Abstract: A device may receive, from a client device of a customer, item data identifying a price of an item and customer data identifying the customer, where the item data may be received by a transaction card from a price tag of the item. The device may receive price data identifying prices associated with multiple items and other data identifying locations, availabilities, and terms of the multiple items, and may process the item data, the price data, and the other data, with a machine learning model, to identify an optimal price for the item. The device may provide, to the client device, data identifying the optimal price and data identifying a merchant associated with the optimal price, and may receive transaction data identifying the item, the optimal price, and the merchant when the customer purchases the item. The device may perform actions based on the transaction data.

Abstract: In a variety of embodiments, machine classifiers may model multi-turn dialogue as a one-to-many prediction task. The machine classifier may be trained using adversarial bootstrapping between a generator and a discriminator with multi-turn capabilities. The machine classifiers may be trained in both auto-regressive and traditional teacher-forcing modes, with the generator including a hierarchical recurrent encoder-decoder network and the discriminator including a bi-directional recurrent neural network. The discriminator input may include a mixture of ground truth labels, the teacher-forcing outputs of the generator, and/or noise data. This mixture of input data may allow for richer feedback on the autoregressive outputs of the generator. The outputs can be ranked based on the discriminator feedback and a response selected from the ranked outputs.

Abstract: A transaction card may power on the transaction card using electric current induced from an interaction of the transaction card with an electromagnetic field. The transaction card may establish a communication with a device. The communication may indicate that the transaction card has powered. The transaction card may receive, from the device, a set of instructions to configure a set of applets on the transaction card after notifying the device that the transaction card has powered on. The set of applets to be configured may be related to completing one or more different transactions. The set of applets to be configured may be different than another set of applets already configured on the transaction card. The transaction card may configure the set of applets on the transaction card according to the set of instructions after receiving the set of instructions.

Abstract: Techniques to utilize excess resources in a cloud system, such as by enabling an auxiliary resource utilizer to use resources while they are not needed to support primary resource utilizers, are described herein. Some embodiments are directed to identifying and allocating excess capacity of resources in a cloud system to auxiliary resource utilizers based on one or more policies. In various embodiments, excess resources in one or more of the set of resources in the cloud system, or cloud resources, may be determined based on monitoring utilization of the cloud resources by the primary resource utilizers. In many embodiments, an auxiliary resource utilizer that is in compliance with a set of utilization policies may be identified and the excess resources may be allocated to the auxiliary resource utilizer.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a processor and a machine-readable medium having program code executable by the processor to cause the apparatus to obtain a scan result based on a core sample, generate a set of contours of the scan result, and generate a set of object associations, wherein the set of object associations includes a first object association that is associated with a first contour from the set of contours and a second contour from the set of contours. The program code also generates a set of contour connections, wherein the set of contour connections includes a first contour connection that is based on the first object association. The program code also generates a reconstructed core having a three-dimensional space based on the set of contour connections, wherein the three-dimensional space includes a volume greater than the core sample.

Abstract: Methods of wellbore cementing are provided. A method of generating a wellbore treatment fluid may include: classifying a plurality of solid particulates using correlations; calculating a reactive index and/or a water requirement for at least one of the solid particulates; and selecting two or more solid particulates from the plurality of solid particulates to create a wellbore treatment fluid.

Abstract: A system and method for helping a user carrying a smart device to maintain safe distances from other persons during an epidemic or a pandemic. A portable smart device measures the approximate distance to persons in the vicinity of the user, and notifies the user whenever he or she is too close to other persons. The portable smart device may overlay augmented reality graphics (such as arcs, lines, text, numbers, or other graphics) over images captured by the smart device's camera, to indicate safe distances. The graphics serve to inform and/or warn the user that he or she may be getting too close to other persons.

Abstract: Systems and methods for sorting items for delivery to delivery points, using delivery point compression. Items can be sorted and sequenced for delivery by a sorting machine having a finite number of sorting destinations. For routes having more delivery points than the number of sorting destinations, delivery point compression allows sorting destination assignments that eliminate delivery points not likely to receive any items. Sorting destination assignments can be performed by a processor of the sorting machine based on expected item information and delivery point item frequency scores.

Abstract: Existing digital marking systems employ round robin mechanism for assigning candidate responses to faculty members for correction which may require manually feeding routing data. These mechanisms do not accommodate specific requirements when rules are to be applied for answer scripts assignment to markers and do not take into consideration marking quality and schedule. Present disclosure provides systems and methods that achieve high marking standards by assigning answer script to a most eligible marker wherein parts of answer script are assigned to most eligible domain marker in case of segmented marking. Marker and answer script attributes are captured that form part of assignment rules thus enabling creation of conditions. Marker profiles are generated based on expertise and availability.

Abstract: A method and system for a pipeline inspection gauge. The method may include disposing a pipeline inspection gauge in a pipeline. The pipeline inspection gauge may comprise one or more modules attached to each other and an orifice. The pipeline inspection gauge may further include a generator disposed within at least one of the one or more modules, a turbine connected to the generator through a shaft, and at least four wheels connected to an outer surface of at least one of the one or more modules. The method may further include moving the pipeline inspection gauge using an at least partially opened orifice, wherein force from fluid flow in the pipeline is transferred through the orifice to the pipeline inspection gauge to create movement and creating a positive pressure pulse by closing the at least partially opened orifice.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for using a feature hierarchy with multiple levels with a different number of features at different levels to segment a dataset. The mechanism may use the first level of the hierarchy to segment a dataset into multiple datasets and then generate a timeseries dataset for each segment. Those timeseries datasets may be input into an anomaly detection model to identify a number of anomalies detected within those segments. Based on the number of anomalies not reaching a threshold, a second level of the hierarchy may be used to segment the dataset. Those segments may be input into the anomaly detection model to determine a number of anomalies for the second level. This process may continue until a level of the hierarchy is determined such that the number of anomalies reaches the threshold. The mechanism may then generate a security rule to deal with the anomalies.

Abstract: The ELECTRONIC RECEIPT MANAGER APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“ERM”) transforms transaction initiation requests and receipt requests via ERM components into receipt formatting, organization, storage and linkage with transactions. The ERM may be configured to receive a receipt through an interface of a portable device and determine a set of fields for formatting data from the receipt. The ERM may format the data from the receipt to include the set of fields and store the formatted data in a memory element of the portable device.

Abstract: A method for making a smokeless tobacco article can include combining thermoplastic polymer particles with tobacco particles to form a mixture of particles, compressing the mixture of particles within a pressing apparatus to form the mixture into a predetermined shape, separating the mixture from the pressing apparatus such that it retains the predetermined shape, and heating the mixture outside of the pressing apparatus to at least partially melt at least some of the thermoplastic polymer particles and form a matrix of polymer and tobacco particles.

A browser widget scans post-sale activities of a user and searches for product-specific parameters of items from the scanned purchase records. A system stores the searched product-specific parameters and the post-sale activities in a data storage. The browser widget monitors purchasing activities of the user, and in response to the monitoring, retrieving, relevant product-specific parameters and the post-sale activities matching to the monitored purchasing activities. Based on the retrieving, generating a pre-purchasing confidence recommendation to the user before completion of a purchase by the user.

Abstract: A method is disclosed. The method includes a user device storing a message data template comprising a plurality of data fields. A multi-record message may be generated using the message data template in response to an interaction between the user device and an access device. To generate the multi-record message, the user device may increment a counter stored on the user device to produce a counter value, and generate a dynamic cryptogram. The user device may additionally retrieve a credential. The counter value, the dynamic cryptogram, and the credential may then be incorporated into the plurality of data fields of the message data template to form the multi-record message. The multi-record message may be transmitted to the access device, where the access device forwards the multi-record message to an authorization computer to authorize or deny the interaction.

Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for generating and managing a time-bound virtual payment card are disclosed. A primary account holder requests a virtual payment card linked to their account to share spending with a third party while maintaining the security of their account. In the request, the account holder specifies a recipient and conditions for use of the virtual payment card including recurring temporal parameters. A service managed by the card issuing financial institution receives the request and generates a virtual card configured to the parameters specified. Thereafter, the service sends the virtual card to the specified recipient. After activating the virtual payment card, the recipient attempts a purchase at a merchant. Upon checkout, the service receives a request from the merchant and based on the transaction information in the request, determines whether the transaction meets the conditions for use and approves or denies the transaction accordingly.
