Abstract: In a tubular structure for forming a fishing rod, an amorphous metal long fiber tape is spirally or crosswise wound on a prepreg sheet tube with a predetermined pitch, not being overlapped in each turn, so that the prepreg sheet and the amorphous long fiber tape are joined together with high adherence, whereby its twisting strength, collapsing strength and bending strength are improved.
Abstract: A circular saw device having a variable cut-off angle includes a rotary table provided on a base, and a rotatable circular saw mounted on the rotary table to be movable upwardly and downwardly. A locator is provided on the base and has a curved front central portion concave backwards so that the locator does not interfere with the saw. The locator is movable between a first and a second position depending upon the cross-sectional size of the workpiece to be cut by the saw. The locator is placed in a first position when the workpiece has a small cross-sectional size and in a second position when the workpiece has a large cross-sectional size. Fitted members are provided in the bottom of the locator and are irremovably fitted in guide holes of the base so that the members are slidable in the holes to move the locator from the first to the second position. Pins are provided in the locator and are removably fitted in the small holes of the base to place the locator in the first or the second position.
Abstract: A chop saw arrangement having an improved lower blade guard pivoting mechanism. An upper safety guard is pivotally supported to a hinging member, and a circular saw blade is rotatably supported to the upper safety guard. A collar is attached to the upper safety guard, and a swingable arm pivotally connected to a supporting arm has a cam portion engageable with the collar. Angular position of the swingable arm is defined by the abutment between the cam and the collar. The swingable arm has an end portion pivotally connected to one end of a link member whose other end is pivotally connected to a lower blade guard. The lower blade guard is pivotally supported to the upper safety guard coaxially with the circular saw blade. Angular position of the lower blade guard is defined by the pivotal movement of the swingable arm through the link member.
Abstract: A scroll saw having a blade includes a body, a piston connected to the blade as to be moved upwardly and downwardly, and a motor for driving the piston upwardly and downwardly. A hung member is removably secured to the sawing blade. A pulled-down member is removably secured to the other end of the blade. A hanger is engaged with the hung member, and an arm secured to the body is configured so as not to interfere with the workpiece. A pulling-down member is engaged with the pulled-down member, and a suspension unit including a spring is attached to the arm and adapted to tension the blade by the elastic restoring force of the spring as the piston moves. The scroll saw machine is appropriately used as a fixed-installation type or a hand-held type saw.
