature level at least below the first and second melt points.

Abstract: A food storage container has a base with a bottom, a continuous side wall extending up from the bottom and terminating at an upper end, a storage space within the side wall above the bottom, and an open top. A lid of the container is configured to attach to and close off the open top. A tray of the container has a perforate panel and a tray foot. The tray can fit within the storage space with the tray foot resting on the bottom of the base and the perforate panel elevated above the bottom of the base. A connecting structure is carried in part on the lid, in part on the base, and in part on the tray and is configured so that the lid and the tray can be connected to one another and to the bottom under the base.

Abstract: A method of making a glass container comprising providing a mold defining an article having a base at a bottom of the mold cavity where the mold cavity comprises an undercut portion that defines a recess in the mold cavity; introducing molten glass to the mold; cooling the glass to cause the glass to shrink a sufficient amount that the protuberance recedes from the recess; and removing the container from the mold in a linear direction.

Abstract: A personal, portable drinking container has a bottle with a side wall, a closed bottom, a neck, a reservoir, and a top opening in the neck providing access to the reservoir. A cap is removably fitted on the neck to close the top opening. A ledge can be on an interior surface of the bottle below the top edge. A filter assembly is supported in the bottle and can be suspended on the ledge. The bottle can have an annular formation in the side wall below the neck to prevent the neck from deforming when the bottle is squeezed. The side wall can have a pair of squeezable sides and a pair of opposed stiff sides below the annular formation, whereby the stiff sides help the bottle to rebound quickly after each squeeze.

Abstract: A shelving system including brackets and shelves suspended by flexible or rigid straps from various types of shelving. The shelving system includes two frames that may include wire for forming ends of the shelving system. Each frame includes a shelf supporting element including first and second shelf rod receiving elements. A shelf is provided that includes first and second spaced rods. The rod receiving elements are configured to receive and support the rods. In another embodiment, a shelving system includes at least two brackets that are configured to engage a fixed shelf, and at least one rigid strap depending from each bracket. Two frames are each associated with and releaseably attached to one of the rigid straps and include a shelf supporting element including a shelf retaining portion. A shelf is supported by the shelf supporting element and is retained in place with the shelf retaining portion.

Abstract: A work station comprises a mounting bracket adapted to be mounted to a surface. An upper arm and a lower arm are mounted to the mounting bracket for pivoting motion about a first vertical axis. A track is pivoted to the upper arm and the lower arm about a second vertical axis where the track supports a vertically displaceable carriage. The carriage may support a monitor and work platform where the work platform supports a key board tray. A lift system supports the carriage for vertical movement. Work station mounting systems are also provided for movably supporting a work platform.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus includes an elongated housing bounding a chamber with a motor disposed therein. A drive shaft is at least partially disposed within the chamber of the housing, the drive shaft being coupled with the motor such that during selective operation of the motor the drive shaft is rotated. A hub having a rotational axis about which the hub rotates is coupled with the drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft facilitates rotation of the hub. A cleaning head is removably coupled with the hub such that rotation of the hub causes rotation of the cleaning head. A disengaging system is movable between a first position where the cleaning head is securely engaged to the hub and a second position where the cleaning head is freely removable from the hub.

Abstract: A storage container system has a plurality of container bases and a plurality of lids for the bases. Each of the bases has a bottom, a continuous side wall extending up from the bottom and terminating at a top edge, an interior storage space within the side wall above the bottom, and an open top bounded by the top edge. Each of the lids has a main panel section, a perimeter skirt assembly around the main panel section, a top side, and a bottom side. Each of the plurality of lids is configured to close off the open top of any one of the plurality of container bases by connecting the perimeter skirt assembly to the side wall near the open top. A first snap structure is provided on each of the plurality of lids. Each first snap structure has one component configured to connect to a mating lid component of the first snap structure on any other one of the plurality of lids to connect any two of the plurality of lids together.

Abstract: A container comprises a receptacle defining a space where the receptacle comprises a wall having a draft. A divider is mounted to the receptacle such that the divider rotates between a first position and a second position such that when the divider is in the first position the space defines a single space and when the divider is in the second position the divider defines two spaces. In another embodiment a divider is mounted to the receptacle such that the divider translates between a first position and a second position such that when the divider is in the first position the space defines a single space and when the divider is in the second position the divider defines two spaces.
