    Abstract: A percutaneous-administration-type pharmaceutical preparation of nitroglycerin comprising a backing that is impervious to medicines, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer that is disposed on one surface of the backing, wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer contains alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer in the concentration of 80-95% by weight and the nitroglycerin in the concentration of 5-20% by weight, said copolymer contains as major copolymer components alkyl (meth)acrylate with alkyl groups having 6 or more carbon atoms, which alkyl (meth)acrylates include 2-ethylhexylmethacrylate in the concentration of 40-90% by weight based on the total weight of said alkyl (meth)acrylates, and the copolymer has a rolling ball tack value of 2 or less. The preparation obtained makes it possible for nitroglycerin to be absorbed percutaneously at a controlled rate for long periods of time.

    Abstract: There is provided a method for coating a metal substrate by the use of a polyvinylidene fluoride resin composition. The method comprises forming a coating film made of a melted resin composition on the surface of an undercoated metal substrate at a temperature of from 200.degree. to 350.degree. C., said resin composition containing a major amount of polyvinylidene fluoride and from 5 to 40% by weight of an inorganic filler based on the total weight of the resin composition; and precooling said coating film to a temperature T.sub.A and then keeping said coating film at the temperature T.sub.A for at least one minute, wherein said temperature T.sub.A (.degree.C.) satisfies the inequality:T.sub.C -10.degree.C..ltoreq.T.sub.A .ltoreq.T.sub.C +10.degree.C.,said T.sub.C (.degree.C.) being the crystallization temperature for the polyvinylidene fluoride.

    Abstract: A ball valve and a method for fabricating this ball valve wherein a ball seat, formed of a synthetic resin, is mounted at each end of a flow passage in a ball of the valve. A sealing end portion of the ball seat contacts the spherical surface of the ball only in the closed position of the ball. In the open position, the lip falls within a recess surrounding the end of the flow passage in the ball. A gap of 0.3 to 0.7 mm is formed, in the open position, between the wall surface of the recess and the end of the lip. The end of the lip should fall, in the open position of the ball, about 0.2 mm inside an imaginary continuation of the surface of the ball at the recess.

Diametrically opposed projections are provided on the inner surface of the valve body, the projections extending into the hole, recesses formed on the side of the seat carrier adjacent the one end thereof, and diametrically opposed grooves are formed in the side of the seat carrier adjacent the recesses.
