  • Patent number: 12184472
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to an automated remediation system that can receive service level objective (SLO) alerts or notifications and, based on the type, take automated remedial actions. The automated remediation system can perform automated responses to various SLO alerts such as latency alerts, error budget alerts, burn rate alerts, etc. The automated remediation system can utilize a mapping to select which automated response to perform; can measure the effectiveness of the automated response using a metric defined for the alert type; and, until the issue is resolved or no further actions are mapped to the alert type, can repeat the initial automated response or can take secondary automated responses. The automated remediation system can also report the alert and the remedial actions taken.

  • Patent number: 12181627
Abstract: The present disclosure describes gain stabilization techniques for scintillation devices which do not require use of an intrinsic reference radiation source. Reference light pulses are emitted into the scintillation device to obtain a signal having a given magnitude. The magnitude of the signal is compared to the magnitude of a reference signal computed as a function of temperature and a degradation factor. A gain adjustment is computed which causes the magnitude of the signal to match the target reference magnitude. The gain adjustment is then used to adjust the system gain so that subsequent output signal amplitudes, measured when energetic photons interact in the scintillator, always correspond to the same energy.

  • Patent number: 12183202
Abstract: A parking availability predictor system provides a prediction of parking availability that meets a user's specified needs. When the user submits a query for parking availability, he can include desired parking criteria such as location, handicapped status, and desired time to begin parking. The system consults a parking occupancy model which gathers current and historical information about parking occupancy, including parking durations and durations of vacancies between occupancies. The model processes the gathered information into a statistical predictor of parking occupancy and vacancy. The system uses the predictor to predict when parking that meets the user's needs will become available. That prediction, including user-suitable parking locations along with the expected start of their vacancies, is then sent to the user in answer to his query.
