Abstract: A terminal uses different access methods between when the terminal transmits a signal to a pico base station and when the terminal uses a macro base station as a receiving station without increasing the amount of control information to be transmitted from the base station to the terminal. A terminal apparatus of the present invention communicates with a macro base station that forms a first cell or a pico base station that forms a second cell smaller than the first cell. Upon reception of an instruction to communicate with the pico base station from the macro base station (S5), the terminal apparatus communicates with the pico base station using a second access method different from the access method used in the communication with the macro base station (S10).

Abstract: By providing a configuration which effectively limits the band of sound emitted from speakers without having to configure a network circuit, this speaker system achieves acoustic features of high sound quality without relying on listening points. This speaker system has two speakers for each channel that emit sound in different bands, and has a shielding object which, when the sound emission direction along the speaker axis of each speaker is set to forwards, is in front of a mid-range speaker which emits sound in a relatively low band.

  • Publication number: 20150263211
Abstract: A light receiving sensor (1) includes: a photodiode (PD) which generates a photocurrent (Ipd) upon receipt of light; a transistor (Tr11) through which the photocurrent (Ipd) flows; a transistor (Tr12) which forms, together with the transistor (Tr11), a first current mirror circuit (CM1); a transistor (Tr9) whose channel type is different from that of the transistor (Tr11), and a resistor (R10) which converts, to a voltage, a current flowing through the transistors (Tr11 and Tr12). The first current mirror circuit (CM1) amplifies the photocurrent (Ipd), the transistor (Tr11) has a source connected with a gate of a MOS transistor (Tr9), and the MOS transistor (Tr9) has a threshold voltage that is set to be equal to or above a threshold voltage of the transistor (Tr11). This decreases a capacity of the photodiode (PD) and therefore allows the light receiving sensor (1) to operate at a high speed while the photodiode (PD) is biased.

  • Publication number: 20150261374
Abstract: Provided is a technology in which even if input is performed in a state where a hand supporting a pen or the like is placed upon a touch panel, erroneous input from the hand can be prevented. A touch panel control unit acquires from a control unit, image data in which a user who will perform input in a detection area of a touch panel was imaged. The touch panel control unit analyzes the image data, identifies an instruction input unit and a hand of a user supporting the input instruction unit, and identifies a reference input location in the detection area. On the basis of a positional relationship of the instruction input unit and the hand of the user, a predicted input area within the detection area, in which input by the input instruction unit may occur, is then set. On the basis of a detection result obtained from the touch panel, the touch panel control unit identifies and outputs an input location in the predicted input area.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) is described. The UE decodes an uplink/downlink (UL/DL) reconfiguration downlink control information (DCI) with an enhanced interference mitigation with traffic adaptation (eIMTA)-radio network temporary identifier (RNTI) on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH). The UE also determines if one or more valid UL/DL configurations in the UL/DL reconfiguration DCI with eIMTA-RNTI for all configured eIMTA cells are received. The UE further determines if physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format 3 is configured. The UE additionally determines a PUCCH resource for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement/negative acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) reporting based on whether valid UL/DL configurations in the UL/DL reconfiguration DCI with eIMTA-RNTI for all of the configured eIMTA cells corresponding to a subframe for the PUCCH resource are received.

Abstract: A low overhead voice activity detection technique for a noise-canceling bioacoustic sensor consumes, as inputs, signals generated by a body microphone and an environment microphone and produces, as an output based on these inputs, an indication of whether voice activity is present. The technique applies a novel dual ANC configuration that produces, in addition to the normal noise reduction function, a signal composed of environmental sounds with body sounds attenuated and a signal composed of body sounds projected into the acoustic environment, primarily speech sounds. The technique then applies to these derived signals an algorithm based on the scientific observation that speech intensity, within limits, rises and falls to match environmental sound intensity to provide voice activity detection.

Abstract: A method is provided for an electronics device user interface (UI) to create a rules-validated service request. Initially, a UI device presents a plurality of selections, and accepts a selection command from a user. A UI application sends the selection command to a rules engine. The rules engine compares the selection command to a rules collection cross-referencing selection commands to allowable selection commands, wherein a rule is defined as a relationship between service parameters. In response to the rules engine validating the selection commands, the UI application sends a service request including the selection commands to a service device, and the service device performs a service defined in the service request. In response to the rules engine invalidating the selection command, the UI device may present an explanation of a rule violation associated with the invalid selection command. An associated system is also provided.
