    Abstract: A magnetic recording medium comprising(a) a flexible substrate of a polymeric material,(b) a first magnetic layer of a ferromagnetic metal deposited on the substrate by an ionized cluster beam deposition method, and(c) a second magnetic layer of a ferromagnetic metal deposited on the first magnetic layer by a high-vacuum ion plating deposition method, and a process for producing a magnetic recording medium which comprisesimparting a kinetic energy in the range of 100 eV to 10 KeV to an ionized cluster composed of ferromagnetic metal atoms in a high vacuum corresponding to a pressure of 8.times.10.sup.-4 to 1.times.10.sup.-10 torr and impinging the resulting ionized cluster beam against a flexible substrate of a polymeric material to deposit a first magnetic layer of the ferromagnetic metal on the substrate, andimparting a kinetic energy in the range of 1 eV to 10 KeV to atom ions of a ferromagnetic metal by an ion plating method in a high vacuum corresponding to a pressure of 8.times.10.sup.-4 to 1.times.10.

    Abstract: A stop valve includes a main body which defines a fluid passage and a valve chamber. The stop valve further includes a spindle having one end connected to a handle and the other end inserted into said valve chamber, a valve seat positioned in said fluid passage and confronting said valve body, and a cap member positioned above said valve chamber. The outer end of the spindle is coupled rotatably to the valve body, while the rotation of the valve body is prevented by a rotation preventive means. A packing is interposed between the valve body and the valve chamber. The valve body is in sliding contact with said packing along the axial direction thereof during operation, upon rotation of the spindle about its axis.

    Abstract: A synthetic resin valve in which a body is connected end-to-end in abutting relationship to a cylindrical body cap having a flange at one end and a seat at the other end by screwing the two together with a cap nut. The seat includes a ring-like element having a lesser diameter portion which is fitted into an annular groove adjacent to a front end portion of the body cap, and a greater diameter portion which engages the outer peripheral surface of the front end portion of the body cap, the front face of the larger diameter portion of the ring-like element preferably resting in the same plane as the front face of the body cap which abuts the body. The ring-like element is cut radially in one circumferential region so that it may be deformed around the body cap such that its smaller diameter region may be fitted into the annular groove, and has a rear wall for engaging the cap nut.

    Abstract: A safety device for a gas burner comprises a first ignition nozzle 31 in a pilot burner 3, an inflammable gas guide tube 32 facing the first ignition nozzle, a second ignition nozzle 33 at the end of the guide tube oriented toward a main burner 2, a pressure sensing tube 6 coupled between the guide tube portion near the first ignition nozzle and one diaphragm chamber of a differential pressure sensing device 7, and an automatic valve 4 actuated by the pressure sensing device to close a main gas pipe 1. If the flame at the first ignition nozzle is extinguished the pressure near the beginning of the guide tube increases sharply, which actuates the pressure sensing device 7 to close the valve 4 and terminate combustion.
