The trephine includes a hole saw sized to accommodate an implant, the hole saw having: a cylindrical body having a proximal end, a distal end and an outer surface, a plurality of circumferentially spaced cutting teeth at the distal end of the cylindrical body, and a plurality of helical grooves on the outer surface of the cylindrical body; and a quick connect coupled to the proximal end of the cylindrical body for releasably connecting to a cooperating quick connector of a tool.

Abstract: A surgical hammer that includes a handle, a shaft extending from the handle and a hammer head connected to the shaft. The hammer head includes a slot extending through the hammer head and in fluid communication with a distal end of the hammer head, a first internal cavity within the hammer head spaced laterally from the slot, and a second internal cavity within the hammer head spaced laterally from the slot.

Abstract: An acetabular cup extractor is provided that is designed for extracting medical device implants. The acetabular cup extractor includes a fastener for securing to an implant and a cutting assembly. The cutting assembly further includes a blade spaced and movably connected to the fastener and a handle operatively connected to the blade.

Abstract: An implant extractor including a shaft body and a telescoping push rod extending from the shaft body. An adjustor is engaged with the telescoping push rod for adjusting a length of the telescoping push rod. A support arm extends laterally away from the shaft body and a jaw assembly extends from the support arm. The jaw assembly includes a jaw moveable between a locking position and an unlocking position, and a rocker arm operatively engaged with the telescoping push rod and the jaw. The implant extractor provides a line of force spaced from and substantially parallel to an implant to be extracted. As a consequence, there is substantial clearance for an extension handle such as a C-frame or the like which is oftentimes needed to dislodge the implant from surrounding bone. In addition, the implant extractor is capable of gripping a wide range of sizes of hip stem implant trunnions.

Abstract: An implant extractor that includes an elongated body having a proximal end for attachment to an extraction device, a first arm extending from the elongated body, and a second arm pivotably connected to the first arm. The second arm includes a moment arm for generating a torque about a distal end of the second arm. The implant extractor further includes a force applicator operatively connected to the first arm and the moment arm to apply a force to one or more of the first and second arms.

The chuck assembly includes a mounting base structured to couple to a tool; a housing coupled to the mounting base; and a cam sleeve within the housing and movable with respect to the housing between a locked position and an unlocked position, the cam sleeve having an annular base, an arm extending from the annular base, and a cam extending laterally from the arm.

Abstract: A power adapter includes an adapter shaft having a first end for coupling to a rotary tool and a second end configured to be coupled to a working tool. Additionally, the second end includes a slot. The power adapter also includes a locking mechanism operatively coupled to the second end of the adapter shaft. The locking mechanism includes a dowel pin movable between a first position and a second position within the slot.
