  • Patent number: 9804838
Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable medium, is described that finds similarities among programming applications based on semantic anchors found within the source code of such applications. The semantic anchors may be API calls, such as Java's package and class calls of the JDK. Latent Semantic Indexing may be used to process the application and semantic anchor data and automatically develop a similarity matrix that contains numbers representing the similarity of one program to another.

  • Patent number: 9807066
Abstract: Techniques from the proposed invention relate to providing enhanced security. For example, techniques described herein allow a computer system, such as a mobile device, to support a wide variety of security functions and security sensitive applications on a mobile device by providing enhanced security via secure input and output data transmission and verification through a secure module. The secure module may cause user interfaces to be provided to users by providing obfuscated user interface data to the operating system that do not reveal elements that are part of the user interfaces. The secure module may receive obfuscated user input values representing user input values, and de-obfuscate these user input values, whereby the actual input values are not exposed to the underlying operating system. The secure module may track the flow of user input/output data through the computing device to ensure the integrity and authenticity of this data.

  • Patent number: 9805255
Abstract: A multimodal sensing system includes various devices that work together to automatically classify an action. A video camera captures a sequence of digital images. At least one other sensor device captures other sensed data (e.g., motion data). The system will extract video features from the digital images so that each extracted image feature is associated with a time period. It will extract other features from the other sensed data so that each extracted other feature is associated with a time period. The system will fuse a group of the extracted video features and a group of the extracted other features to create a fused feature representation for a time period. It will then analyze the fused feature representation to identify a class, access a data store of classes and actions to identify an action that is associated with the class, and save the identified action to a memory device.

  • Patent number: 9803022
Abstract: Described herein is the use of rabbit hybridoma technology, along with a panel of truncated mesothelin domain fragments, to identify anti-mesothelin mAbs that bind specific regions of mesothelin. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the rabbit mAbs bind an epitope that is not part of Region I. In particular, the identified mAbs (YP187, YP223, YP218 and YP3) bind either Region II (391-486), Region III (487-581) or a native conformation of mesothelin with subnanomolar affinity. These antibodies do not compete for binding with the mesothelin-specific immunotoxin SS1P or mesothelin-specific antibody MORAb-009. In another aspect, disclosed is a high-affinity rabbit mAb that binds Region I of mesothelin (YP158). YP158 binds native mesothelin protein in cancer cells and tissues with high affinity and specificity.

  • Patent number: 9803438
Abstract: A method includes introducing a bullnose assembly into a main bore of a wellbore, the bullnose assembly including a body and a bullnose tip actuatable between a default configuration, where a collet body forming part of the bullnose tip exhibits a first diameter, and an actuated configuration, where the collet body exhibits a second diameter different than the first diameter. The bullnose assembly is then advanced to a deflector arranged within the main bore and defining a first channel that exhibits a predetermined diameter and communicates with a lower portion of the main bore, and a second channel that communicates with a lateral bore. The bullnose assembly is then directed into either the lower portion of the main bore or the lateral bore based on a diameter of the collet body as compared to the predetermined diameter.

  • Patent number: 9804289
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for scanning an item utilizing an X-ray scanner in order to facilitate a determination of whether the X-ray radiation penetrated through the entirety of the scanned item. Various embodiments comprise a conveying mechanism, an X-ray emitter, a detector, and an X-ray penetration grid (XPG). The XPG may comprise a radiopaque grid that may serve as a reference for determining whether radiation passes through the scanned item, the grid oriented such that the grid members are neither parallel nor perpendicular to the direction of travel. Such orientation may minimize or eliminate “ghosted” radiation signals included in a visual display of the radiation received by the detector. A scanned item may be oriented with the XPG such that radiation emitted by the X-ray emitter that passes through a portion of the scanned item must also pass through the XPG before being received by the detector.
