Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems that use magnetic complexes in wellbore monitoring. A well monitoring system may comprise magnetic complexes disposed in a subterranean formation, wherein the magnetic complexes each comprise a first magnetic portion, a second magnetic portion, and a spacer portion; and an electromagnetic interrogator, wherein the electromagnetic interrogator comprises an electromagnetic source and an electromagnetic detector.

Abstract: In an embodiment, the present disclosure relates generally to a method for well stimulation. In some embodiments, the method includes pumping a treatment fluid into a well. In some embodiments, the treatment fluid includes carbon dioxide (CO2) and a breaker, and the method further includes treating at least one of a reservoir and a wellbore of the well with the treatment fluid. In some embodiments, the breaker is a solution of stabilized chlorine dioxide (ClO2). In some embodiments, the method further includes commingling the CO2 with water and forming, as a result of the commingling, carbonic acid. In some embodiments, the method includes activating the stabilized ClO2 to form activated ClO2. In some embodiments, the activated ClO2 is formed as a result of a lowering of pH in the treatment fluid by the carbonic acid.

Abstract: An electrically operated aerosol-generating system may be configured to detect adverse conditions (e.g., a dry heater). The system may comprise an electric heater comprising at least one heating element for heating an aerosol-forming substrate, a power supply, and electric circuitry connected to the electric heater and to the power supply and comprising a memory. The electric circuitry may be configured to measure an initial electrical resistance (R1) of the electric heater; measure a subsequent electrical resistance of the electric heater after the measurement of the initial electrical resistance; determine the difference (?R) between the initial electrical resistance and the subsequent electrical resistance; determine that an adverse condition is present if the difference is greater than a maximum threshold value (?Rmax) or less than a minimum threshold value (?Rmin) stored in the memory; and control a power to the electric heater and/or provide an indication if the adverse condition is present.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a localized blockchain that uses a mesh network to facilitate transactions for a localized event are provided. An electronic device can receive data from a localized mesh network to establish the device as a node on the localized mesh network. The established node can generate a cryptocurrency wallet that can be loaded with an initial amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens from a total amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens. The total amount of localized cryptocurrency tokens can be previously mined by a central authority of the localized mesh network. The established node can conduct transactions within the localized mesh network utilizing the localized cryptocurrency tokens. The established node can receive a portion of a cryptocurrency token for transmitting transactional data to a next nearest node on the localized mesh network to help facilitate a transaction involving other nodes on the network.

Abstract: An aerosol-generating device may include a housing having flexible portion along its length. The flexible portion is configured to transition between a relaxed or unloaded configuration and a flexed or deflected configuration. A flexible heating element and mouthpiece may also be disposed in the housing. When the housing is in a relaxed or unloaded configuration, the flexible heating element and the mouthpiece are at least partially longitudinally aligned with the flexible portion of the housing.

Abstract: Provided are chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) having antigen specificity for B-cell Maturation Antigen (BCMA). Also provided are related nucleic acids, recombinant expression vectors, host cells, populations of cells, and pharmaceutical compositions relating to the CARs. Methods of treating or preventing cancer in a mammal are also provided.

Abstract: Logic may detect a malfunctioning payment interface on a customer's payment instrument. Logic may receive transaction data about at least one transaction performed via a payment instrument associated with a customer. The transaction data may indicate a payment interface of the payment instrument through which the customer conducted the at least one transaction and the payment instrument may comprise one or more payment interfaces. Logic may determine, by a model, based on the transaction data, a probability of a malfunction by at least one interface of the one or more payment interfaces. The model may be trained based on a pattern of transactions associated with malfunctioning payment instruments. Logic may compare the probability of the transaction against a threshold. And logic may determine whether to contact a customer associated with the payment instrument, based comparison of the probability of the transaction against the threshold.

Abstract: A syringe includes a plunger having multiple sections of differing diameters or materials, and a barrel with a cavity into which the plunger is inserted. The barrel includes a first probe and a second probe opposite to one another such that an interior volume of the barrel is radially between the first and second probes. A microcontroller is configured to measure a capacitance between the first and second probes, with the measured capacitance having a first capacitance value when the first section of the plunger shaft is between the first and second probes and a second capacitance value different from the first capacitance value when a second section of the plunger shaft is between the first and second probes. The microcontroller is configured to determine that an injection has been completed when the second capacitance value is measured.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for receiving (RX) radio-frequency (RF) signals suitable for MRI and/or MRS from a plurality of MRI “coil elements” (antennae), each contained in one or a plurality of body-coil parts, wherein the body-coil parts are easily assemble-able into a body-coil assembly (e.g., in some embodiments, a cylindrical body-coil assembly) with shield elements that are overlapped and/or concentric, and wherein the body-coil assembly is readily disassemble-able for easier shipping, and wherein the body-coil parts are optionally usable individually as transmit (TX) and/or receive (RX) coil elements for MRI. In some embodiments, the system provides for repeatable assembly and disassembly for ease of maintenance (such as frequency tuning and impedance matching) such that the body-coil assembly can be fully assembled and tested, then taken apart for less costly and easier shipping (with reduced risk of damage) and then reassembled at the destination for operation in an MRI system.

Abstract: A system and method for early detection of a compromised client device includes a tamper detection service configured to monitor modifications to resource access privileges over time to identify unusual variations in jailbreak status that indicate compromise of the client device. For example, the tamper detection service may monitor the jailbreak status of system files over time to expose attempts to hide the jailbreak status of a protected resource. To validate that malware is attempting to hide the jailbreak status of a protected resources, the tamper detection process may launch multiple different resource accesses, targeting the protected resource, to determine whether different accessibility results are returned, indicating a compromised device.

A first storage unit having a compartment is also disposed within the storage area. Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for determining one or more credit lines based on statistical approximations of credit line optimization models. By approximating the results of the optimization model, the disclosed embodiments may provide real-time account level credit line determinations based on fewer criteria than used in the optimization models.
