Abstract: A system for determining data requirements to generate machine-learning models. The system may include one or more processors and one or more storage devices storing instructions. When executed, the instructions may configure the one or more processors to perform operations including: receiving a sample dataset, generating a plurality of data categories based on the sample dataset; generating a plurality of primary models of different model types using data from the corresponding one of the data categories as training data; generating a sequence of secondary models by training the corresponding one of the primary models with progressively less training data; identifying minimum viable models in the sequences of secondary models; determining a number of samples required for the minimum viable models; and generating entries in the database associating: model types; corresponding data categories; and corresponding numbers of samples in the training data used for the minimum viable models.

For example, the system may receive a plurality of communications for batch processing during a predetermined time period. The system may process, with a batch configuration file, a first alphanumeric data string of a first communication of the plurality of communications. The system may process, with the batch configuration file, a second alphanumeric data string of a second communication of the plurality of communications. The system may direct the first communication to a first micro-batch for processing within the predetermined time period based on the first metadata tag, wherein the first micro-batch is processed using a first validation and enrichment protocol and a first micro-batch configuration file, wherein the first validation and enrichment protocol and the first micro-batch configuration file are specific to the first source.

Abstract: A method according to an embodiment includes determining a group of subject matter experts in a back office with expertise to address a question from a user of a contact center system, determining an availability of one or more of the subject matter experts via a back-office platform executed by corresponding back-office devices of the one or more subject matter experts, assigning, via the back-office platform, a communication token to a selected subject matter expert determined to be available, wherein the communication token is associated with the question from the user, monitoring, via the back-office platform, for updates to the back-office platform associated with the communication token, receiving an update from the back-office platform associated with the communication token, and transmitting, via the contact center system, a message to the user device based on an update to the communication token.

Abstract: Various embodiments for contextual tapping engines. For example, an application executing on a computing device may authenticate credentials associated with an account and detect a tap of a contactless card to the computing device. The application may receive, from a communications interface of the contactless card, action data used to determine an action associated with the tap of the contactless card to the computing device. The application may determine a context of the application based on a current output of the application. The application may determine, based on the action data, the determined context, and data associated with the account, a first action associated with the tap of the contactless card to the computing device, the first action associated with at least one of the application and an operating system (OS). The application may initiate performance of the first action based on the tap of the contactless card.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to assessing soil carbon sequestration. One of the driving factors for climate change and global warming is emission of greenhouse gas emissions. Of the possible ways to reduce climate change and global warming adoption, sustainable agricultural practices will enable efficient soil carbon sequestration thereby reducing the greenhouse gases as well as increasing the crop yield. The disclosure is a method and a system for real time assessing soil carbon sequestration of farm based on remote sensing. The soil carbon sequestration of farm is assessed by continuously monitoring the farm at real time based on remote sensing using a plurality of satellite data and a plurality of farming data using several techniques. The several techniques utilized for assessing soil carbon sequestration includes machine learning, a carbon sequestration estimation technique, estimating a crop health index and an adoption index and computing a set of carbon sequestration parameters.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for an authentication mechanism that uses cryptographic tokens and eye-tracking data. In particular, the disclosed mechanism may receive an authentication request that includes an identifier of a cryptographic token and retrieve eye-tracking data and an image associated with the cryptographic token. The eye-tracking data may store various coordinates within the image and may be encoded for use in authentication. The disclosed mechanism may then transmit the image to a computing device (e.g., associated with a user) that is able to perform gaze detection as part of an authentication operation. In response, the disclosed mechanism may receive user gaze data collected during the authentication operation and determine whether the eye-tracking data matches the user gaze data. Based on determining that the eye-tracking data matches the user gaze data, the disclosed mechanism may transmit to the computing device an indication of successful authentication.

Abstract: Systems and methods for performing an intervention operation in a wellbore using a friction reducer fluid include a coiled tubing insertable into the wellbore, a pump operable to pump the friction reducer fluid through the coiled tubing and into the wellbore, and sensors operable to detect wellbore conditions. A controller including a processor is operable to automatically predict a wellbore depth at which the coiled tubing will incur a lock-up in the future based on the wellbore conditions and control the pump to pump the friction reducer fluid though the coiled tubing and into the wellbore to prevent the future lock-up.

Abstract: Provided is a method for setting a downhole tool, and a downhole localized heater. The method, in at least one aspect, includes positioning a downhole tool within a wellbore, the downhole tool including expandable metal configured to expand in response to hydrolysis, and positioning a downhole localized heater within the wellbore, the downhole localized heater being proximate the expandable metal. The method additionally includes subjecting the expandable metal to a wellbore fluid to expand the expandable metal into contact with one or more surfaces while activating the downhole localized heater to create a temperature spike and accelerate an expansion of the expandable metal.

Abstract: Systems and methods for characterizing a subterranean formation that include a drill bit for drilling a deviated wellbore through the formation and that repeatedly changes direction. Also included is a directional drilling system and measurement equipment to detect a property of the formation. A trajectory control system is operable to: receive a well log; determine a property of the wellbore; segment the well log based on the property; and correlate one of the segments with the well log previous to the segment to determine a matching score for the segment. If the matching score is equal to or greater than a minimum threshold, the segment was taken in the formation and at the same stratigraphical true vertical depth (“STVD”). If the matching score is less than the minimum threshold, the segment was not taken in the formation and not at the same STVD and the STVD is estimated.

Abstract: Systems and methods of separating multiphase flows in a flowline of a downhole fluid sampling and analysis tool, measuring target ions in the water phase, and separating between formation water and injection water are described. The system to separate the multiphase flows includes a three-dimensional barrier permeable to water and repelling oil and/or drilling mud filtrate into at least one bypass channel within the flowline of the downhole fluid sampling and analysis tool. For instance, the system to measure the targeted ions includes the system to separate the multiphase flows and an optical sensor, wherein the three-dimensional barrier has an aperture inside the three-dimensional barrier to let a light from an optical sensor go through perpendicular to the flowline.

Abstract: Product recommendation is a very important aspect of e-commerce applications. Traditional product recommendation systems recommend products similar to a query image provided by a user and allows minimum or no personalization. It is challenging to incorporate personalization due to the presence of overlapping fine-grained attributes, variations in attribute style and visual appearance, small inter-class variation and class imbalance in the images of products. Embodiments of present disclosure address these challenges by a method of personalized substitute product recommendation using Personalized Attribute Search Networks (PAtSNets) comprising neural network layers interleaved with Attentive Style Embedding (ASE) modules to generate attribute-aware feature representation vector of a query image provided by the user and conforming to the personalization instructions specified by the user. This feature representation vector is then used to recommend substitute products to the user.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for generating a virtual tag for an item in a physical environment. For instance, an image of the physical environment captured by and displayed on a user interface of a computing device may be provided as input to a trained machine learning model configured to identify the item including a first subset of item attributes. The item may be identified and information associated with the item, including a second subset of item attributes, may be received from a data store using the first subset. A spatial location of the item may be identified in the image. An icon may be generated for the item and rendered by the computing device for display on the user interface in association with the spatial location of the item in the image. The icon may be indicative of at least one item attribute from the first or second subset.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for activating a card using augmented reality. The systems and methods may include capturing a real-time image of the card using a customer device, and extracting card information from the real-time image. The card information may be processed and used by a customer device or a financial provider server to activate the card. The customer device may display interactive graphics overlaid on the real-time card image to guide the customer through the activation process, and to educate the customer about the components of the card and aspects of the financial service associated with the card, such as a credit card service. The customer may interact with the overlaid graphics such as by selecting icons or portions of the card to trigger tutorials or to set preferences related to the card and/or financial service.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for using cryptographic tokens that represent real-world items to enable those items to be used in different virtual worlds (e.g., game worlds). In particular, an object retrieval system may be used to retrieve a cryptographic token that encodes parameter data for an object to be used (e.g., displayed) within a plurality of computing platforms. The object retrieval system may determine (e.g., using a cryptographic signature) that the user is allowed to use the object and may then generate a set of parameters for representing the object with the particular computing platform requesting the object. The object retrieval system may then transmit the parameters to the requesting platform. The object retrieval system may perform the same operations for requests from other platforms, such that the object retrieval system may uniquely encode the parameters for the particular platforms.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing reciprocal data sharing in a data exchange system. Limitations may be placed on the amount of data an exchange member may access based on the amount of data contributed. The system may include determining a data contribution associated with a first member of the data exchange, determining a data access limit for the first member based on the data contribution, and providing data to the first member when the first member has not exceeded the data access limit. In some embodiments, there may be separate data access limits for each member of the data exchange, so that a first member may have different access limits when accessing data from a second member, data from a third member, and data from a fourth member. Further, the system may limit a requester to a type of data that corresponds to the type of data contributed.

Abstract: In some implementations, an analytics platform may process a data lineage configuration to identify one or more data sources storing one or more data sets associated with a data analytics use case and identify one or more data relations associated with the one or more data sets. The analytics platform may parse a source code template defining one or more functions to build a data mart and a data pipeline that enables the data analytics use case. The source code template may include one or more tokens to specify elements that define the one or more data sources, data sets, and data relations identified in the data lineage configuration. The analytics platform may automatically generate source code that is executable to build a data mart and a data pipeline to enable the data analytics use case based on the data lineage configuration and the source code template.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing an embedded compiler running within a Java Virtual Machine that recompiles code changes on-the-fly are disclosed. An embodiment of the present invention is directed to using scripts within an application codebase to define what actions to take following a code change and recompilation on a particular set of code. An embodiment of the present invention ensures that the new code is made available to the rest of the live running system in a way that avoids class or data version conflicts.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, via a processor, a request to access data stored in a storage component and determining an identity of a user requesting access to the data based on user device data. The method may also involve monitoring one or more activities performed by the user on the data, determining whether the one or more activities correspond to one or more expected activities for the user accessing the data based on a model, and modifying the one or more access rights of the user to the data in response to determining that the one or more activities do not correspond to the one or more expected activities.
