Abstract: A casket comprises a casket shell adapted to receive the remains of a deceased and having a pair of side walls, a pair of end walls, and a bottom wall, a casket cap closable on the casket shell, the cap including a dish assembly mounted to an underside thereof, the dish assembly including a cap panel, and at least one medallion mounted on either an interior surface or an exterior surface of either the cap or the shell, the medallion having text and/or graphics representing a life aspect of the deceased.

Abstract: A media transmission system and method for the transmission of a desired one of a plurality of broadcast media channels to a remote client over a data connection is disclosed. The system includes means for routing data for a first one of the broadcast media channels over the data connection to the remote client and means for routing data for an alternate one of the channels over the data connection following receipt of a channel change request from a user. This allows efficient use of a limited bandwidth data connection.

Abstract: Methods of detecting influenza, including differentiating between type and subtype are disclosed, for example to detect, type, and/or subtype an influenza infection. A sample suspected of containing a nucleic acid of an influenza virus, is screened for the presence or absence of that nucleic acid. The presence of the influenza virus nucleic acid indicates the presence of influenza virus. Determining whether the influenza virus nucleic acid is present in the sample can be accomplished by detecting hybridization between an influenza specific probe, influenza type specific probe, and/or subtype specific probe and an influenza nucleic acid. Probes and primers for the detection, typing and/or subtyping of influenza virus are also disclosed. Kits and arrays that contain the disclosed probes and/or primers also are disclosed.

Abstract: Based on the observation of the cooperation of osteopontin (OPN) and matrixmetalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in the promotion of the metastatic phenotype, therapies and diagnostic assays are disclosed for the treatment of a tumor that overexpresses OPN, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), for example metastatic HCC. In one example, methods of treating a tumor include administration of an agent that reduces cellular invasion resulting from the interaction between a fragment of OPN (OPN-5kD) generated by MMP-9 cleavage and CD44 receptor. Examples of such agents include fragments of OPN-5kD and antibodies specific for OPN-5kD. Therapeutic compositions are also provided that include such agents. Also provided are methods of diagnosing or prognosing a tumor, for example by detecting expression of OPN-5kD peptide or OPN-c mRNA in a biological sample obtained from the subject. Also provided are antibodies that specifically bind OPN-5kD.

One embodiment of the claimed subject matter is a process of designing a composite application system to meet an application requirement. The process includes defining a use case scenario performed by a composite application system to meet the application requirement, integrating the use case scenario with an execution tool, and specifying an underlying infrastructure for the system design, wherein, the entire process is performed within an integrated software application.

Abstract: A method for processing documents in a database having at least one record therein. Asset-related data contained on at least one document is reviewed pursuant to securitization of multiple assets. The at least one of the multiple assets comprises a commercial mortgage loan. The document is received into the database on a flow basis including receiving information from the document into the database as the document information becomes available for entry into the database. The flow basis includes collecting data from the document independently of an end use of the document. The contents of the document are analyzed to ensure compliance with at least one standard. The output data is provided from the record in the database. The output data includes at least data related to multiple assets associated with a securitization of the multiple assets. System, computer readable memory, and computer readable memory storage embodiments also are provided.

Abstract: A threaded union for tubulars used for high-pressure fluid applications includes a unitary nut supported by at least two nut retainer segments received under a top wall of the nut in an annular segment retainer groove in one of the tubulars. The nut retainer segments fully support the unitary nut. The nut retainer segments are held in the annular segment retainer groove by securing the nut retainer segments in the segment retainer groove.

Abstract: A portable carousel assembly for storing and facilitating access to medicine containers, such as plastic bottles commonly used for prescription or over-the-counter medications. Each medicine bottle is housed in a station that includes an aperture formed in a top plate of a rotatable receptacle. The rotatable receptacle is coupled to a stationary base. An ejection mechanism, such as a lever, cam track or ramp is operable to partially eject a selected medicine bottle from the receptacle so that it can be viewed or removed from the receptacle. The medicine bottle is maintained in the partially ejected condition by grasping means, such as flaps, gaskets, or webbing, or by operation of the cam track or ramp, so that the user need only use one hand to operate the carousel assembly and remove the medicine bottle.

The data structure includes plural records in a first memory, each record representing a node of the TST and comprising plural fields. At least some n-grams have a sequence of units. The plurality of fields includes one for identifying a given unit of the sequence for a given node, one reserved for storing payload information for the given node, and plural child fields reserved for storing information for a first, second and third child nodes of the given node. The child fields store a null value indicating the absence of the child node or an identifier identifying a memory location of the child node. For at least one record, at least one of the child fields stores an identifier identifying a memory location of a memory different than the first memory.

In another exemplary and non-limiting embodiment, an accident is detected, primary accident information is transmitted from a first recording device, a communication link is established between the first recording device and a second recording device, and a request is transmitted to the second recording device to transmit secondary accident information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system for optimizing the operation of an induration furnace and a method thereof; the system comprising: an interactive means to monitor and control the furnace to provide an optimized furnace operation, calibration means for generating a plurality of ideal set points for validation purposes, and a processing unit receiving, in real-time, the online process data from the interactive means and compute therein a plurality of real-time active set points which are matched with corresponding ideal set points from the calibration means, wherein, if optimization is required, an optimizing signal is generated and communicated to the interactive means. The system predicts in real-time the process and product parameters, that cannot be measured directly, thus, providing real-time optimization of the furnace operation, and thereby reducing the operating and production costs.
