  • Patent number: 10398573
Abstract: A multi-component implant insertion system for insertion of an intervertebral implant cage and methods of use thereof are described herein. Preferably, the proximal end of a hollow jaw is inserted into the distal end of an inserter. Once inside the inserter, a thread on the jaw engages a corresponding thread inside the inserter, allowing axial advancement of the jaw along the inserter. A ram is inserted through the proximal end of the jaw until the distal end of the ram protrudes at the distal end of the inserter assembly. Optionally, an adjustable stop introduced onto the superior portion of the inserter allows for control over the depth of insertion of the implant. An implant of appropriate size is introduced to the jaw of the inserter assembly and the implant/inserter assembly can be impacted into the vertebral body until the adjustable stop contacts the anterior edge of the vertebral body.

  • Patent number: 10404974
Abstract: An audio-visual system includes an audio source configured to produce multiple audio. The system includes one or more multi-view (MV) pixels, each configured to emit beamlets in different directions in a beamlet coordinate system. The system includes a processor that receives a specification of multiple listening/viewing zones located in a listening/viewing zone coordinate system. The processor associates multiple audio and visual contents with the multiple listening/viewing zones, respectively, and determines an audio mapping that translates between the listening/viewing zone coordinate system and the audio source and a visual mapping that translates between the listening/viewing zone coordinate system and the beamlet coordinate system. For each of multiple audio generated from the multiple audio contents, the processor, using the audio mapping, identifies an audio parameter value to produce the audio at a corresponding listening/viewing zone.

  • Patent number: 10401513
Abstract: Methods or systems for identifying seismic or acoustic signals of interest originating with moving motorized vehicles or footstep movement or stationary or moving machinery. A related system for monitoring an area includes a plurality of sensing devices each comprising a frame and a piezo-electric sensor element. A monitoring device is coupled to receive information from each of the sensing devices. One method includes providing a processing chain coupled to receive signal data from a sensor device which receives the signals, including a detection stage, a Joint Time Frequency (JTF) domain stage, and a classification stage. The detection stage identifies presence of signals that emerge from the background. The JTF domain stage estimates the state of the signals of interest over time. The classification stage assesses the previously derived information to form a decision about source identity. In one embodiment, the detector stage performs detections on a single cycle basis.
