Abstract: In a method of applying a decoration to an object, at least one layer of enamel frit slip is applied to the object, after which, without curing this layer, a decoration based on enamel frit and mineral pigments is applied to localized areas of this layer in the form of a paste containing the enamel frit, the pigments and a binder that can be melted by application of heat or cross-linked by exposure to ultraviolet light. The paste is heated when it is applied to the enamel frit slip layer to melt the binder that can be melted by heat, after which the combination is cured to vitrify the enamel frit slip layer and the decoration.
Abstract: A painless electric stimulation appliance for body care comprises at least one stimulation electrode (24, 25) and a vibrating part (23) positioned in the vicinity of the electrode, which mechanically prompts the skin in vibration in association with the electric stimulation. The vibrating part is mechanically actuated by the rotation around an axis (18) of a rotating element (22) which is in turn driven mechanically in rotation.

Abstract: A heating structure in the form of a sandwich is composed of first and second external elements, each having a face which is directed toward the other element, with the first external element constituting a heating plate, and the heating structure further including a heating unit interposed between the first and second external elements. The heating unit includes at least one substantially flat resistive heat generating element; a first layer of thermoplastic resin in which the heat generating element is embedded; an upper electrical insulating sheet and a lower electrical insulating sheet between which the resistive heat generating element and the first layer of thermoplastic resin are interposed to form a sandwich structure, with the first layer of thermoplastic resin adhering to each of the electrical insulating sheets; and at least one second layer of thermoplastic resin contacting one of the external elements and adhering the one of the external elements to the heating unit.

Abstract: A method and device for preventing the formation of scale in an electric appliance for producing steam, which appliance includes a reservoir for holding a quantity of water and a steam generation member for effecting a substantially instantaneous generation of steam; and a scale preventing device. Scale formation is prevented by heating water upstream of the reservoir to a temperature and for a time sufficient to precipitate minerals present in the water into a form which allows the precipitated minerals to be expelled from the appliance with steam generated by said steam generation member.

Abstract: The field of the invention concerns heating or cooking appliances. The cooking appliance comprises a casing (2) enclosing an integrated fixed or removable cooking receptacle (1) and heating means thermally connected to the cooking receptacle (1), means (3) for detecting, firstly, whether the cooking receptacle (1) is substantially empty and, in this case, opening the electrical supply circuit of the heating means, and secondly, for detecting whether the cooking receptacle (1) is filled so as to attain the predefined minimum weight, and, in this case, closing the electrical supply circuit of the heating means. According to the invention, the detection means (30) are operable by placing the cooking receptacle (1) in the casing, and by closing the lid (3).

Abstract: Safety device for an electric part mobile relative to a complementary unit cooperating in use with the electric part in a close together position. The safety device includes a system for controlling operation of the electric part movable between an on position and an off position and a system for sensing the position of the electric part relatively near or relatively far away from the complementary unit. A single switch has a connection position in which the electric element is connected to an electric power supply and a disconnection position in which the electric element is disconnected from the electric power supply. The switch is in the disconnection position if the control system is in the off position or if the sensing system detects the position of the electric element relatively far away from the complementary unit.
