    Abstract: A data stream monitor including a processor and associated memory initiates a data stream monitoring application. The data stream monitoring application is configured to test a plurality of data streams, and obtains a plurality of data stream records associated with the plurality of data streams to be tested. The data stream monitor writes a lastRecord indicator to a file. The lastRecord indicator identifies a last data stream to have been tested. The data streams are tested, and the lastRecord indicator is updated each time a subsequent data stream is tested. The data stream monitor determines whether a value of the lastRecord indicator has changed from a previous value. In response to determining that the value of the lastRecord indicator has not changed, testing of the plurality of data streams is restarted.

    Abstract: The disclosure generally relates to methods and systems for ensuring the on-time delivery (OTD) of a product by a manufacturing company. According to the present disclosure, a part persona for each part is generated using a data model, by placing the part as an central entity and the one or more influencing factors of each part that affect the OTD of the product are captured in the part persona. A trained intent and OTD prediction model is built and used to predict an initial intent and an initial OTD for each part, based on the corresponding part persona. Further, the trained intent and OTD prediction model is used to predict a successive intent and a successive OTD for each part, based on the conversations and the events. Hence the OTD of the product is accurately predicted and which is useful to ensuring the OTD of the product.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for detecting presence of a target nucleic acid (such as an influenza virus nucleic acid) in a sample. In some embodiments, the methods include contacting the sample with a first probe capable of hybridizing to the target nucleic acid and a second probe capable of hybridizing to the target nucleic acid, contacting the resulting complex with one or more gap filling reagents, thereby producing a gap-filled target nucleic acid, isolating and amplifying the gap-filled target nucleic acid. The amplified gap-filled target nucleic acid covalently linked to the substrate is then detected, for example with a detectably labeled probe. Also disclosed herein are probes capable of hybridizing to influenza virus nucleic acids. The disclosure also includes kits for detecting and/or discriminating influenza virus nucleic acids in a sample. In some examples, the kits include two or more of the disclosed probes.

    Abstract: The fine-grained variations in product images are usually due to slight variations in text, size, and color of the package. Both marginal variations in image content and illumination poses an important challenge in product classification. This disclosure relates to a system and method for fine-grained classification of similar-looking products utilizing object-level and part-level information. The system simultaneously captures an object-level and part-level information of the product. The object-level classification score of the product is estimated with the trained RC-Net, a deep supervised convolutional autoencoder. For annotation-free modelling of part-level information of the product the discriminative part-proposal of the product is identified around the BRISK key points. An ordered sequence of the discriminative part-proposals and the product image, encoded using stacked convolutional LSTM network, estimates the part-level classification score.

    Abstract: Electrical utilities offer incentives to customers to reduce consumption during periods of demand-supply mismatch. A building's participation in demand response (DR) depends both on its ability (due to building constraints), and its willingness (a function of incentive) to reduce electricity. Customers prefer a large incentive whereas a utility would want to minimize the revenue outflow to achieve a target reduction. Systems and methods of the present disclosure identify optimal incentive from the utility's perspective reflecting this trade-off. A model is built to estimate the demand response potential (DRP) of a building for a given incentive offered by the utility. The models for individual buildings are used to characterize the behavior of an ensemble of buildings. The utility may then decide optimum incentives that should be offered to achieve a target DR, using the associated DRP.
