A personalizing terminal 160 receives attribute information and health data from common devices 110 to 130 as the health data measuring devices shared by the plurality of persons, gives a user ID to the health data at a user ID allocator 163 and transmits the health data and the aforementioned attribute information to a gateway 170. Abstract: A nitride semiconductor light-emitting device wherein a substrate or nitride semiconductor layer has a defect concentration region and a low defect density region other than the defect concentration region. A portion including the defect concentration region of the nitride semiconductor layer or substrate has a trench region deeper than the low defect density region. Thus by digging the trench in the defect concentration region, the growth detection is uniformized, and the surface planarity is improved. The uniformity of the characteristic in the wafer surface leads to improvement of the yield.

Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit that can be tested in a reduced test time includes a high-frequency receiving circuit for receiving a high-frequency signal, and a demodulation circuit for demodulating a signal received from the high-frequency receiving circuit. The demodulation circuit includes a Static Random Access Memory (SRAM), an SRAM control circuit, and a test data transmitting circuit. The SRAM control circuit receives, from a semiconductor test device, test data for driving and testing the high-frequency receiving circuit, and writes the test data into the SRAM. The test data transmitting circuit reads out from the SRAM test data for driving and testing the high-frequency receiving circuit, and transmits the test data to the high-frequency receiving circuit.

Abstract: Image processing is carried out by transforming image data to image data having spatial frequency components, by judging whether the absolute values of the coefficients of the predetermined frequency components of the transformed image data are equal to or more than a predetermined value, by modifying the coefficients of the AC components of the image data depending on the result of the judgment, by inversely transforming the image data having the modified coefficients to image data having spatial coordinate components, by comparing the gray levels of the inversely transformed image data with predetermined values, and by transforming the gray levels to quantized levels corresponding to the result of the comparison. By carrying out proper image processing corresponding to the characteristics of the image, the number of gray levels of the image can be decreased while the characteristic portions of the original image are maintained properly.

Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid crystal display used in a television receiver or a display section of an electronic apparatus and provides a liquid crystal display having a wide viewing angle and high viewing angle characteristics. The viewing angle characteristics of low gradations are improved by the capacitive coupling HT method. The viewing angle characteristics of high gradations above the intermediate gradation are improved by the driving HT method. A liquid crystal is driven using the capacitive coupling HT method and the driving HT method in combination to combine the effect of improvement of both methods, thereby improving the viewing angle characteristics of a liquid crystal display for a wide range from a low gradation to a high gradation.

Abstract: A kneaded material obtained by heating and melt-kneading a toner composition and a water-based medium containing water are put into a container of a granulating apparatus, and heated by a heater while agitating, to disperse the kneaded material into the water-based medium in its softened state. A temperature at which a loss tangent value of the kneaded material reaches a predetermined loss tangent value A, specifically, 0.5 or more and less than 5.0, is inputted to a granulating temperature input section as a setting granulating temperature T1. The heater is then controlled by a control section so that a granulating temperature as a temperature of the water-based medium measured by a thermometer reaches the setting granulating temperature T1 inputted to the input section. Accordingly, the granulating temperature as a temperature of the water-based medium, and thus a temperature of the kneaded material in the water-based medium is adjusted to T1.
