Abstract: A method is provided for the electrical protection of an electrical household appliance that is used to prepare food. The appliance includes an electric pump which is supplied with alternating current in order to convey a liquid through a conduit, and a heating element to raise the temperature of the liquid. The instantaneous value of the current I supplied to the pump is measured at regular time intervals. The method includes calculating the average value ?n of m current I measurements taken over a pre-determined time period T; comparing the average value ?n with a reference value ?ref calculated as the average value of the current I measurements taken over an earlier period of the same length; and opening the pump's power supply circuit when the difference between the average values ?ref and ?n exceeds a pre-determined threshold value ?1 for at least two successive time periods T as a result of low average current indicative of dry running.
Abstract: A cooking appliance, particularly an electric fryer, having a vat and a lid enclosing a cooking chamber, the lid having a viewing window disposed at least partly above the vat. The cooking chamber has an air inlet and an air and a cooking vapor outlet connected to a suction device. Air introduced through the air inlet is directed toward the air and cooking vapor outlet, while passing under the viewing window. According to the invention, the air and cooking vapor outlet has a plurality of perforations forming conduits extending away from the viewing window.

An electric heating resistor is disposed inside the vat and is connected to a control box separable from the vat. Said suction device is supported by said control box.
Abstract: Food cooking appliance having a ferritic stainless steel bottom and a ferritic or austenitic stainless steel bowl. The invention relates to a food cooking appliance (1) comprising: an austenitic or ferritic stainless steel bowl intended to accommodate food and provided with a lower wall having an outer face, a ferritic stainless steel cup added on said outer face and fastened to said bowl, said cup forming a bottom (7) by which said cooking appliance is intended to rest on a cooking plate, patterns (8) engraved in said bottom (7), said appliance being characterized in that the engraving depth (P) of said patterns (8) and the density thereof on the bottom (7) are chosen so that said bottom (7) meets the requirements of the EN-12778 Standard of November 2002, and in that the stainless steel of the bowl is equally of ferritic or austenitic nature. Cooking appliances.

Abstract: An appliance for cooking under pressure comprises a lid and a bowl having a side wall, said lid and side wall defining an interstitial space presenting an initial cross section of predetermined initial radial dimension for receiving an annular sealing gasket. The bowl, the lid, and the gasket are designed so that when the pressure inside the vessel reaches a predetermined critical value, the interstitial space presents a predetermined critical radial dimension such that the difference between the initial dimension and the critical dimension is great enough to cause leaktight contact between the gasket and the side wall to be broken. The invention is particularly applicable to domestic pressure cookers.

Abstract: A coffee machine includes a hot water generator, an infusion chamber for receiving an infusible product, an infusion dispensing outlet (6) and a foam producing device (40), which is interposed between the infusion chamber and the dispensing outlet and is provided with at least two outlet orifices (43, 44) arranged with respect to each other in such a way that two infusion jets, which are formed at exit, collide with each other, thereby producing a foam. The two outlet orifices (43, 44) are oriented to each other at an angle of 90 degrees in such a way that the first outlet orifice (43) is oriented in a vertical direction whereas the second outlet orifice (44) is oriented in a horizontal direction and placed in such a way that the collision of the two infusion jets takes place under the first orifice.
Abstract: The inventive infusion machine comprises a housing, a pressurised cold water generator arranged therein, a first infusion chamber (11) delimited by the first and second housing parts and a locking device (40) of said first infusion chamber (11), which comprises a locking control (42), a first locking element (20) rotatably mounted on an axis (VI) and a second locking element (16), wherein said first locking element (20) is arranged in such a way that it is rotatably movable between locked and unlocked positions. A locking lever (50) is mounted in such a way that it is pivotable about an axis (51) which is fixed with respect to the first housing part and is connected to the first locking element (20).
Abstract: A filter holder for a coffee machine is used for receiving a pod with an infusible product and includes a cup (2) having a bottom (3) provided with a discharge orifice (19) and an annular wall (4) extending to a top circumference (5) defining an opening which is mountable on a hot water outlet, and a pod support (10) which extends between the annular wall (4) of the cup at a distance from the bottom (3) and is provided with perforations (7, 8). At least one perforation (7) which is embodied in the form of an elongated slot extends on the plane of the support (10) and has a thickness which enables the infusion to freely flow. The filter holder (1) is particularly suitable for a coffee machine producing a low-pressure hot water.

Abstract: A household appliance for cooking under pressure, the appliance being provided with bistable calibrated leakage means suitable for taking up an open position in which the pressure inside the appliance is allowed to increase continuously to above a determined pressure P0, while also allowing air to be bled from the appliance, and a closed position corresponding to an absence of leakage of air to the outside, the open position being sustained until a predetermined pressure value P1 is reached. Rather than being sustained until the predetermined pressure P1 is reached, the open position is sustained for one of a predetermined time interval ?t after P0 is reached, and until a predetermined temperature value T1 is reached. The appliance is provided with at least one closure/opening safety means whose position is sensitive to pressure.
