Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to perform an analysis of the accounts receivable of a business. Each component of the accounts receivable is reviewed individually and all factors related to that particular component are accounted for. A data tool is then implemented to analyze the data and to recognize the areas of all of the components that are susceptible to improvement. A strategy is then developed to maximize the efficiency of the accounts receivable.

Abstract: Automated authorization and processing of an interim payment is disclosed. When a merchant requests payment prior to a recurring payment process being enabled, the system handles the payment request without customer intervention. The system requests and receives a transaction coordination code for an interim payment from a financial processor. The system passes the interim payment transaction coordination code to the merchant so the merchant may obtain an authorized payment.

Abstract: A device receives information associated with a job implemented in a network, calculates a statistic based on the information associated with the job, calculates a score for the statistic, calculates health check information based on the information associated with the job, receives information associated with an executing job, and provides for display the calculated statistic, the statistic score, the calculated health check information, and a snapshot of the information associated with the executing job.

Abstract: A point of sale (POS) device may be configured to locate a payment system and transmit a payment authorization request from a remote location to a payment system, either directly, or via a payment system directory and/or a SSL Gateway. The invention also includes inserting third party account information into an encrypted portion of the payment request, so the payment request appears as a normal request to the issuing bank, but the third party account information may be used by the third party to bill the customer. The payment system directory is further configured to determine one or more payment processors to direct a payment authorization request, such that a single transaction may me allocated among multiple payment processors for authorization. Moreover, the payment system directory is able to format alternative payment methods into a format that is able to be processed over existing payment networks.

Abstract: A well screen inflow control device with check valve flow controls. A well screen assembly includes a filter portion and a flow control device which varies a resistance to flow of fluid in response to a change in velocity of the fluid. Another well screen assembly includes a filter portion and a flow resistance device which decreases a resistance to flow of fluid in response to a predetermined stimulus applied from a remote location. Yet another well screen assembly includes a filter portion and a valve including an actuator having a piston which displaces in response to a pressure differential to thereby selectively permit and prevent flow of fluid through the valve.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to viral variants exhibiting reduced sensitivity to agents and in particular nucleoside analogues. More particularly, the present invention is directed to hepatitis B virus variants exhibiting complete or partial resistance to nucleoside analogues. The variants may also comprise corresponding mutations affecting immunological interactivity to viral surface components. The present invention further contemplates assays for detecting such viral variants which assays are useful in monitoring anti-viral therapeutic regimes and in developing new or modified vaccines directed against viral agents and in particular hepatitis B virus variants. The present invention also contemplates the use of the viral variants to screen for agents capable of inhibiting infection, replication and/or release of the virus.

The device also automatically adjusts a weight of the voice recognition statistic based on the grammar improvement rule, and outputs the weight adjusted voice recognition statistic for use in the voice recognition application.

The method may also include modifying the request to a format compatible with the second entity and forwarding the modified request to the second entity. The method may further include receiving data from the second entity in response to the modified request, modifying the data from the second entity and forwarding the modified data to the first entity.

Abstract: An online card-present transaction system facilitates card-present type transactions with a merchant over a public network. A host system is configured to accept authentication data from a user via an authentication device. The host system, after authenticating a user is configured to retrieve the user's account information from a user database system and translate a user account number into a temporary transaction number. The temporary transaction number is then transmitted directly from the host system to the merchant, thereby eliminating the need for the user to send to the merchant over the internet, the user's transaction account number.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for treating radioactive waste water containing contaminating ions, colloids and suspended solids having like (usually negative) charges preventing their precipitation. An electric current is passed through the waste water in an EC assembly to cause electro-coagulation of the contaminants and anodes of this assembly are made of a metal that dissolves to provide cations for neutralizing the negative charges and forming precipitates containing neutralized contaminants. Precipitates are then separated from waste water by an electro-magnetic or other filtering unit. The water pH and conductivity may be adjusted before the EC assembly and additives may be introduced into its effluent for enlargement of precipitate particles, improvement of filtration, improvement of dewaterability, and/or enhancement of magnetism.

A set of devices profiles from the listing of network devices may be identified based on a particular device being associated with a particular service issue. The method further includes determining a set of problem prone device profiles from the set of devices profiles. A system including at least one database and a report processor may be configured to associate device data with service reports, identify service issue trends from service reports, identify at least one at risk device susceptible to future service issues related to service issue trends, and provide preventative support to the identified at least one at risk device.

Abstract: A system generates optical pulses, that include two frequencies within one optical channel, at a first end of an optical link, and receives the optical pulses at a second end of the optical link. The system also sets a frequency difference for the two frequencies of the optical pulses, calculates a relative group delay difference for the two frequencies of the optical pulses, and calculates a residual chromatic dispersion of the channel based on the frequency difference and the calculated relative group delay difference.

Abstract: A system and method of using a multi-layered network model for analyzing the survivability of network services. The model is defined in terms of layers, connections, entities, physical processing elements, physical network elements, and physical infrastructure elements. Network services are modeled by sets of communicating entities at the application layer that are connected by connections at the underlying layers. The generality of the model constructs enable the construction of models of complex networks and services that can involve multiple layers of communication protocols, network elements, processing elements, and failover/backup mechanisms. The service survivability of a network is analyzed by projecting the failure of a set of physical elements onto the model and then determining the proportion of service affected at the application layer.

Abstract: A system and method in accordance with exemplary embodiments may include detecting connectivity of a core network element to an internal network. In addition, the system and method may halt advertisement of a default route from the core network element to a network element external to the internal network in response to not detecting connectivity of the core network element to the internal network.
