Abstract: Augmented reality (AR) technology can be used to perform a real-time overlay on an image displayed on a user device. A user device can receive image data of an area comprising an item from the real-world. Based on the image data, an identity and a value of the item can be obtained by the user device. If the value of the item is greater than a pre-determined value for the item or a category of the item, then the user device can obscure in real-time on the displayed image the item or category of the item having the value that is greater than the pre-determined value.

Abstract: The method includes defining a plurality of fold lines that divide the blank into a plurality of sidewall panels, forming at least one platform panel on a bottom end of the plurality of sidewall panels, and forming at least one foot panel on a first side edge of the plurality of sidewall panels near the bottom end, the at least one foot panel being configured to at least partially support the at least one platform panel once the blank is folded into an assembled package.

Abstract: A seal includes an outer housing and a seal bag internal to the outer housing. The outer housing can be positioned between a pump and an electric motor of an electric submersible pump. The seal bag can include an outer layer and an inner layer. The outer layer can be made from a first material to retain a structure of the outer layer in a swellable state in a wellbore. The inner layer can be made from a second material that is swellable in the wellbore in response to contact with a polar substance to seal a tear in the outer layer.

Abstract: A system, method and apparatus for capturing data from a plurality of users for providing online gameplay based on captured user sensor data. User sensor data is captured from a plurality of sensor capture devices relative to an associated user so as to be transmitted to a gameplay server. The gameplay server executes instructions to generate a user interface on a user's client computing device for providing gameplay on each user client portable computing device utilizing, and pertinent to, the captured sensor data.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for improvements in cloud services by sharing estimated and actual usage data of cloud services recipients with the cloud services provider. The sharing of this data allows the cloud services provider to better apportion cloud resources between multiple cloud services recipients. By analyzing information included in the shared data (e.g., information about one or more applications that use the cloud resources), the cloud services provider may categorize the applications and/or the functions of those applications into authorized and unauthorized uses, the determination of which, is used to further efficiently apportion the cloud services resources.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods are provided, wherein a device is attachable to or integrated in a firearm and includes a plurality of sensors that are each configured to sense a respective attribute of the firearm or of an environment surrounding the firearm, and are further configured to provide corresponding signals based on sensing the respective attribute. The systems, devices, and methods may be configured to determine an event from among a plurality of events based on the corresponding signals provided by the plurality of sensors. Systems that include the device may record event data and transmit the event data to various user systems for situational awareness, record keeping, training, and other organizational or legal-process purposes.

Abstract: Techniques are described for managing transactions requested by a user, such management based on sensor data that is generated by sensor device(s) in proximity to the user. Biometric and/or other types of data may be generated using sensors that are included in a user device, worn by a user, and/or otherwise in proximity to the user. The data may be analyzed to determine a current physical, emotional, and/or intellectual state of the user, such as whether the user is intoxicated, exhausted, angry, depressed, under duress, experiencing dementia, and so forth. If a transaction is detected that conflicts with a previously specified constraint, such as a budget or spending rule of the user, and if the user is currently in an impaired state, action(s) may be taken to manage the transaction. Such action(s) may include blocking the transaction, delaying the transaction, and/or notifying another party to assist the user.

Abstract: Provided are approaches for customizing transaction cards using a pressure sensitive modification area. In some approaches, a transaction card may include a body having a first main side opposite a second main side, wherein a chip is coupled to the first main side of the body, wherein a first outer layer extends along the first main side, and wherein a second outer layer extends along the second main side. The transaction card may further include an internal layer between the first and second outer layers, and a plurality of microspheres and a pigmented substance positioned between the internal layer and the first outer layer.

Abstract: Session-based Recommendation (SR) is the task of recommending the next item based on previously recorded user interactions. However, most existing approaches for SR either rely on costly online interactions with real users (model-free approaches) or rely on potentially biased rule-based or data-driven user-behavior models (model-based approaches) for learning. This disclosure relates to a system and method for selecting session-based recommendation policies using historical recommendations and user feedback. Herein, the learning of recommendation policies given offline or batch data from old recommendation policies based on a Distributional Reinforcement Learning (DRL) based recommender system in the offline or batch-constrained setting without requiring access to a user-behavior model or real-interactions with the users.

Abstract: A budget management guidance system includes a portable device having processing circuitry and a storage device. The processing circuitry is configured to receive product imagery related to a product, determine a purchase price of the product based on the product imagery, access a budget goal for a user from the storage device, and instruct output of a notification on a graphical user interface of the portable device in response to determining that the purchase price of the product exceeds the budget goal for the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods for voice-enabled transactions are disclosed. A merchant system may generate a transaction request comprising a transaction amount and a merchant identifier. The merchant system may invoke an audio signal generator to generate an audio transaction signal comprising the transaction request data. A voice assistant may play the audio transaction signal. The user initiating the transaction may use a mobile device to detect and ingest the audio transaction signal. In response to detecting and ingesting the audio transaction signal, the mobile device may interact with a payment network to authorize, process, and complete the transaction request. The payment network may transmit a transaction approval to the merchant system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for multiple channel authentication are described. In one embodiment, a request for an interaction is initiated from within a mobile application. The request may include authentication information and contextual information relating to a current exchange between the mobile application and an organization. The user may be authenticated with the authentication information and the request may be routed to a representative based on the contextual information to continue the exchange.

Abstract: Systems and methods for delivering items are disclosed. The systems and methods comprise assigning a unique internal control value to each profile having an identified physical address delivery point. They also receive a request for delivery point information for each of a plurality of items to be distributed and providing a response comprising a list of internal control values thereto. They further receive a plurality of items, each item having printed thereon one of the internal control values on the list. For each of the plurality of items, they scan, by item processing equipment, the item to read the internal control value printed thereon, identifying, in the profile database, the physical address delivery point corresponding to the assigned internal control value, routing, by the item processing equipment, the item according to the identified physical address delivery point, and delivering the item to the identified physical address delivery point.

Abstract: A track rail fastening system includes a direct fixation fastener assembly having a direct fixation fastener, and a laterally elongated support block. Fastener holes for receiving fastener-clamping fasteners, and fastener holes for receiving bracket-clamping fasteners, are formed in the support block. The respective sets of fastener holes are arranged in different anchor patterns. Fastener-clamping fasteners are received in one of the sets of fastener holes and claim direct fixation fastener to the support block. Bracket-clamping fasteners clamp a third-rail support bracket to the support block, and are received in one of the sets of fastener holes. Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for authentication of smart card usage. A server may receive, from a first computing device associated with a first user, a delegation request to delegate an authority, to a second user, to use a secondary card associated with an account belonging to the first user. The first user may hold a primary card associated with the account and the delegation request comprises one or more limitations on the authority. The server may also receive, via a sensor on the secondary card, first biometric information associated with the second user. The server may authenticate subsequent transaction requests based on the first biometric information and one or more limitations. In this way, the system may provide account holders with the flexibility to authorize other users to use the account while minimizing the risk of being exposed to fraudulent requests.
