Abstract: An invoice or other document is automatically classified, for example to identify a vendor or other entity associated with the document, based on geometric characteristics of the document. Geometric information extracted from incoming images of documents is used to reconstruct a unique template, thereby providing a mechanism for automatically classifying newly received documents, for example to determine which vendor is their source. The template for a target document is expressed as a feature vector, which can then be compared with feature vectors previously generated for reference documents, to provide a basis for determining similarity between the target document and various reference documents.

Abstract: Described herein is a system for automatically capturing images. A device may execute an application on the device. In response to receiving a request for capturing an image of a document, the application may control the operation of the camera to contemporaneously and continuously capture image frames of an area within the field of view of a camera of the device. The field of view may include an object and in turn may be included in the captured image frames. The application may determine whether the aspect ratio and real-world size of the object in the captured image frames corresponds with a specified threshold size and aspect ratio which corresponds with a given document type. In response to determining the object corresponds to the given document type, the camera may automatically extract an image of the object.

Abstract: The present invention provides for novel methods for regulating and detecting the cytosine methylation status of DNA. The invention is based upon identification of a novel and surprising catalytic activity for the family of TET proteins, namely TET1, TET2, TEM3, and CXXC4. The novel activity is related to the enzymes being capable of converting the cytosine nucleotide 5-methylcytosine into 5-hydroxymethylcytosine by hydroxylation.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a liquid salt activator comprising a salt, a suspending aid, and water, wherein the salt is present in the liquid salt activator in an amount of from about 5 wt. % to about 95 wt. %, based on the total weight of the liquid salt activator. Also disclosed herein is an activated extended life slurry (ELS) composition comprising a hydraulic cement, a supplementary cementitious material, the liquid salt activator, and an aqueous fluid. The activated ELS composition can be used in a method of servicing a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation.

The curved wellbore path can promote fracture interference between fracture stresses extending from the injection wellbore. A production model can determine an economic value of the production fluids produced from at least one production well by determining a contact time for the injection fluids to traverse the formation. A design process can iterate the curved wellbore path of the injection well to produce a production fluid with an economic value above a threshold value.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating augmented reality environments from 2D drawings are provided. The system performs a camera calibration process to determine how a camera transforms images from the real world into a 2D image plane. The system calculates a camera pose and determines an object position and an object orientation relative to a known coordinate system. The system detects and processes a 2D drawing/illustration and generates a 3D model from the 2D drawing/illustration. The system performs a rendering process, wherein the system generates an augmented reality environment which includes the 3D model superimposed on an image of the 2D drawing/illustration. The system can generate the augmented reality environment in real time, allowing the system to provide immediate feedback to the user. The images processed by the system can be from a video, from multiple image photography, etc.
