  • Publication number: 20090242279
Abstract: An electronic scale having a measuring sensor (1 . . . 16), a digital signal processing unit (18), a digital display (19) and an inclinometer (40). The inclinometer derives a signal for the tilt of the scale from the difference of at least two signals. The digital signal processing unit (18) is provided with an additional circuit component or program routine that adds the two signals and, by way of this cumulative signal, corrects the vibration-distorted signal of the measuring sensor (1 . . . 16). A plurality of inclinometers enables the simultaneous detection of momentary gravitational acceleration. For example, in an electric bubble level, the gas bubble moves out of place when tilted and the diameter of the gas bubble changes when the gravitational acceleration changes. The scale thus provides an additional signal for correcting the influence of disturbances with minimum complexity.

  • Publication number: 20090207064
Abstract: Measurement amplification methods and devices for detecting the detuning of a measurement bridge (10) to which a bipolar, rectangular supply voltage (Us) is supplied. The methods and devices use integrating A/D conversion and are characterized in that a reference voltage (Uref) used for the A/D conversion undergoes polarity changes synchronized with the polarity changes of the supply voltage (Us). Offset and drift are eliminated by totaling an even number of individual measurements.

  • Publication number: 20090206824
Abstract: Measurement amplification methods and devices for detecting a monopolar input signal (UE) by integrating A/D conversion. Before being digitized, the input signal (UE) is inverted according to the so-called Chopper principle and converted into a bipolar intermediate signal (UZ). A reference voltage (Uref) used in A/D conversion undergoes polarity changes synchronized with the polarity changes of the intermediate signal (UZ). Offset and drift are eliminated by totaling an even number of individual measurements.

  • Patent number: 7563994
Abstract: An electronic scale (1) with a display unit (9), at least one control button (11 . . . 14), a digital signal processing unit (5) and a digital interface (7) to a higher-level electronic data processing (EDP) system (15). The digital signal processing unit (5) has an activatable switch or program part for locking the scale. This switch or part releases the display of the weighing result only for as long as the higher-level EDP system (15) communicates with the scale (1) and locks the display at other times. The activation of the switch or part for the locking process is stored in a power-failure-proof memory (21).

  • Publication number: 20090147426
Abstract: A current-limiting circuit (100), which limits an electrical current from a voltage source to a consumer to a predetermined maximum current. A measuring resistor (110) is coupled into a current lead (103) between a circuit input (102) and a circuit output (104). A transistor (106) of the circuit is coupled into the current lead (103) with its collector-emitter path in series with the measuring resistor (110), and its base is connected to the current lead (103) through a series resistor (108). A shunt regulator (116) of the circuit has an anode, a reference input and a cathode, wherein the cathode is connected to the base of the transistor (106), and the anode and the reference input form a voltage tap across the measuring resistor (110).

  • Publication number: 20090147421
Abstract: A current-limiting circuit, which limits an electrical current from a voltage source to a consumer to a predetermined maximum current. At least one measuring resistor (110) is connected in a current lead (14) between a circuit input (12) and a circuit output (16). • Patent number: 7534971
Abstract: A weighing system having a base region (1), a parallel-guided load receiver (4), at least one transmission lever (2) that is pivotably mounted on the base region via at least one flexural pivot (3), and a coupling element (7) that connects the load sensor to the short lever arm of the transmission lever. The flexural pivot (3), at least one part of the transmission lever (2), and at least one part of the base region (1?) are monolithically formed from a block. The flexural pivot (3) is separated from the rest of the block by four horizontal parallel bores (31, 32, 33, 34) that are adjacently arranged in an annular manner in such a way as to respectively leave a thin connecting segment (36, 37, 38 39) between adjacent bores, and by additional slots. In this way, a hysteresis-free flexural pivot can be created without the need for separate assembly components.
