Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a method and system for multi-modal image super-resolution. Conventional methods for multi-modal image super-resolution are performed using joint image based filtering, deep learning and dictionary based approaches which require large datasets for training. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a joint optimization based transform learning framework wherein a high-resolution (HR) image of target modality is reconstructed from a HR image of guidance modality and a low-resolution (LR) image of target modality. A set of parameters, transforms, coefficients and weight matrices are learnt jointly from a training data which includes a HR image of guidance modality, a LR image of target modality and a HR image of target modality. The learnt set of parameters are used for reconstructing a HR image of target modality. The disclosed joint optimization transform learning framework is used in remote sensing, environment monitoring and so on.

  • Publication number: 20230013039
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein include a mobile solution to enable users to perform financial transaction over a network using a mobile device. These techniques allow users to maintain a single personal account identifier or number (“PAN”) on the user's mobile device and to utilize it to access a plurality of linked financial accounts and sub-accounts. Any one of the accounts can be selected by a user on the mobile device to remotely deposit funds to that account based on an image of a financial payment instrument. The image can be obtained using image capture technology on the user's mobile device. Users can perform a financial transaction using the verified images over a network in order to conduct a remote financial transaction such as applying a deposit, a payment, or cash load to a designated account which is linked to the user's mobile account in real-time or near real-time.

  • Publication number: 20230019387
Abstract: Multi-dimensional spectra associated with a specimen are reconstructed using lower dimensional spectra as constraints. For example, a two-dimensional spectrum associated with diffusivity and spin-lattice relaxation time is obtained using one-dimensional spectra associated with diffusivity and spin-lattice relaxation time, respectively, as constraints. Data for a full two dimensional spectrum are not acquired, leading to significantly reduced data acquisition times.

  • Publication number: 20230016399
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed in which a user engaging in an online or in-person transaction with a merchant may create automatic expiring transactions for a credit card. The user provides the credit card information to an online interface or a point-of-sale device but specifies an expiration date that is on or before the actual expiration date of the credit card, known as an artificial expiration date. A token for the merchant is generated with the artificial expiration date. The issuing bank will honor the transaction with the artificial expiration date using the merchant-specific token, and the token may continue to be used with the online merchant until the artificial expiration date.

  • Publication number: 20230021052
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus, a system and a non-transitory computer readable medium that implement processing circuitry that receives non-dialog information from a smart device and determines a data type of data in the received non-dialog information. Based on the determined data type, the processing circuitry transforms the received first data using an input from a machine learning algorithm into transformed data. The transformed data is standardized data that is palatable for machine learning algorithms such as those used implemented as chatbots. The standardized transformed data is useful for training multiple different chatbot systems and enables the typically underutilized non-dialog information to be used to as training input to improve context and conversation flow between a chatbot and a user.

  • Publication number: 20230018671
Abstract: Unlike state of art eye blink detection techniques that are generalized for usage across individuals affecting accuracy of eye blink prediction from subject to subject, embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and system for personalized eye blink detection using passive camera-based approach. The method first generates a subject specific annotation data, which is then further processed to derive subject specific personalized blink threshold values. The method disclosed provides three unique approaches to compute the personalized blink threshold values which is one time calibration process. The personalized blink threshold values are then used to generate a binary decision vector (D) while analyzing input test images (video sequences) of the subject of interest. Further, values taken by elements of the decision vector (D) are analyzed for a predefined time period to predict possible eye blinks of the subject.

  • Patent number: 11558385
Abstract: Transaction authorization systems may include a transaction processor and an authorization server system. The transaction processor obtains transaction requests authorizations for those requests from the authorization server system. The transaction processor may require an authorization be provided within a threshold time; otherwise, the transaction may be processed without authorization. The authorization server system may be hosted using one or more nodes in a distributed system. Degradation of the performance of the distributed system may cause the performance of the authorization server system to fall below the required performance threshold and transactions may not be authorized before automatic processing. Transaction authorization systems may monitor the health of the individual nodes and/or the distributed system and automatically adjust the routing of authorizations based on current and/or future performance degradation.
