Abstract: A wellbore perforation gun includes a gun housing, a plurality of charges, a first reactive material, and a second reactive material that is reactive with the first reactive material to generate an endothermic chemical reaction to drop the potential energy (in the form of temperature or pressure) of the gun housing. The perforation gun may further include a controller and a release capsule, with the first reactive material being disposed within the release capsule and the second reactive material being disposed within a chamber of the gun housing at a first time. The controller may be communicatively coupled to the release capsule and operable to generate a signal to the release capsule at a second time that is later than the first time. The release capsule may be operable to release the first reactive material into the chamber response to receiving the signal.

  • Publication number: 20170039555
Abstract: Customer online data is collected via script on customer computers and is communicated to a server hosted by an organization, such as a card issuer. The customer online data communicated to the server is non-personally identifiable information (non-PII). In turn, the server aggregates the non-PII customer online data from the set of participating merchants. The server associates the received non-PII customer online data with non-PII demographic data. Other non-PII transaction data, such as previous transactions processed at a card issuer, also can be associated with the non-PII customer online data and non-PII demographic data. These associations are, in turn, used to create reports and to provide services to help merchants or other requesting organizations develop online strategies to drive click thru and conversion rates.

  • Patent number: 9563917
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and apparatus for determining a cost basis associated with a plurality of shares of a security. In response to information identifying an issuer, the purchase date and the sale date, a list of capital events that occurred in connection with the security between the purchase date and the sale date is retrieved from a database. One or more shares held adjustment ratios are then retrieved from a database. Each of the shares held adjustment ratios corresponds to one of the capital events that occurred in connection with the security between the purchase date and the sale date. A current cost basis associated with the security may then be determined in accordance with the one or more cost adjustment ratios and the purchase price per share of the security.

  • Patent number: 9561537
Abstract: Shown is a method for manufacturing horizontal directional drilling pipe having internally and externally upset pipe ends. The forging is done by heating the green tube ends and applying pressure using a closed die hydraulic forging press to form the upsets. One end of a steel tube is worked by upsetting and pressing to form an external upset portion having an outer taper being shaped by upset forging. That portion is then pressed by an internal upset die so as to displace the outer taper to an internal upset portion having an inner taper. Internal upset forging is then carried out by an internal upset die to produce the finished part. The process allows the manufacturer to produce a thicker upset horizontal directional drilling pipe, where the ratio of the outside diameter to the inside diameter of the upset can be on the order of 3.5, or even greater.
