Abstract: Disclosed are devices, systems and methods for managing parking monitoring and enforcement. In one aspect, a method of determining whether a vehicle is present in a parking space includes monitoring the parking space with a first vehicle detection technique utilizing image processing and monitoring the parking space with a second vehicle detection technique that does not utilize image processing. The parking space can be monitored with a third vehicle detection technique that is different than the first and second vehicle detection techniques. A conclusion that a vehicle has entered or left the parking space can be determined upon a agreement of the multiple techniques employed.

Abstract: A video surveillance method and system involves transitioning pixel intensities in a region associated with a fixed location from background values to values representing an image of an object when the object is abandoned at a fixed location in a scene in a video, and identifying an instance of time in the video when the object is abandoned, based on the transitioned pixel intensities resulting from the transitioning of the pixel intensities.

A set of artifacts are identified that each have a permission attribute indicating that the respective artifact is accessible to the entity when the respective artifact is responsive, above a threshold responsiveness value, to the search query issued by the entity.

Abstract: A device receives a communication associated with a support issue encountered by a user, and receives information identifying one or more self-support actions performed by the user in relation to the support issue. The device assigns the communication to a position in a support queue. The support queue includes information identifying positions of other communications received from other users, when the other communications are received, and self-support actions performed by the other users. The device associates the information identifying the one or more self-support actions with information identifying the position of the communication, and applies respective weights to the one or more self-support actions. The device generates a score for the communication based on applying the respective weights, and modifies the position of the communication based on the score. The device performs one or more actions based on modifying the position of the communication.

Abstract: Methods and compositions for treating subterranean formations to mitigate lost circulation are provided. The methods of the present disclosure include forming a treatment fluid including one or more geopolymer lost circulation materials; introducing the treatment fluid into at least a portion of a subterranean formation that includes at least one loss zone; activating the geopolymer lost circulation materials to form a geopolymer that imparts a thixotropic property to the treatment fluid; and allowing the treatment fluid exhibiting the thixotropic property to at least partially reduce a rate of loss associated with the loss zone.

Abstract: A first flow distribution to one or more entry points into a subsurface formation may be monitored. Stimulation criteria may be identified based on the first flow distribution. At least one characteristic associated with a first treatment fluid to be injected into a wellbore associated with the subsurface formation may be determined based on the first flow distribution, where the at least one characteristic is based on the stimulation criteria. The subsurface formation may be stimulated with the first treatment fluid and a second flow distribution monitored based on the stimulation. A determination is made whether the second flow distribution meets the stimulation criteria. The subsurface formation may be stimulated with a second treatment fluid based on the determination that the second flow distribution does not meet the stimulation criteria.

Abstract: A permeable mat provides a two-state mat; one in which the mat has an impervious layer when laid flat during use, so water gets captured by an upper fabric layer. And a second state in which the mat becomes permeable when it is rolled and tumbled in the washer and drier, to allow the through-flow of air and water to effectively clean and dry the mat. A pattern of permeable elements may be included as part of the rubber backing to improve washing and drying by allowing easier passage through the mat by water and washing chemicals, allowing water drainage through the rubber layer during spinning cycle, reducing the need for very high spinning forces and speeds, allowing for air flow through the mat layers, improving drying time and efficiencies and lowering the structure of the mat unit, thereby allowing for better unrolling and tumbling during washing cycles.

Abstract: A method of providing sentiment analysis includes training a computer system to identify a polarity of a sentiment for a plurality of phrases and receiving, at the computer system, an input from a website. The input includes a text string including a phrase. The method includes determining, by the computer system, the polarity of the sentiment of the phrase by comparing the phrase to the plurality of phrases and sending, by the computer system, a command to the website that causes the website to display predetermined content based on the determined polarity of the sentiment of the phrase.

Abstract: In certain embodiments, placement of objects within an interior space of a vehicle may be simulated. In some embodiments, one or more images of an interior space of a vehicle may be obtained. User input may be obtained, the user input indicating objects to be placed within the interior space. Based on the images of the interior space and the user input indicating objects to place within the interior space, an arrangement may be determined for the objects within the interior space. In some embodiments, the arrangement may be based upon measurements and other characteristics of the objects and the interior space. In some embodiments, a presentation simulating placement of the objects within the interior space may be simulated. In some embodiments, the presentation may comprise steps indicating an order in which to place the objects within the interior space.

Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to proximity routing policy enforcement for trans-border Internet of Things (“IoT”) data governance compliance. A network gateway can receive, from a data source device, a device registration message comprising a device registration header. The network gateway can determine, based upon the device registration header and a data governance policy, whether the data source device is permitted to access a data governance zone. In response to determining that the data source device is permitted to access the data governance zone, the network gateway can determine, based upon a further data governance policy, at least one gateway of a plurality of gateways operating in the data governance zone to which the device registration message is to be forwarded. The network gateway can forward the registration message to the at least one gateway so that the at least one gateway is enabled for device operation.

The method may comprise disposing a downhole fluid sampling tool into a wellbore at a first location, activating a pump to draw a solids-containing fluid disposed in the wellbore into the downhole fluid sampling tool, drawing the drilling fluid with the pump across the at least one filter to form a drilling fluid filtrate, drawing the drilling fluid filtrate with the pump through the channel to the at least one sensor section, and measuring the drilling fluid filtrate with the at least one sensor. A system may comprise a downhole fluid sampling tool. The downhole fluid sampling tool may comprise at least one multi-chamber section, at least one sensor section, at least one filter, a pump, and a channel.

Abstract: Systems as described herein may include making recommendations for patterned purchases. Transaction information for a user that is associated with a plurality of merchants in a geographic location may be received. Frequencies of visits and transaction patterns associated with the plurality of merchants may be determined. Risk factors and a success rate that the user to complete shopping successfully may be determined. In a variety of embodiments, after detecting that the success rate falls below a threshold value, a recommendation for the user to shop at an alternative merchant and alternative time/date may be presented to the user.

Abstract: A system for detecting a recurring transaction in a history of financial transactions is disclosed. The system receives financial transaction data between a user and a merchant, and organizes the data into a matrix for analysis. The rows of the matrix are time periods, each having a plurality of time units, and the transactions are located in the matrix on the dates on which they occurred. Multiple subroutines are then performed on the transaction matrix. The subroutines include determining nearest transactions to a given column, calculating a distance from the nearest transactions to the column, and comparing the values of the nearest transactions, among others. Based on the results of the various subroutines, a score is calculated that defines a relative likelihood that the given column of the matrix includes a recurring transaction.
