    Abstract: An eliminating agent used for the measurement of the amount of glycosylated hemoglobins in a blood sample is provided. The eliminating agent comprises condensed phosphoric acids and/or the salts thereof as the main ingredient, wherein the agent eliminates labile glycosylated hemoglobin A.sub.1c into non-glycosylated hemoglobin and glucose. There is also provided a reagent comprising the eliminating agent and a hemolysis agent, which is used for the measurement of the amount of glycosylated hemoglobins; and an eluent comprising the eliminating agent, which is used for the separation of glycosylated hemoglobins in blood samples by ion-exchange chromatography to measure the amount of the glycosylated hemoglobins. A method for measuring the amount of glycosylated hemoglobin A.sub.1c in a blood sample involves the use of the eliminating agent, the reagent comprising the eliminating agent and the hemolysis agent, and/or the eluent.

    Abstract: An apparatus for feeding a long adhesive sheet material protected with parting films on both side into a forming machine by a specified portion each without any manual labor. An adhesive sheet material (10) let off through pinch rolls (102, 102) in a sheet cutter (100) is measured of its length by an encoder, and is cut in a preset length. A cut segment (15) of the adhesive sheet material is conveyed by a sheet cutter conveyor (200) to a specified position, where it is stacked up on a stacking truck (400) waiting above a weighing scale (500) by a suction and transfer device (300). When stacking of segments (15) is over, the weight is measured by the weighing scale (500). When this measurement agrees with the necessary weight, the specified number of segments (15) are carried up to the waiting position of a charger (600) by the stacking truck (400), and are charged into the specified position of a forming machine (20) by the charging machine (600).

    Abstract: Disclosed herein is a resin composition for toner mainly composed of a graft polymer which is formed by (a) 90 to 99.9 percent by weight of a copolymer formed by copolymerizing a styrene monomer and (meth)acrylic ester to contain at least 50 percent by weight of the styrene monomer and (b) 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a saponification value of 10 to 30 and a softening point of 70.degree. to 200.degree. C. This resin composition is prepared by graft-polymerizing the copolymer (a) and the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (b) under presence of a peroxide polymerization initiator. When a polyvalent metal compound (c) is employed, 85 to 99.9 percent by weight of the copolymer (a) and 0.1 to 10 percent by weight of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (b) are graft-polymerized under presence of 0.01 to 5 percent by weight of the polyvalent metal compound (c) and a peroxide polymerization initiator.

    Abstract: Blood coagulation is accelerated by contacting blood with an accelerator of hydrolase activity. The activation of the precursors of serine protease including Factor XII and the enzyme activity of serine protease is accelerated. The accelerator is a metal complex containing a ligand which is a cyclic compound having a five- or six-membered ring containing carbonyl groups adjacent to each other. Examples of such ligands are oxidized alkylgallate, partially or totally oxidized ellagic acid, partially or completely oxidized 1,4- di(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl) 2,3-dimethylbutane, 1,2,3-triketohydroindene and isatin. The metal of the complex is preferably Fe, Co, Ni, or Al. The complex may be combined with a hydrolase as a co-accelerator of coagulation, an organic acid having an amino salt and/or a quaternary nitrogen or an antifibrinolysis agent and/or an anti-plasmin agent.

A covering film having soft touch feeling can easily be formed even on surfaces of products with unevenness and curves. This sheet for covering a substrate has a soft touch layer formed from a resin composition containing at least one substrate selected from the group consisting of elastic beads and a porous inorganic material, and a urethane resin as its main components. This sheet is placed in a mold and a resin is molded in the mold, whereby a molding having soft touch feeling can be obtained. The sheet for covering a substrate has extensibility and is not likely to be broken during the molding.

The preparation comprises a backing that is impervious to medicines, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that is placed on one surface of said backing, wherein said pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains an alkyl (meth)acrylate (co)polymer in the concentration of 35-85% by weight, nitroglycerin in the concentration of 10-30% by weight, and a silicic acid anhydride in the concentration of 5-20% by weight, said (co)polymer contains as major (co)polymer components alkyl (meth)acrylates with alkyl groups having 6 or more carbon atoms, which alkyl (meth)acrylates include 2-ethylhexyl methacrylate in the concentration of 40-100% by weight based on the total weight of said alkyl (meth)acrylates. The preparation makes it possible for nitroglycerin to be absorbed percutaneously at a controlled rate for a long period of time. Also, even a compact preparation can supply a sufficient amount of nitroglycerin.
