Abstract: [Problem] The aim of the invention is to provide a method of sealing an electronic element such as an organic EL element using a normal temperature bonding method that enables bonding at low temperature and in which permeation of external gases such as hydrogen or oxygen through the sealed section (dam) formed by the organic material, or the junction interface of the sealed section and a cover substrate is suppressed.

Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and to a method for determining a skin inflammation value. The apparatus comprises an optoelectronic measuring device, preferably a 3D scanner, for recording a three-dimensional image of an inflammation region on human or animal skin, wherein area-related, spatial, and color values of the three-dimensional image can be detected by the optoelectronic measuring device, a computing unit for calculating the skin inflammation value from the area-related, spatial, and color values detected by the measuring device, and a display unit for displaying the calculated skin inflammation value.

Abstract: A reversible locking garment closure includes male and female members each attached to an end of a garment. The male member has a pin at an acute angle and the female member receives the pin in a corresponding angled channel. The acute angle provides resistance to decoupling the male and female members, and allows the closure to function under high tensile stress. The male and female members are coupled via motion in a plane parallel to the front and rear faces of the closure, allowing the closure to be operable when worn in a reverse orientation. In an embodiment, the closure includes a locking mechanism which resiliently resists decoupling of the male and female members.

Abstract: In one aspect, a computing apparatus is configured to generate trigger records for a transaction handler to identify authorization requests that satisfy the conditions specified in the trigger records, identify communication preferences of the users associated with the identified authorization requests, and use the communication preferences to target real-time messages at the users in parallel with the transaction handler providing responses to the respective authorization requests.

Abstract: According to various embodiments, a fleet management system is provided for capturing, storing, and analyzing telematics data to improve fleet management operations. The fleet management system may be used, for example, by a shipping entity (e.g., a common carrier) to capture telematics data from a plurality of vehicle sensors located on various delivery vehicles and to analyze the captured telematics data. In particular, various embodiments of the fleet management system are configured to analyze engine idle data in relation to other telematics data in order to identify inefficiencies, safety hazards, and theft hazards in a driver's delivery process. The fleet management system may also be configured to assess various aspects of vehicle performance, such as vehicle travel delays and vehicle speeds.

Abstract: A media automation system can provide a common program to multiple different servers, for example a terrestrial broadcast radio server and a streaming radio server. Each of the different servers can receive different content blocks to be inserted during breaks in the common program. Media items from existing content blocks can be removed, and different items inserted. If a content block is under-filled, media items can be inserted without removing existing media items. When items are removed or added to a content block, the removal can be reported to a traffic and billing system for appropriate action. Content blocks can be customized by removing or inserting items based on information obtained from a cloud-based application, or some other source.

The arrangement (10, 100, 200) comprises a filter (12) which has a membrane (16) that separates a blood region (14) from a gas region (18). The extracorporeal flow of blood is passed through the blood region (14) of the filter (12). Likewise, a gas flow of a purge gas is passed through the gas region (18), the purge gas being an inert gas or a mixture of inert gases. Further, the invention relates to a method for removing carbon dioxide from an extracorporeal flow of blood in which likewise an inert gas or a mixture of inert gases is used as a purge gas.

Abstract: A method and system are presented for sorting alert and offer messages on a mobile device. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a method including receiving alert messages at a mobile device where each alert message contains transaction data associated with a transaction conducted with a merchant. Upon receiving the alert messages, the mobile device receives alert message sorting criteria from a user associated with the mobile device, sorts the alert messages according to the received offer sorting criteria, and displays the sorted alert messages.

Abstract: At least some disclosed resistivity logging system embodiments include a logging tool and a processing system. The logging tool provides multi-component transmitter-receiver coupling measurements to the processing system. The processing system derives from the measurements initial formation parameter estimates based on a first formation model such as a radially-symmetric formation model having anisotropic, but otherwise homogenous dipping formation. The processing system further derives in one or more selected regions a second set of formation parameter estimates based on a second formation model such as a model having a dipping borehole through a series of horizontal formation layers, each having a vertical transverse isotropy.

When the program instructions are executed by one or more processors of a computer system operatively associated with a drill rig, the program instructions cause the processor to carry out the steps of initiating a drilling phase and monitoring a drill parameter during the drilling phase. The drill parameter includes at least one of drill rotational speed, drill torque or number of drill retractions. The program instructions further cause the processor to carry out the step of determining whether the monitored drill parameter is within a predetermined specification for the monitored drill parameter in order to choose a drilling phase defect mitigation routine. An access control message including an action to be performed on an online account can be sent from a mobile device to a server. A user verification query message can be sent to the mobile device. A user verification response message can be received from the mobile device. The user verification response message can include verification information that is different from login information for the online account. The user verification response message can be verified by comparing the verification information to stored information. If the user verification response message is successfully verified, the action indicated in the access control message can be performed on the online account.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems pertaining to the verification of portable consumer devices are disclosed. In one implementation, a verification token is communicatively coupled to a computer by a USB connection so as to use the computer's networking facilities. The verification token reads identification information from a user's portable consumer device (e.g., credit card) and sends the information to a validation entry over a communications network using the computer's networking facilities. The validation entity applies one or more validation tests to the information that it receives from the verification token. If a selected number of tests are passed, the validation entity sends a device verification value to the verification token, and optionally to a payment processing network. The verification token may enter the device verification value into a CVV field of a web page appearing on the computer's display, or may display the value to the user using the computer's display.

Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-readable media are described for securely installing, executing and/or migrating a security sensitive application in a trusted execution environment on a mobile device. For example, techniques described herein allow a mobile device to verify the operating environment of the mobile device, the security sensitive application itself and discover a trusted execution environment on the device to install the security sensitive application. Furthermore, techniques are disclosed for verifying the state of one or more applications on the mobile device against a synchronized copy of the trusted execution environment operating in the cloud and also migrating the state of one or more applications from a trusted execution environment from a first mobile device to a second mobile device in the event that the mobile device is compromised, lost, stolen or being upgraded.
