  • Patent number: 12062106
Abstract: A micro-hazard monitoring system detects and addresses micro-hazards in a user's environment. The system directs the user to traverse the environment, gathering mapping data for the space and objects found there. The system maps the user's environment, noting the locations and types of objects. Movement and wear simulations are performed on the mapped space advancing time to estimate the likelihood of damaging user/object interactions and the extents of any resulting damage, based on information in that map, the system notes potential problems and computes one or more micro-hazard scores reflecting the nature and severity of the potential problems. If a score so warrants, the system takes remedial action to address the micro-hazard, such as warning the user about the existence of the micro-hazard and potentially what to do about it and/or taking a direct action such as shutting off an electronic device.

  • Patent number: 12062039
Abstract: A user can associate a digital asset corresponding to a value with a transaction device to be used by another user. For example, a first user can load a digital asset corresponding to a cryptocurrency amount onto a transaction device, where the first user then provides the transaction device to a second user. The second user can utilize the cryptocurrency amount on the transaction device to conduct a transaction. The generation and use of digital assets can be managed using ledgers that store data in the form of block chains.

  • Patent number: 12060789
Abstract: A system can calibrate inconsistencies in a wellbore tool. The system can receive a first set of measurements and a second set of measurements with respect to different electromagnetic antennas. The system can decouple a first multi-components tensor corresponding to the first set of measurements and a second multi-components tensor corresponding to the second set of measurements. The system can determine, using the decoupled first and second multi-components tensors, a scaling factor. The system can apply the scaling factor to a raw measurement received with respect to an electromagnetic antenna of the wellbore tool positioned in a wellbore to decouple a third multi-components tensor or to decoupled components of a fourth multi-components tensor for controlling a wellbore operation.

  • Patent number: 12062258
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide keys for unlocking access to a location, like a user room, a secure location, a door at an employee location, a trunk, a closet or other locked location or item, on a payment card. Examples of a payment card include but are not limited to a credit card, a debit card, a smart card, an employee identification card, etc. A secure token that acts as digital key may be uploaded to the payment card. The payment card may then be put in close proximity of a wireless reader at the lock. The wireless reader obtains the secure token and extracts the contents. If the contents are proper, the lock is unlocked. Otherwise, the lock remains locked.

  • Patent number: 12060777
Abstract: A rotating ball valve may be employed in a liner hanger setting tool. A rotating ball member maintains contact with a valve seat throughout the operation of the rotating ball valve, thereby preventing debris from settling on the valve seat and compromising the integrity of a seal through a fluid flow path defined through the setting tool. The rotating ball valve may be actuated by selectively applying fluid pressure to the flow path, or by mechanical manipulation. Once the fluid flow path is closed, a latch may be activated to maintain the rotating ball valve in the closed configuration and a pressure may be applied against the closed rotating ball member. A downhole movement be induced by the applied pressure to drive an expansion cone through an expandable liner hanger, to secure a liner in the wellbore.

Abstract: A card with an embedded location tracker that can assist with locating a misplaced, lost, or stolen card is described. The location tracking device is embedded into the material forming the card. Other devices can form a crowdsourced network covering a wide geographic area that may be used to detect signals from the location tracking device of the card using a short-range wireless communication technology. When the card becomes misplaced, lost, or stolen, the card holder or the card issuer may use the embedded location tracking device to determine the current location of the card. In one embodiment, a tamper mechanism may also be provided to disable a chip of the card in response to an attempt to deactivate, destroy, or remove the embedded location tracking device from the card.
