Abstract: A time-based wireless pairing operation between a medical device, such as a patient bed, and a wall module in a patient room is initiated in response to a power plug of the medical device being plugged into a power receptacle carried by the wall module. Times determined by timers of the medical device and the wall module are compared by the wall module or by the medical device so that wireless pairing occurs only with the medical device that was plugged into the wall module. Different types of plug detectors used in the wall module to detect connection of the power plug include optical detectors, mechanical switches, and current sensors.

Abstract: Quantum computers pose significant threat to modern day cryptography. To mitigate this risk, migration of enterprise applications to a quantum safe state is needed. Crypto inventory, an automatic process to discover all crypto application programming interfaces usage in an enterprise application, is a first problem to be addressed in the migration journey. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for a dynamic generation of rules. An input program statement includes an unseen crypto application programming interface (API) is received which represents a method invocation. The invoked method is mapped by the input program statement with a rules database to infer and generate new rules for an unseen crypto application programming interface (API) belonging to (a) a same library by a weighted distance approach, (b) a library implementing known contracts by a graph traversal approach, and (c) a library implementing unknown contracts by a pattern matching approach respectively.

Abstract: Systems and methods for characterizing a subterranean formation that include a drill bit for drilling a deviated wellbore through the formation and that repeatedly changes direction. Also included is a directional drilling system and measurement equipment to detect a property of the formation. A trajectory control system is operable to: receive a well log; determine a property of the wellbore; segment the well log based on the property; and correlate one of the segments with the well log previous to the segment to determine a matching score for the segment. If the matching score is equal to or greater than a minimum threshold, the segment was taken in the formation and at the same stratigraphical true vertical depth (“STVD”). If the matching score is less than the minimum threshold, the segment was not taken in the formation and not at the same STVD and the STVD is estimated.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to system and method to determine crop growth stage nutrient deficiencies. Diagnosing correct nutrient deficiencies in the plant is very challenging based on plant image analysis during the cropping season. Further, trained single shot deep learning network determines a crop growth stage from a plurality of crop growth stages for each crop by extracting a plurality of morphological features. Then, the health state of the crop is determined based on a balanced plant nutrition index (BPNI) value. Further, a plurality of nutrient deficiencies corresponding to the current crop growth stage of the unhealthy crop. Further, a total nutrient deficiency score for deficient nutrients of the unhealthy crop.

Abstract: Though several data augmentation techniques have been explored in the signal or feature space, very few studies have explored augmentation in the embedding space for Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR). The outputs of the hidden layers of a neural network can be seen as different representations or projections of the features. The augmentations performed on the features may not necessarily translate into augmentation of the different projections of the features as obtained from the output of the hidden layers. To overcome the challenges of the conventional approaches, embodiments herein provide a method and system for augmented speech embeddings based automatic speech recognition. The present disclosure provides an augmentation scheme which works on the speech embeddings. The augmentation works by replacing a set of randomly selected embeddings by noise during training. It does not require additional data, works online during training, and adds very little to the overall computational cost.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to the field of image processing, and, more particularly, to a method and system for Multimodal Image Super-Resolution (MISR) using convolutional dictionary learning. Existing sparse representation learning based techniques for MISR have certain limitations which impact quality of the reconstructed image. The present disclosure performs MISR using convolutional dictionaries which are translation invariant. Low-resolution image of the target modality and high-resolution image of the guidance modality are modelled using their respective convolutional dictionaries and associated coefficients. Additionally, two coupling convolutional dictionaries are learned to model the relationship between them and synthesize the high-resolution image of the target modality more efficiently.
