Abstract: A composition includes: a continuous liquid phase including an acrylic monomer and an epoxy monomer; and a dispersed nanoparticulate including ZrO2 modified with an acrylic silane; and wherein the composition is transparent to visible light when coated on a lens. In addition, a method including the steps of: mixing an acrylic silane and a methanol-based ZrO2 sol to create a methanol-based silane-modified ZrO2 sol; then mixing at least an acrylic monomer, an epoxy monomer, and the methanol-based silane-modified ZrO2 sol to obtain the composition. The composition can be adapted for coating and curing onto another substrate, such as an ophthalmic lens.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a method for producing a colloidal suspension of zirconia particles, including successively subjecting a mixture of zirconium oxychloride and an alkali metal halide in an aqueous solvent to hydrothermal treatment at a temperature above 150° C, separating the slurry obtained from the supernatant, and peptizing said slurry by adding a strong acid thereto, and desalting said slurry, for example by ultrafiltration, so as to form a colloidal suspension of zirconia. The present invention also pertains to the transparent colloidal suspension obtainable by this method, and to an optical article, such as an ophthalmic lens, comprising a transparent polymer substrate and at least one coating prepared from a composition comprising said colloidal suspension.

Abstract: A drug composition for treating chronic liver diseases, consists of: Astragalus Astragalosides and Glycyrrhiza Acid by weight ratio of 3˜6:1. By testing and validating with classic animal model, the results confirmed that the drug composition of the present invention can significantly reduce the collagen content of rat liver, and reduce liver fibrosis and liver injury, wherein the effect is better than the effect of each component alone. The drug composition of the two components or ingredients can improve the anti-hepatic fibrosis, effectively prevent liver fibrosis and promote the development of liver fibrosis reversal, and thus can be used for the treatment and prevention of various chronic hepatitis, liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and other illnesses.

Abstract: A dumbbell having adjustable inertial resistance load in the field of athletic sports devices is disclosed. The structure of the present invention is characterized in that the hand grip of the dumbbell is provided inside with a rotatable main shaft, the two swing hammer rods and the swing hammers at both ends of the main shaft constitute a normal pendulum, and the two pendulums at both ends of the main shaft are connected through the main shaft, so as to be functionally combined into the function of one eccentric pendulum. The main shaft, the two swing hammer shafts and the swing hammers constitute an eccentric pendulum. The two pendulums fixed at both ends of the main shaft may be adjusted at different angles. In case the angle between the two pendulums is zero degree, upon the rotation of the pendulums, the forces between the hand grip and the hand, besides the mutual force in the up-and-down direction, also include the periodic inertial force in the fore-and-aft direction.
