  • Publication number: 20190344911
Abstract: An apparatus configured to provide portioned instances of a compressible material includes a channel assembly, a gas source, a cutting assembly, and a discharge assembly. The channel assembly holds a bulk instance of the material extending through upper and lower channels of a continuous channel. The gas source supplies gas to compress the bulk instance. The cutting assembly moves in relation to the channel assembly to isolate the upper and lower channels, severing upper and lower material portions of the bulk instance. The discharge assembly directs gas to impinge on a lower face of the cutting assembly to discharge the lower material portion as a portioned instance. The channel assembly may be moveable, where operation of the gas source, cutting assembly, and/or discharge assembly are based on moving the channel assembly between various positions. The gas supply may be controlled based on a determined property of the portioned instance.

  • Publication number: 20190345803
Abstract: System and methods of controlling fluid diversion during stimulation treatments are provided. Real-time measurements are obtained from a plurality of fiber-optic data sources at a well site during a stimulation treatment being performed along a portion of a wellbore within a subsurface formation. Fracture growth and stress within the subsurface formation surrounding the portion of the wellbore are determined as the stimulation treatment is performed, based on the real-time measurements and a fully-coupled diversion model. An amount of diverter for a diversion phase of the stimulation treatment to be performed along the portion of the wellbore is determined, based on the fracture growth and the stress within the subsurface formation. The diversion phase of the stimulation treatment is performed by injecting the amount of diverter into the subsurface formation via at least one injection point located along the portion of the wellbore.

Abstract: Object recognition based estimation of planogram compliance provides an expected arrangement of products in shelves. Identifying whether a product is placed in an appropriate location of a shelf is a challenging task due to various real-time parameters associated with image capturing. In the present disclosure, an input image associated with shelf of a retail store is received and a product images are cropped. Further, a set of reference images stored in a database are scaled corresponding to the input image. Further, one or more composite matching scores are calculated based on normalized cross-correlation and shape based feature matching to obtain one or more probable product images associated with a location. Further, a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) is constructed based on the one or more composite scores and the one or more probable products. Finally, an optimal matching product image for a particular location is obtained from the DAG.

  • Publication number: 20190348150
Abstract: The present disclosure addresses the technical problem related to the identification of microbial basis of a disease in microbiome. A system and method for identification of key driver responsible for bringing a change in a microbial population has been disclosed. A subset of common taxa between the ‘control’ and ‘case’ dataset is chosen and corresponding microbial association network is created. The method involves the characterization of the important community level changes between two association networks (‘control’ and ‘case’) that are obtained for a particular disease or condition. A taxon in the diseased state with an altered set of associations (identified by a high network shift score), while still being increasingly important (identified with a positive increase in betweenness) for the whole network, necessarily holds a key significance in the identification of key driver.

  • Patent number: 10475256
Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to vehicle maintenance and more particularly to methods and systems for automatic vehicle maintenance scheduling. The method comprises obtaining acceleration data at a fixed sampling rate of a moving vehicle when the moving vehicle attains at least a pre-determined speed for a pre-determined time from start of the moving vehicle. The obtained acceleration data is processed to generate jerk energy values at predetermined intervals. Speed normalized jerk energy is computed based on an average of the generated jerk energy values and average speed of the moving vehicle. A relationship between journey number and the computed speed normalized jerk energy is computed. A vehicle maintenance indicator based on the computed relationship between the journey number and the computed speed normalized jerk energy is finally computed.
