  • Patent number: 12183108
Abstract: A device receives a transaction request concerning a transaction and a transaction card from a transaction terminal, and determines, based on the transaction request, information concerning the transaction card. The device sends, based on the transaction request and to a user device, a query concerning possession of the transaction card by a user of the user device, where the query includes an instruction for the user to confirm possession of the transaction card via a component of the user device. The device receives, from the user device and after sending the query to the user device, a response concerning possession of the transaction card by the user, and determines, based on the response and the information concerning the transaction card, whether the user has possession of the transaction card. The device performs, based on determining whether the user has possession of the transaction card, at least one action.

  • Patent number: 12184814
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating metric(s) that predict survey score(s) for a service session. Model(s) may be trained, through supervised or unsupervised machine learning, using training data such as communications from previous service sessions between service representative(s) and individual(s), and survey scores provided by the serviced individual to rate the session on one or more criteria (e.g., survey questions). The model(s) may be trained to output, based on an input session record, metric(s) that each correspond to a survey score that would have been provided by the individual had they completed the survey. The model may be a concatenated model that combines a language model output from a language classifier recurrent neural network, and an acoustic model output from an acoustic feature layer convolutional neural network. Individuals can be clustered according to the metric(s) and/or other factors, and the cluster(s) can be employed for routing incoming service requests.

  • Patent number: 12182651
Abstract: A system and method for configuring Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) read and write power levels includes an RFID module that generates RF signals, a digital step attenuator that attenuates RF signals, an antenna that transmits attenuated RF signals, and an RF shield that isolates the antenna from an RFID label supply roll. A floor read power is determined by iteratively interrogating an RFID label while decreasing the RF signal power until the label fails to respond to the interrogation. A ceiling read power is determined by iteratively interrogating the RFID label while increasing the RF signal power until multiple labels respond to the interrogation. The read power level is set between the floor read power and the ceiling read power. The write power level is determined by iteratively attempting to program the RFID module while increasing the write power from the read power level until successfully written.

  • Patent number: 12183940
Abstract: A landing system suitable for receiving an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) comprises an autonomous ground vehicle (AGV). A landing surface is disposed on the AGV, and the landing system comprises a loading channel suitable for passing an object delivered by the UAV through a first loading channel opening in the landing surface. The object passes within the loading channel through to a second loading channel opening at a bottom aspect of the AGV. In this way, a UAV can land on the landing surface, and the AGV positions the object in line with a target delivery location, where the object is delivered. Aspects of the landing system comprise an electromagnet or vacuum chamber for securing the UAV to the landing surface, thereby enhancing stability of the UAV during movement of the landing system.

  • Patent number: 12181627
Abstract: The present disclosure describes gain stabilization techniques for scintillation devices which do not require use of an intrinsic reference radiation source. Reference light pulses are emitted into the scintillation device to obtain a signal having a given magnitude. The magnitude of the signal is compared to the magnitude of a reference signal computed as a function of temperature and a degradation factor. A gain adjustment is computed which causes the magnitude of the signal to match the target reference magnitude. The gain adjustment is then used to adjust the system gain so that subsequent output signal amplitudes, measured when energetic photons interact in the scintillator, always correspond to the same energy.
