Abstract: In certain embodiments, a vehicle may obtain a video stream via a camera system of the vehicle. The video stream may be processed to extract one or more feature vectors from the video stream. Based on the feature vectors extracted from the video stream, vehicle description information related to one or more parked vehicles in the parking area may be determined. Space information indicating locations of the parked vehicles relative to available parking spaces in the parking area may also be determined based on the feature vectors extracted from the video stream. A mapping of the parking area may then be generated based on the vehicle description information and the space information.

Abstract: A method for diagnosing and repairing a first computing device that is not able to be booted due to a malfunction of the first computing device is provided. The method comprises providing a boot tool stored on a removable computer readable storage medium; allowing the first computing device to be booted using the boot tool; providing for communication between the first computing device and a remote help desk computing device over a network; remotely identifying the malfunction of the first computing device; and pushing at least one repair data file from the remote help desk computing device to the first computing device or downloading the at least one repair data file from the Internet using the first computing device, wherein the at least one repair data file is configured for repairing the first computing device so that the first computing device is bootable without use of the boot tool.

Abstract: Computer vision systems and methods for vehicle damage detection are provided. An embodiment of the system generates a dataset and trains a neural network with a plurality of images of the dataset to learn to detect an attribute of a vehicle present in an image of the dataset and to classify at least one feature of the detected attribute. The system can detect the attribute of the vehicle and classify the at least one feature of the detected attribute by the trained neural network. In addition, an embodiment of the system utilizes a neural network to reconstruct a vehicle from one or more digital images.

Abstract: A magnetic depth of cut controller (DOCC) includes a housing having a body portion with a bore extending into the body portion and a depth of cut (DOC) element positioned at least partially within the bore and having a working face to engage a subterranean formation. The DOC element is moveable within the bore to extend or retract from a first end of the housing. Further, the DOCC includes a magnet secured within the bore of the housing between the DOC element and a second end of the housing. Moreover, the DOCC includes a magnetic fluid disposed within the bore of the housing between the DOC element and the second end of the housing. The magnetic fluid has a viscosity that changes responsive to proximity to the magnet to provide a variable resistance to movement of the DOC element.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are provided for enabling mobile device-based item acquisition and tracking. One exemplary method performed on a mobile device comprises entering a wireless scan mode, detecting a signal from a tag associated with an item in a first area and in proximity to the tag, presenting information associated with the tag, and adding the information to a list. The method further comprises detecting a second tag in a second area, and sending the list to a second device. A second exemplary method performed by a processing terminal comprises receiving the list from a mobile device, entering a wireless scan mode, detecting a signal from a tag associated with an item in proximity to the tag, determining whether the item associated with the detected tag is present on the received list, and enabling the mobile device to complete a transaction to purchase the item.

Abstract: Embodiments include systems and techniques to perform secure transactions including processing registration information for each computing device of a plurality of computing devices having authority over a financial account. In one example, embodiments include receiving a pending transaction against the financial account from a computing device. Embodiments include executing an authentication protocol to determine the computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information, and processing data identifying another computing device within a configurable distance from the computing device. Embodiments further include the system to execute the authentication protocol to determine the other computing device is a member of the plurality of computing devices based upon the registration information and bypass a portion of a security procedure for authorizing execution of the pending transaction.

The transaction card has vector-formatted visible information applied by a laser machining system. In some embodiments, systems and methods are disclosed for enabling the sourcing of visible information using a scalable vector format The systems and methods may receive a request to add visible information to a transaction card and capture an image of the visible information. The systems and methods may capture data representing the image. The systems and methods may also determine an ambient color saturation of the image. Further, systems and methods may translate the image based on the ambient color saturation of the image. The systems and methods may also map the translated image to a bounding box and convert the mapped image into vector format. In addition, the systems and methods may provide the converted image to a laser machining system.

Abstract: A method and system to utilize a user's activities pattern on a user equipment (UE) device as an additional authentication parameter are disclosed. The method includes monitoring, at the UE device, activities of the UE device, and generating, at the UE device, at least one pattern based on analysis of the monitored activities of the UE device. The method further includes receiving, at the UE device, a request to access a protected application. The method includes comparing, at the UE device, an activity of the UE device with an activity determined from the at least one pattern and a corresponding time data associated with the request to access the protected application. The method further includes determining, at the UE device, a level of authentication necessary to grant access to the protected application based on the comparing.

The audio data may include human speech from a user associated with the user device. The method may further include: performing a speech-to-text process on the audio data to determine text; segmenting the text into discrete conceptual units; identifying keywords that correspond words in the text; associating keywords with the conceptual units having the corresponding words; performing a first analysis process on the conceptual units to determine a first score; performing a second analysis process portions of the human speech correlated with the conceptual units to determine a second score; determining a keyword score for each keyword based on the first and second scores of the conceptual units; determining a product recommendation based on the keywords associated with conceptual units and the corresponding keyword scores; and causing the user device to output the recommendation.

Preferably, the composition is present at between 0.25 to 4.0 ml in a topical composition per 1 litre of water or other diluting agent. The topical composition may be suitable for use as a plant foliar spray. The topical composition may also be suitable for dispensing via an irrigation system. The topical composition can also be suitable for application as a seed coating.

Some described techniques improve the schedule using optimization upon a user's travel booking operation and/or in response to changes in the user's relationships. The techniques include an apparatus, a method, and a computer-readable medium configured to process relationship data associated with potential candidates for a set of meetings in a schedule, relationship data corresponding to interaction indicia with each potential candidate, generate, from the relationship data, a connectivity network comprising links with the potential candidates, each link of the links corresponding to a relevance value between a user and a specific potential candidate, and populate, via an optimization unit, open meeting spaces in the schedule with meeting data based upon the connectivity network and availability data of the potential candidates, the schedule being configured to substantially maximize relevancy of the set of meetings.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to provide a semi-local authentication scheme. A server can transmit one or more encryption mechanisms to a user device, which in turn can transmit the encrypted mechanisms to one or more secondary devices associated with the user device, where the user device and the secondary devices share a local connection. The secondary devices can transmit the one or more encrypted mechanism utilizing one or more one or more decryption mechanisms supplied by the server, and then transmit the result of the decryption, e.g. decrypted codes, back to the user device, which in turn can then transmit a final decrypted code or codes to the server. Upon confirming receipt of the decryption from the user device, the server can authorize access (via the user device) to one or more devices, networks, applications, and/or components.
