Abstract: This invention relates to a device for regulating the winding speed in the formation of cross-wound conical bobbins where the yarn is withdrawn at constant speed from a rotor spinning unit by a lever system able to displace the friction drive band of the drive roller for the conical bobbin under formation, in order to vary the average resultant value of the varying winding speed during each double stroke of the yarn guide element. Said lever system is operated by a two-direction rotary drive source which is activated when a linear position element, associated rigidly with the yarn storage element, senses by known means that abnormal storage swings persist.

Abstract: An improved bobbin winding method comprising variable-duration interventions for restoring yarn continuity which are implemented in accordance with a cycle divided into a first bobbin braking part and a second yarn joining part. Between the commencement of the two parts of the cycle there is interposed a delay the duration of which varies as a function of the angular displacement of the bobbin carrier arm.

Abstract: A method for restoring yarn continuity during bobbin winding by means of an intervention cycle of variable duration divided into a first part for braking the bobbin and a second part for joining the yarn. Between the commencement of the two parts there is interposed a delay which varies as a function of the diameter reached by the bobbin at the moment of intervention.
Abstract: A high-productivity bobbin winding method comprising a variable-duration intervention cycle for restoring yarn continuity. The cycle is divided into two parts, of which a first part is devoted to braking the bobbin and a second part is devoted to joining the yarn, between the commencement of the two parts there being interposed a delay which varies as a function of the time measured for the bobbin to come to rest during the preceding intervention cycle. By reducing the stoppage time for rejoining the disconnected yarn, unproductive time during the winding operation is shortened.

Abstract: This invention relates to a procedure for splicing yarns, whether textile or otherwise, with a joint made by coupling two single untwisted yarns and thereafter retwisting them, wherein the single yarns are untwisted beyond a substantially nil twist value and are then coupled and retwisted so as to impart to the single yarns a desired twist at least the same as the twist comprised in the original yarn, the untwisting phase being carried on beyond the nil value until a negative twist value has been imparted which is equal to at least 15-20% of the initial twist value comprised in the single yarn, and the value of the negative twist being at least in proportion to the desired reciprocal thrust induced between the yarns at least in the transitory phase when the fibers are parallel to the axis of the single coupled yarns during retwisting. The invention also relates to a splice made by the above procedure.
Abstract: A device is disclosed, which is useful for subdividing and diluting an accumulated amount of pirns in bulk, which comprises a chute positioned between a pirn container, and a conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is prearranged to transfer and meter a limited number of pirns. Along the chute, at least one barrier wall is provided, which can move along a vertical, or substantially vertical, direction, and is driven by a drive source, whose enabling is commanded by a level sensor located downstream the same barrier wall. A plurality of movable barrier walls, following each other, transversely prearranged along the chute relatively to the pirn falling motion, can be used. Each barrier wall is driven by a drive source, whose enabling is commanded by a level sensor located downstream of the barrier wall.

Abstract: A process for determining the optimum winding speed to obtain greater productivity of an automatic coner machine fed with a certain type of yarn. Acceleration and braking values are optimized, as well as various production parameters of the devices along the path of the yarn. For example, the yarn tension, the slub catching level, and the amount and nature of the lubricant, or paraffin, applied to the yarn. The collection front of the machine is subdivided into various winding sectors. Each sector is preset, by means of a central microprocessor unit, to operate at a winding speed, and with operating parameters which are partially different from, and partially equal to, the operating parameters of the other sectors, according to a program pre-set in said central unit. The central microprocessor unit processes the data received from each individual sector, and compares them to each other to define and display the values of the operating parameters.

Abstract: A plate mountable on the base of a bin-type container and advantageously profiled with transverse projections to provide the first layer of bobbins with stability against rolling, and also ensure that the subsequent filling takes place in accordance with precise storage configurations in order to obtain a considerable storage density. The profiling of the removable plate is universal, i.e. is suitable for any diameter of cylindrical or conical bobbin.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for selecting or sorting tubes for textile machines. Specifically, this method separates tubes which contain yarn residue from those that do not and discharges said residue containing tubes into a special container provided for that purpose. More specifically, the method provides automatic control in the transfer region between a spinning machine and a winding machine in the textile industry.
Abstract: A control device for adjusting the radial position of the sinkers in a circular knitting machine, consitituted by a couple of cams for the radial drive of the sinkers. The cams are co-planar and concentrical with the axis of the cylinder and substantially circular. The innermost cam is stationary. The outermost cam is radially approachable and pushable away due to the effect of a countercam externally placed around the outermost cam and provided with approaching and pushing-away lengths, which, by means of the countercam's discrete revolution, radially approaches the outermost cam, and pushes the outermost cam away.
Abstract: Equipment and process to supply winding tubes to individual reeling stations of a textile machine, and to carry out the subsequent insertion of a new winding tube between the bobbin holder arms of a collection station. The equipment comprises an accumulator device to position a number of reserve winding tubes in a spaced and aligned condition enabling transfer of an individual winding device axially to a collecting user device; a belt or cable transfer device for transferring the winding tube in axial position, to a winding station upon request by the winding station, or on a time preceding request; and a device for intercepting, collecting and inserting a new winding tube between the bobbin holder arms of the winding station.

Abstract: A yarn storage and return device for yarn being wound on a conical bobbin driven at a constant speed. The device comprises a lever system for storing and returning the yarn and for regulating and monitoring the amount of stored yarn. The yarn is drawn into the storage position by an arm of the lever system and is then released (i.e. returned) from this storage position. This returning operation releases the yarn from its storage position and replaces it (returns it), to its normal feed path. The device also comprises a yarn tension measurer, an electric comparator, and an electric control unit to measure and compare the yarn tension, and to process an electric controlling signal to activate a drive motor. The drive motor actuates a tensioning element which affects the storage operation of the device.

Abstract: This invention is a device for unwinding and guiding yarn from a feed bobbin located in a feed box. The device has an arm which is rotated by the tension of the unwinding yarn. More specifically, this invention is a device for unwinding and guiding yarn which has first unwinder arm rotating around the bobbin rotatably connected to a pivot positioned above the spindle head, and a second unwinder arm rotatably connected to the spindle for producing twisted yarn. The first unwinder arm is supported by a frame which is connected to the box containing the two superposed bobbins so as to allow the second unwinder arm to rotate within the rotatable trajectory of the first arm.

This changes the tension on the yarn to return the storage swing to within the regular range.
