The side wall structure includes shoulders to support a peripheral rim of the metal heater plate. A seal is disposed between the side walls and the peripheral rim of the heater plate. The kettle has a base including a skirt which fits around the side walls of the tank. A fixing arrangement attaches the base to the tank side wall structure.
Abstract: A bread toaster comprising: a frame; a bread-supporting carriage mounted in the frame for vertical movement between a toasting portion and a first bread discharge position, the carriage having an extension; first cushioning means for cushioning arrival of the carriage at the first bread discharge position; return means mounted between the frame and the extension of the carriage; and a control means having an abutment and being movable in the frame for limiting ascent of the carriage to a second position by interaction of the abutment with a part of the carriage, wherein: the second position is a second bread discharge position for discharging bread having a first size and the first bread discharge position is a position for discharging bread having a size smaller than the first size; and one of the abutment and the part of the carriage which interacts with the abutment is provided with second cushioning means for cushioning arrival of the carriage at the second position.
Abstract: A mechanical hair-removing device includes at least a vibrating part, drivers for providing a periodic alternative movement of the vibrating part and of a roller on which are located the hair-removing devices. The drivers of the hair-removing devices and the vibrating part are actuated simultaneously during a hair-removing session to cause a vibration of the hairy surface.

Abstract: A hot beverage machine, in particular a coffee maker, having a filter holder provided with a first pouring device having an outlet orifice, and a second pouring device having at least two outlet orifices. The second pouring device is capable of occupying either an active position in which it is located beneath the orifice of the first pouring device, or a retracted position. The second pouring device also includes an actuating mechanism for moving it between the two positions by manual operation performed at a location remote from the first pouring device.
Abstract: An electric steam iron for pressing fabrics, which iron includes an ironing sole plate, an electrically operated heating element disposed for heating the sole plate by converting an electric current to heat, and a switch unit for automatically reducing flow of electric current to the heating element when the iron is not in use. The sole plate is formed to have a low heat capacity, and the iron is further provided with a stiffening structure via which the sole plate is fixed in position in the iron, the stiffening structure being permeable to steam and being made of a thermally insulating material.
Abstract: A kettle includes a water tank, an electrical element under the bottom of the tank, connecting members to be connected to an electrical power supply and arrangements for regulating the operation of the element. The regulator arrangements and the connecting members include pins to be inserted in a connection module. Electrical connecting wires for connecting the pins are accommodated inside the connection module.
Abstract: Electric steam iron having a hot part (1) composed of a sole (7) and a steam chamber (4), the sole having a portion situated under the steam chamber, and the hot part (1) of the iron being subdivided into at least two thermal zones. A plurality of heating elements are each disposed to heat a respective one of the thermal zones and a plurality of regulation organs are each associated with a respective one of the heating elements. The at least two thermal zones include a first thermal zone (A) having at least one surface corresponding substantially to the steam chamber (4) and a second thermal zone (B) having at least one surface corresponding substantially to the portion of the sole situated under the steam chamber, the first thermal zone (A) and the second thermal zone (B) being in thermal communication with one another. The heating element which is disposed to heat the first thermal zone is arranged to at least partially heat the second thermal zone.
Abstract: A mechanical epilator (1) for pulling hairs from the skin (P), the epilator (1) including an epilator member (6), e.g., constituted by a roller (60) made up of disks and of blades, that is rotatable about an axis (61) and that is driven by an electric motor (3), in association with a mechanical coupling member (7). The epilator further includes, or is associated with, a moistening member for moistening the skin (P). Finally, it includes a fan system (4), likewise driven by the motor (3) and serving to lower the surface temperature of the skin by the effect of forced evaporation, thereby numbing the skin. Moistening may also be achieved by spraying water onto the skin.
Abstract: Applicator roller for a thermoplastic depilatory wax, the roller being mountable in a wax applicator assembly. The roller includes a wax applicator member and a control device associated with the wax applicator member and operable for causing the wax applicator member to selectively deposit on the skin of a user a band of wax having any one of a plurality of different widths. An applicator for a thermoplastic depilatory wax, the applicator being configured to be held in the hand of a user and including a reservoir for storing a mass of wax, a component for heating the wax and the applicator roller described above.
Abstract: A hair removal wax device comprising at least one tank (9) linked to a heating means (11) and a detachable instrument, independent from the tank (9), designed for sampling from the tank (9) a quantity of molten wax, with a means (12) for transferring of a quantity of hair removal wax from the tank (9) to the detachable instrument, where the detachable instrument is a ductile vessel (1) whose inside volume is variable.
Abstract: A weight sensor includes a test body in the form of a bar carrying strain gauges, the bar bending due to the effect of the weight to be measured. The bar extends inside a frame, one end of the bar being joined to the frame, its other end being free with respect to the frame and having a bearing surface designed to be subjected to a force in the opposite direction to a reaction force applied to a bearing surface of the frame. The entire sensor is made in one piece in the form of a flat block.
