Abstract: An access control device includes a primary access barrier configured move between a closed position and an open position. The primary access barrier may be configured to extend into an access passage of the access control device to prevent access through the access passage when in the closed position and to move away from the access passage to permit access through the access passage when in an open position. An entry access barrier is positionable in the access passage of the access control device on a first side of the primary access barrier, and an exit barrier is positionable in the access passage of the access control device on a second side of the primary access barrier opposite the first side. Systems and methods relate to access control devices.

Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to time-aware blockchain staged regulatory control of Internet of Things (“IoT”) data. A federation platform can receive a registration request from an enterprise edge platform to register a blockchain identifier for publication of public data on a public blockchain. The federation platform can determine if the registration request contains any restricted data parameters. In response to determining that the registration request does not contain any restricted data parameters, the federation platform can query a security module to obtain an encryption key. The federation platform can receive the encryption key from the security module. The federation platform can store the encryption key in association with the blockchain identifier and an enterprise edge platform ID that uniquely identifies the enterprise edge platform.

Abstract: Techniques provided herein employ a mesh network of wireless communication-enabled devices to monitor activity in a geographical area, such as a neighborhood or a parking lot. To this end, the mesh network monitoring system collects data about the devices found in the mesh network and establishes an expected activity level, which is used as a reference for comparing and classifying a current activity level. If the current activity level deviates significantly from the expected activity level, it may be classified as an unusual event. Upon detecting an unusual event, the mesh monitoring network may output a notification sent to the users of the devices in the mesh network. The mesh network monitoring system may help drivers determine availability of parking spots on a parking lot.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are embodiments of systems, methods, and products comprising an analytic server, which automatically detects malicious electronic files. The analytic server receives electronic files, runs a file extraction module to recursively scan the electronic files, and extracts all of the embedded and linked electronic files. The analytic server runs an exploit scanner against the extracted electronic files, and extracts code included in the electronic files. The analytic server deobfuscates the extracted code and examines the deobfuscated code by applying a set of malicious behavior rules against the deobfuscated rules. The analytic server identifies potentially malicious electronic files based on the examination. The analytic server applies a set of whitelist rules on the potentially malicious electronic files to eliminate false alarms. The analytic server transmits alert notifications to an analyst regarding the malicious electronic files and updates the whitelist rules based on analyst's feedback.

Abstract: A system and method of establishing a communication session is disclosed herein. A computing system receives, from a client device, a content item comprising text-based content. The computing system generates a mark-up version of the content item by identifying one or more characters in the text-based content and a relative location of the one or more characters in the content item. The computing system receives, from the client device, an interrogatory related to the content item. The computing system analyzes the mark-up version of the content item to identify an answer to the interrogatory. The computing system generates a response message comprising the identified answer to the interrogatory. The computing system transmits the response message to the client device.

Abstract: A rotary steerable system (RSS), the RSS including steering collar pockets, actuation cylinders positioned in the steering collar pockets, barrel-shaped pistons positioned in the actuation cylinders and pad actuators attached to the pistons. Each barrel-shaped piston includes a piston hanger; each pad actuator includes a pad housing mounted on the steering collar and a steering pad. Each steering pad is pivotably coupled to one of the pad housings via a first hinge pin and is directly connected via a second hinge pin to the piston hanger of at least one of the pistons. Each barrel-shaped piston is movable within its respective actuation cylinder such that, when extended out of the actuation cylinder, its respective steering pad pivots laterally from the steering collar on the first hinge pin to contact a side of a wellbore, urging the steering collar in a direction opposite the lateral direction.
