Abstract: A content insertion system helps digital media providers insert replacement content (e.g., localized commercials) at precisely the right places in the video streams delivered to downstream players. Specifically, with frame accuracy, the system inserts content insertion triggers into the delivered video streams. From a source video input, the system determines the trigger positions at which insertion triggers exist with reference to house timecode. The system then locates the corresponding trigger positions in the output video stream with reference to a framecount of frames generated by a digital encoder. The system inserts corresponding content insertion triggers into the delivered video stream when it locates the corresponding trigger positions.

Abstract: The invention provides highly sensitive, specific and efficient quantitative real-time PCR compositions, methods and assay kits to detect at least one IFN subtype and/or IFN subtype allotypic variants. Primer/probe sets complementary to the coding sequence of an IFN subtype of interest avoid spurious detection of degraded mRNA and enhances the correlation between the IFN subtype that is measured by the assays of the invention and the protein that is actually expressed. The invention also provides methods for designing primers and methods of using the compositions and assay kits. The compositions, kits, and methods of the invention may be used, for example, to monitor vaccine efficacy, autoimmune disease, chronic infections, or tumor therapy.

Abstract: An XML template having one or more nodes is received. Mapping information indicating an association of data and nodes of the uploaded XML template is obtained. Once the mapping is received, the structure of the XML template is determined. Based on the determined structure and the mapping provided, an XML based SQL query is generated. The generated SQL query can be executed to provide the XML document.

Abstract: A system and method for producing infrastructure health assessments enabling enterprises to monitor the health of individual technology portfolios and plan accordingly is disclosed. The tool uses two primary assessments to determine: 1) an infrastructure score based the general health of asset components; and 2) adaptability score based on asset components ability to interact with other elements within the asset. To generate the assessment scores, the tool accepts inventory input specific to a portfolio's assets and components. A user interacting with the tool provides classification information relating to each asset and component. The tool then calculates health assessment scores for both individual portfolio assets and for the portfolio as a whole.

Abstract: Utilization of information in a closed loop data system further augments modeling while at the same time enabling customization of offers based on spend patterns. Data mining techniques are leveraged to identify rules to determine higher response rate populations. These rules are referred to herein as “triggers,” in that the presence of particular attributes will trigger a cardholder as being more likely to respond to a particular offer. The benefit yielded by this approach is a greater acceptance rate to an offer provided by a transactional account company. To identify the triggers, records of cardmembers who already utilize a given product are analyzed to determine their spend patterns. The spend histories of customers who are eligible to use the product are analyzed according to the identified triggers. Customers whose spend patterns most closely correspond to the triggers are then targeted with offers for the given product.

Abstract: A system for securing a mobile financial transaction using an adaptive security policy is provided by presenting, via an external terminal, an input request associated with a vertex of the security policy. User input is received via the external terminal in response to the input request. A rule associated with the vertex is retrieved from a database. An edge is selected from a plurality of edges associated with the vertex according to the retrieved rule. A communication session of the external terminal is routed to a subsequent vertex via the selected edge.

Abstract: Systems, methods and devices for making and using EMF signature enabled portable consumer devices are disclosed. EMF signature enabled portable consumer devices, such as credit cards, can include a conductive or semiconductive brittle material layer with an intentionally created random crack or fissure pattern. The intentionally created unique random crack patterns can be created by cost effective and highly scalable standardized processes. When an input signal is applied to the portable consumer device, an EMF signature based on the unique random crack pattern can be induced. The resulting EMF signature can be detected, processed and used as the basis for various encryption, security or authentication protocols.

Abstract: A system and method for adding a new network device to an existing network is described. An existing network has at least one master network device that acts as the gatekeeper for adding new network devices to the network. The master network device receives a request from a new network device to join the network. In response, the master network device issues a request to the new network device to perform a specified action. The master network device receives verification from the human user that the specified action has been performed. Upon receiving the verification, the master network device adds the new network device to the network.

Abstract: A vertical position compensating device for a vehicle, a vehicle using the device, and a method for controlling the vertical position of a vehicle. The vehicle has a wheel set mounted on a chassis by a primary suspension system and a body mounted on the chassis through a secondary suspension system. The device is mounted on the body. As the vehicle is loaded or unloaded the device moves vertically with the body and also moves relative to the body in proportion to the deflection of the primary suspension system. The total motion of the device is used to adjust the vertical position of the body through the secondary suspension in a direction opposite to the deflection of the body to maintain the position of the body constant relative to a datum line.

Abstract: A mobile handset includes a card reader; a gateway; a funds issuer computer; and an authentication computer. The handset receives a request to load a value onto the smart card. The handset generates a funds request and sends it to a funds issuer computer. The funds issuer computer debits an account. The handset generates a load request with a signature and sends it to an authentication computer. The handset receives a response. The handset validates the second signature and loads value onto the smart card. For payment, the system includes a merchant server and a payment server. The handset sends an order request to the merchant computer, and receives a purchase instruction. The handset processes the message, and then sends a draw request message to a payment server. The payment server sends a debit message to debit the smart card. The handset validates the signature and debits the smart card.
