Abstract: This disclosure relates to a “hybrid” fabric made from a textured multifilament yarn in combination with an untextured multifilament yarn. The portion of multifilament yarns comprising this hybrid fabric are substantially without bulk or texture while the textured portion of multifilament yarns comprising the fabric have bulk. Such hybrid fabrics from this combination of yarns retain substantially similar abrasion resistance and tactility of a fabric made entirely of high tenacity air textured multifilament yarns. Nylon woven hybrid fabrics disclosed herein provide excellent properties especially for uses in apparel, rucksacks, softsided luggage, duffle bags, tenting and the like.

  • Patent number: 7468119
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of separation by distillation of 6-aminocapronitrile (ACN) and hexamethylenediamine (HMD) from a mixture containing ACN, HMD, tetrahydrozaepine (THA), adiponitrile (ADN) and low boilers (LB). A method for producing a distillate stream comprising HMD is disclosed, which is suitable for the production of Nylon-6,6. The tails stream from the distillation of the mixture can be further distilled to produce a distillate containing ACN and THA, which is particularly suitable for use in the production of caprolactam and Nylon-6 from the caprolactam. Process conditions of the method of the invention disfavor the production of 2-cyanocyclopentylideneirnine (CPI).

  • Patent number: 7455414
Abstract: A retractable mirror assembly for a vehicle which retracts towards and extends away from a vehicle body wherein the mirror compensates for the change in position so that the same perspective is maintained. The mirror assembly comprises the vehicle body in which a mirror housing that surrounds a mirror backing plate having a mirror glass is retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body. A second support bracket and a stationary bracket are connected and move in relation to one another in order to rotate the mirror backing plate and mirror so that the mirror maintains the same perspective while the mirror assembly is being retracted and expanded to and from the vehicle body.

  • Publication number: 20080271478
Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling system comprising an essentially flat evaporator consisting of individual evaporation plates (3a). Each evaporation plate comprises two high-grade steel plates (9 and 10) of different thicknesses, that are assembled by means of welding points (6) and welding seams (8). A channel (14) is formed between the high-grade steel plates (9 and 10), through which a coolant flows. Preferably, the evaporator forms part of the inner housing of a refrigerating appliance. The evaporator is produced by welding the plates (9 and 10) together. Compressed air is then blown between the plates (9 and 10), whereby the thinner of the two plates (9,10) is curved in such a way the channel (14) is created for the coolant.
