Abstract: An automated banking machine operative to cause financial transfers responsive to data read from data bearing records. The automated banking machine includes a card reader that is operative to read card data from user cards corresponding to financial accounts. The automated banking machine is operative responsive to the card data to carry out transactions that transfer and/or allocate funds between accounts. The automated banking machine is further operative to provide users with a receipt for transactions conducted. The automated banking machine includes a cash dispenser operative to dispense cash to machine users and to cause the value of cash to be assessed to financial accounts corresponding to card data. The automated banking machine is further operative to receive currency bills or other sheets from a user and to process and store such sheets through operation of a currency accepting device. The account corresponding to card data may be credited for the value of bills or other sheets received.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the invention provided a garment box comprising a bottom panel and a container portion that includes a first side wall, a second side wall, a third side wall, and a fourth side wall. In particular embodiments, the garment box further includes a walled enclosure portion contiguous to the first side wall and comprising a first fold over panel, a second fold over panel, and a third fold over panel. In particular embodiments, the first and third fold over panels include holes located proximate a mid-point of the panels and the second fold over panel includes a slot. The holes are configured to support a rod that is inserted into the walled enclosure portion. The rod is configured to support one or more heads of clothes hangers inserted through the slot and hung on the rod to secure clothes placed in the container portion for shipping.

Abstract: A deposit management system is operable responsive to data read from data bearing records. The system is associated with financial funds depositories. Each depository can accept items, such as deposit bags. Each depository includes a bar code reader that can read data from a bar code label that is located on a deposit bag. The system allows merchants to preregister a deposit before performing the deposit. A preregistered deposit is linked with a deposit identifier in a data store. The deposit identifier can be represented in a bar code. If the system determines that a depository read a bar code having a deposit identifier that corresponds in the data store to a preregistered deposit, then that depository is operated to automatically unlock its deposit entry door to permit the deposit. The system also allows merchants to review their deposit history.

Abstract: An automated banking machine is part of a banking system that can operate to cause financial transfers responsive to data read from data bearing records. The machine can also receive user card data from a cell phone, including an electronic account number. The phone's banking application encrypts the account number along with an inputted random number which was generated by the machine. The phone then displays a bar code image containing the encrypted data. The machine includes a bar code reader. The random number is used to verify the current transaction session. Thereafter, normal transaction flow can follow, including PIN input. The process allows for secure input of card data without physical insertion of a card. Thus, fraudulent activities based on card insertion can be reduced.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for generating a transaction alert for a transaction whether the transaction was processed by a first payment processing network associated with an alerting platform or the transaction was processed by a second payment processing network not associated with an alert platform. An authorization request message associated with a transaction is received by a transaction processing server configured to receive authorization request messages from a first payment network and a second payment network. If the authorization request message was routed through the second payment network, alert initiation data is transmitted to an alert platform associated with the first payment network. The alert platform is configured to apply at least one alert criterion to the alert initiation data to determine if an alert is to be generated, generate the alert, and transmit the alert to a mobile application.

Abstract: Compliance with retail display regulations that retailers are subject to within a plurality of jurisdictions is managed. Retail display regulations may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. To facilitate compliance, retail display regulations for a plurality of jurisdictions are centrally maintained. The regulations may then be used to dynamically generate retail display materials for locations across a plurality of jurisdictions with different regulatory schemes. The central storage and/or maintenance of the retail display regulations may facilitate compliance with disparate regulatory schemes that retailers are subject to based in part of retail location. Central storage of the retail display regulations may facilitate certification of compliance by regulating entities associated with the jurisdictions.

The automated banking machine including a transaction function device, a slot associated with the transaction function device, an indicator adjacent to the slot, the indicator includes at least three different color light emitting diodes (LEDs), and an indicator processor in operative connection with the indicator. The indicator processor is operable to cause the LEDs of the indicator to intermittently illuminate to produce a plurality of blended colors that correspond to a functional status of the transaction function device.

Abstract: A method and charging apparatus for adding refrigerant to an air conditioning system are provided. The method includes calculating a temperature differential by measuring a first temperature of a refrigerant inside of a refrigerant container and measuring a second temperature either at the air conditioning system or the ambient temperature. The method further includes using the temperature differential to calculate a compensation amount of refrigerant to add to a previously determined recommended amount of refrigerant based on the type of air conditioning system being charged.

Two or more speech samples are received, where each of the samples are of speech spoken by a non-native speaker, and where each of the samples are spoken in response to distinct prompts. The two or more samples are concatenated to generate a concatenated response for the non-native speaker, where the concatenated response is based on the two or more speech samples that were elicited using the distinct prompts. A concatenated speech proficiency metric is computed based on the concatenated response, and the concatenated speech proficiency metric is provided to a scoring model, where the scoring model generates a speaking score based on the concatenated speech metric.

The machine is operable to carry out a financial transaction for a person responsive to a determination that the person is an authorized user of the machine based on correspondence between identifying data read by a reader of the machine and data store information. The machine includes a check acceptor that is operative to receive checks from authorized machine users. The check acceptor is operable to continuously move a received check along its transport path while simultaneously rotationally orienting the check into alignment with the transport path. A check determined not to have at least one property of an acceptable check is returned to the machine user. Acceptable checks are processed and stored in the machine.

The PAFT generates a customized prepaid account invitation for the transferee user based on the prepaid account invitation request, and provides the customized prepaid account invitation for the transferee user.
