  • Patent number: 10642719
Abstract: Techniques for monitoring operating statuses of an application and its dependencies are provided. A monitoring application may collect and report the operating status of the monitored application and each dependency. Through use of existing monitoring interfaces, the monitoring application can collect operating status without requiring modification of the underlying monitored application or dependencies. The monitoring application may determine a problem service that is a root cause of an unhealthy state of the monitored application. Dependency analyzer and discovery crawler techniques may automatically configure and update the monitoring application. Machine learning techniques may be used to determine patterns of performance based on system state information associated with performance events and provide health reports relative to a baseline status of the monitored application. Also provided are techniques for testing a response of the monitored application through modifications to API calls.

  • Patent number: 10645090
Abstract: An aspect of the present disclosure facilitates controlling access to objects having attributes defined against hierarchically organized domains, with each domain containing a corresponding fixed number of values. In one embodiment, in response to receiving data indicating specific hierarchies of the hierarchically organized domains, the corresponding fixed number of values of the corresponding domains in each hierarchy is displayed. Accordingly, a user is enabled to select a desired set of values from the corresponding fixed number of values of the corresponding domains, and to specify a security rule for a combination of the selected set of values and a user entity. The security rule is thereafter enforced when objects having attributes matching the selected set of values are accessed by the user entity.

  • Patent number: 10643364
Abstract: In some implementations, a system may include a camera, a display, one or more memories, and one or more processors communicatively coupled to the one or more memories. The system may identify a horizontal plane in an image being captured by the camera and presented on the display, may determine a size of the horizontal plane, and may determine that the size of the horizontal plane satisfies a threshold. The system may designate the horizontal plane as a ground plane based on determining that the size of the horizontal plane satisfies the threshold. The system may output an indication that the horizontal plane has been designated as the ground plane.

  • Patent number: 10641594
Abstract: A corrosion detection system for a pipe may include a corrosion detection tool. The corrosion detection tool may include a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter and receiver have measurements associated with each and these measurements may be used to determine an impedance. Derived constants match a numerical model that is based on the measurements associated with the transmitter and the nominal thickness of the pipe. The information related to the thickness of a pipe surrounding the corrosion detection is based on the derived constants and the impedance. This thickness of the pipe may be used to determine if a section of a pipe has a defect, such as, corrosion.

  • Patent number: 10645008
Abstract: Gateway devices at different sites of a primary Anycast network provide access to the sites by advertising a first set of Anycast addresses. A secondary shadow Anycast network advertises different second sets of Anycast addresses from the different sites in order to predetermine traffic shifts that occur as a result of changing one or more of the second set of Anycast addresses that are advertised from one or more of the sites. A traffic shifting device may implement a predetermined traffic shift in the primary Anycast network by selecting a particular second set of network addresses that produces a traffic shift at least equal to the predetermined traffic shift, mapping the particular second set of network addresses to a modified first set of addresses, and modifying routing in the primary Anycast network by advertising the modified first set of addresses instead of the first set of addresses.

  • Patent number: 10640697
Abstract: Certain metal surfaces are often unable to be effectively contacted with fluids containing hydrofluoric acid due to significant corrosion issues. Titanium and titanium alloy surfaces represent but one example. Corrosion inhibitor compositions comprising an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof can be used to suppress metal corrosion, including that taking place on titanium and titanium alloy surfaces. Methods for suppressing corrosion of a metal surface can comprise: contacting a metal surface with a corrosive environment, the corrosive environment comprising hydrofluoric acid; introducing a corrosion inhibitor composition to the corrosive environment, the corrosion inhibitor composition comprising an N-(phosphonoalkyl)iminodiacetic acid or any salt thereof; contacting the metal surface with the corrosion inhibitor composition; and allowing the corrosion inhibitor composition to suppress corrosion of the metal surface being contacted by the corrosive environment.

  • Patent number: 10641735
Abstract: Eddy current logging enables corrosion monitoring in nested-pipe arrangements. An illustrative method of logging total thickness of the pipe walls includes acquiring measurements from an electromagnetic logging tool conveyed through the innermost bore, each measurement associated with a TRF combination (transmit antenna, receive antenna, and frequency), and further associated with a position along the bore. Multiple scale factors are applied to the measurements to determine multiple total thickness estimates for each position, each of the multiple scale factors corresponding to a subset of single-pipe defect profiles. Preferably, every possible single-pipe defect profile is included in at least one of these subsets. A total thickness log value for each position is derived from the multiple total thickness estimates for that position, and the derived total thickness log values are used to update a displayed total thickness log as the measurements are being acquired.
