  • Patent number: 10969398
Abstract: The various technologies presented herein relate to identifying whether an individual has taken, and/or is under the influence of, a restricted drug. A density separation technique is utilized, wherein a sample (e.g., blood, saliva, urine, etc.) which may include an analyte is exposed to a first plurality of beads having an analyte attached thereto, a second plurality of beads having a metabolite-specific antibody attached thereto, and a plurality of fluorophore-labelled analyte-specific antibodies. After incubation, any analyte in the sample (e.g., delta-9-THC) is bound to the fluorophore-labelled analyte-specific antibodies, any free fluorophore-labelled analyte-specific antibodies are attached to the analyte of the first beads, and any metabolite in the sample is bound to the second antibody. By applying centrifugal separation, the first beads move to a region which undergoes irradiation.

  • Patent number: 10968700
Abstract: A ball transfer mechanism for a harmonic drive and linear piston motor is disclosed. The ball transfer mechanism includes a spherical ball and a cylindrical seat portion. The seat portion defines a hemispherical shaped recess with a contour for receiving the ball. The ball transfer mechanism is in an exterior wall of a housing for converting rotary motion to linear motion, driving a linear piston motor. The harmonic drive drives a rotor of the linear piston motor. The harmonic drive includes a hollow cylindrical coupler portion engaging a rotor portion for transferring torque to the rotor portion. Transfer mechanisms disposed along a housing wall of the linear piston motor engage the coupler portion. The coupler portion includes harmonic cam grooves for receiving spherical balls in the ball transfer mechanism that drives rotational motion in the rotor in response to axially linear movement of the piston assembly.

  • Patent number: 10971876
Abstract: Technologies pertaining to a rotary electrical contact device are described herein. A rotary electrical contact device comprises a first sheave that is disposed about a first axis and a second sheave that rotates about the first axis or a second axis that is parallel to the first axis. The device further includes two planetary sheaves that revolve around the first and second sheaves, and a belt that makes contact with each of the sheaves, the belt having an aspect ratio great than 1:1. As the first sheave rotates, the planetary sheaves revolve about the first and second sheaves and cause the belt to deform and roll along the second sheave. The belt makes rolling contact with the four sheaves. The belt comprises electrically conductive components arranged such that as the belt rolls along the sheaves, the belt maintains electrical contact between the first sheave and the second sheave.

  • Patent number: 10942215
Abstract: The various technologies presented herein relate to measuring a signal generated by a die-based test circuit incorporated into an IC and utilizing the measured signal to authenticate the IC. The signal can be based upon a sensor response generated by the test circuit fabricated into the die, wherein the sensor response is based upon a property of the die material. The signal can be compared with a reference value obtained from one or more test circuit(s) respectively located on one or more reference dies, wherein the reference dies are respectively cut from different wafers, and the location at which the reference dies were cut is known. If the measured signal matches the reference value, the die is deemed to be from the same cut location as the dies from which the reference value was obtained. If the measured signal does not match the reference value, the die is not authenticated.
