  • Patent number: 9884696
Abstract: A label fitting device cylindrically opens and feeds downward an individual label, and thereby fits the individual film body around a fitting target carried to a fitting position. The label fitting device includes a feed unit which feeds downward the label base material while changing the carrying direction thereof, and a label fitting unit which carries downward the label and fits the label to the container. The label is formed by cutting the label base material fed by the feed unit. The label fitting unit is provided so as to be turnable relative to the container to thereby enable adjustment of the fitting angular position of the cylindrical label relative to the circumferential direction of the container.

  • Publication number: 20180017166
Abstract: The rotary face seal with magnet loading replaces known spring mechanisms with magnetic technology that provides a consistent load with minimal variation, which is not affected by natural frequency and material fatigue due to cyclic loading. This improves seal performance and service life by eliminating the issues that compromise the effectiveness of conventional spring mechanisms. The repelling pusher magnetic technology is advantageous because it replaces the spring mechanism within a self-contained stationary cartridge with a pusher type magnetic assembly configuration that enable exact drop-in replacement of existing seal configurations.

  • Publication number: 20180017167
Abstract: The rotary face seal with magnet loading replaces known spring mechanisms with magnetic technology that provides a consistent load with minimal variation, which is not affected by natural frequency and material fatigue due to cyclic loading. This improves seal performance and service life. The tubular magnetic ring is advantageous because it replaces existing seals within stationary cartridge with a puller type magnetic assembly design that results with the stationary cartridges being an exact exchange. The use of magnetic technology attached to the outside diameter of the rotating mating ring, which is attached to the shaft, that does not produce eddy currents because it is of a single pole configuration. The single pole magnetic assembly design is achieved by either axial or radial magnet orientation, such as in the form of a tubular magnetic band locating in a circumferential notch in the rotating mating ring.

  • Patent number: 9850770
Abstract: An intershaft seal assembly for use between an inner shaft and an outer shaft rotatable within a turbine engine is presented. The seal assembly includes a sealing ring, an inner ring, and a pair of end rings. The sealing ring further includes a plurality of asymmetric ring segments whereby each asymmetric ring segment further includes a vertical flange and a pair of horizontal flanges extending from the vertical flange in a non-symmetric arrangement. The non-symmetric seal geometry provides an axial force balance thereby reducing wear and increasing seal life. The sealing ring is disposed about the inner ring. The inner ring includes a plurality of ridges that engage the asymmetric ring segments so as to prevent rotation of the asymmetric ring segments with respect to the inner shaft. The end rings are disposed about the sealing ring and the inner ring.

  • Publication number: 20170350511
Abstract: A seal assembly is for sealing about a shaft rotatable about a central axis and includes a generally annular seal disposeable about the shaft. The seal has a first axial end exposable to a higher pressure fluid, an opposing second axial end exposable to a lower pressure fluid, an outer circumferential surface exposable to the higher pressure fluid and an inner circumferential sealing surface. The inner sealing surface extends about the shaft to define an annular clearance space between the shaft outer surface and the seal inner surface, which provides a flow path between the seal axial ends. The seal is configured such that a differential of at least a predetermined magnitude between fluid pressure on the seal outer surface and fluid pressure on the seal inner surface deflects at least the seal second axial end radially inwardly to reduce the volume of the clearance space.

  • Patent number: 9829028
Abstract: The present application relates to connectors that use canted coil springs to retain a pin to a housing. The connectors have increased disconnect to connect force ratios. Dual concentric spring configuration allows for an initial locking configuration that can be overcome with higher force and deflection of the second spring. Dual springs in series in a constrained groove can require a high force for connector disconnect, since force vectors may be in a direction relatively close to being along the spring major axis. A curved groove wall can offer resistance to a spring that is required to slide first into the groove in order to allow disconnect.

  • Patent number: 9831739
Abstract: A bearing isolator and explosion-proof current diverting device may be configured to dissipate an electrical charge from a rotating piece of equipment to ground, such as from a motor shaft to a motor housing. One aspect of an explosion-proof current diverter ring may include a stator that may be mounted to the equipment housing and a rotor that may be mounted to a shaft. The rotor may rotate with the shaft. A conductive assembly may be positioned in a radial bore formed in the stator such that the conductive assembly contacts the rotor to conduct electricity from the shaft to the housing through the explosion-proof current diverting device. The explosion-proof current diverting device may be configured to define a flame path to achieve various explosion-proof certifications.
