Abstract: An apparatus and method for orienting a tubular heat-shrinkable sleeve relative to a container. The apparatus includes a sleeve orientation unit that uses a moveable support surface to hold and rotate the sleeve relative to the container. To that end, the apparatus further includes a determining unit for determining an angular position difference between the container and the sleeve relative to an axis perpendicular to the conveyor belt on which the container is transported. The angular position difference is used to control the movement of the support surface.

Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a coil spring locking connector offering multiple groove geometries to allow multiple connection positions along the direction of insertion. A connector with an external spring access opening is formed through the housing wall surface. The opening allows access to the coil spring to allow removal of the spring from the connector prior to removal of the connector from a locked position to prevent potential damage to connector components.
Abstract: The present invention includes: a label opening unit, which preliminarily opens a tubular label folded in a sheet; a label expansion unit, which expands the preliminarily opened label; a bottle lifting unit having a mounting, on which the bottle is mounted and which can rise and fall; and a bottle pull-up unit, which lifts the bottle while holding with the bottle an upper end portion of the label attached to the bottle. After the bottle lifting unit has lifted the mounting on which the bottle is mounted, thereby inserting the bottle into the label expanded by the label expansion unit, the bottle pull-up unit pulls up the bottle, thereby removing expansion claws from the label and moving the bottle to above clamp members of the label opening unit.
Abstract: A refrigerant additive supply device can include an outer rigid container, an inner flexible bag positioned in the outer rigid container and defining a space therebetween where the inner flexible bag contains an additive without a refrigerant, a valve in fluid communication with the inner flexible bag, an actuator operably coupled to the valve, and a propellant sealed within the space, where the inner flexible bag has a device pressure that allows flow of the additive into a refrigerant circuit when the actuator is depressed. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Abstract: A canted coil spring made from multi-metallic wire to achieve combinations of desired material characteristics of different metals is discussed. Wire to be used in canted coil springs can have two or more metals oriented co-axially along such wire, such as an outer layer of one metal having one set of properties, and a core of a different metal having a different set of properties, that will achieve a single solid, multi-metallic wire with enhanced performance over a single material canted coil spring. Such features may be found advantageous in electrical applications, such as where both high electrical conductivity and high strength properties are desired.

Abstract: A connector is disclosing with a housing having a housing groove and a shaft with a pin groove. A spring may be located in either the housing groove or the pin groove. To prevent or limit the spring from popping out from the groove where it is positioned, a reduced entrance is provided. The connector may be used in a holding application, a latching application, or both a holding with latching application.
Abstract: The present cartridge seal assemblies pertain to rotary lip-type seals. In certain embodiments, a sealing member is constructed of a relatively hard material that increases the lifespan of the sealing member. The sealing member is energized with a canted-coil spring, which in some embodiments includes an adjustable spring force. The present embodiments enable control of sealing force to achieve an appropriate sealing force between the sealing member and the shaft based on factors such as temperature, pressure, rotary speed, properties of fluid media, etc. to achieve longer seal life.

Abstract: A film-fitting device includes a cutting mechanism that cuts a label-forming medium into a predetermined length, a film transfer mechanism that transfers downstream a tubular film arranged around a mandrel, and a shot roller that receives the tubular film transferred by the film transfer mechanism and delivers the tubular film downstream while rotating the tubular film in the circumferential direction. The distance from the cutting mechanism to the shot roller and the distance from the film transfer mechanism to the shot roller are both greater than the length of the tubular film formed by the cutting. Further, rotational drive of the shot roller is carried out by an independent servo motor or stepping motor.
Abstract: Coil springs with a plurality of interconnected coils each being defined by a wire path that results in a coil cross section that, when viewed along the coil axis, has at least two differentiated spaces each confined by the wire. Assemblies using such coil springs are also disclosed.
Abstract: A spring latching connector includes a housing having a bore therethrough, a piston slidably received in said bore, a circular groove formed in one of said bore and piston and a circular coil spring disposed in said groove for latching said piston and housing together. The groove is sized and shaped for controlling, in combination with a spring configuration, disconnect and connect forces of the spring latching connection.
Abstract: A non-standard and standard clause detection system imports raw input data or contractual documents, and extracts non-standard and standard clauses that are semantically linked. One embodiment of a disclosed configuration is a system and a method for identifying non-standard and standard clauses in contractual documents. The system and the method comprise of generating a primary policy and a secondary policy, obtaining a first feature data set by applying the primary policy to a semantic language evaluator, and obtaining a second feature data set by applying the secondary policy to the semantic language evaluator. The first feature data set obtained is the aggregation of the standard clauses used in the document. Furthermore, the second feature data set encompasses the first feature data set, thus the difference between the first feature data set and the second feature data set is the aggregation of the non-standard clauses.
Abstract: A canted coil spring assembly is disclosed having a plurality of coils and a filler material placed within the coils and in the direction of a centerline that goes through the coils. The plurality of coils have a loading direction that is generally perpendicular to a tangent of the centerline of the coils wherein a load is applied in such direction and causes the coils to deflect generally independently of adjacent coils.
Abstract: Systems and methods for protecting a cut end of an electrical conductor via the use of an end cap and an end cap attachment apparatus. The end cap attachment apparatus easily and quickly heat shrinks the end cap onto the electrical conductor, thereby sealing the end. The system comprises a heat-shrinkable end cap and an end cap installation apparatus. The end cap is placed over the cut end of electrical conductor. The apparatus comprises an inner heating chamber controlled through a control panel. The end cap installation apparatus applies heat evenly and rapidly to shrink and seal the end cap onto the cut end. The method comprises placing the cut end of the electrical conductor surrounded by an unshrunken end cap into the heating inner chamber for a sufficient time to shrink the end cap onto the end of the electrical conductor and then removing.

Abstract: A locking collar to be inserted into a cylindrical cavity or lumen of a device for securing mechanical elements from moving axially within the cavity. The collar includes two semi-circular cylindrical segments hinged together with an opposed single slit to allow easy installation within the cavity and pushed into position against the installed elements without the need to disassemble a device. The collar is a substantially cylindrical rigid member with an outer diameter closely matching the inner bore diameter of the cavity and includes an opening at the slit to receive a securing screw member to urge the two segments apart to engage the inner bore surface of the cavity and fix the collar in place thereby locking the elements in place.
