Abstract: A system, process, and method for modeling a building automation system is provided that permits a control program to easily and efficiently add field devices, gather data from, and provide data to field devices, iterate though all field devices in a hierarchical structure, poll the field devices, evaluate the results, and react accordingly.

Abstract: In a method for processing a generated digital endoscopy image of a patient, those pixels that depict a body region of a patient are determined as image points in the endoscopy image, in a processor. In the processor, a color value is derived for image point using the value of the associated pixel, and an area portion associated with each image point is derived for the color value. A color area is derived for each color value, as the sum of all area portions of the image points having that color value. An evaluation measure of the endoscopy image is then implemented in the processor using the respective color areas.

Abstract: A crash-resistant front apron for a rail vehicle is provided. In the event of a crash of the rail vehicle, in which a collision force acts on the front apron cover causing a torsion of the first support part relative to the second support part, the friction coupling release mechanism releases the friction connection.
Abstract: A medical clamp, in particular a spinal clamp, includes two clamp limbs connected to a grip part. The grip part executes a clamping movement of the clamp limbs and the clamp limbs are connected to the grip part in a releasable manner. The clamp permits particularly safe, minimally invasive percutaneous interventions, especially in the area of the spinal column. A device for using a medical clamp for providing a reference position for a positioning system for percutaneous interventions and a method for determining a reference position for a positioning system for percutaneous interventions, are also provided.

Abstract: An electrical transformer with unidirectional flux compensation is provided. The transformer includes a soft magnetic core on which a primary winding arrangement, a secondary winding arrangement, and a compensation winding arrangement are arranged. The compensation winding arrangement is connected to a current control device which feeds a compensation current into the compensation winding arrangement using a control signal. A magnetic field measuring device measures the magnetic field in the core of the transformer or the stray magnetic field that closes outside the core via an air path and provides the control signal.

Abstract: A control parameter is determined for a system for irradiating a predetermined target volume in a body with a particle beam. The system is constructed to direct the particle beam at a multiplicity of target points in the target volume in succession in order to produce at, each of the target points a predetermined dose distribution in a region around the target point. The control parameter controls the extent of an overlap of the dose distribution of a first target point with the dose distributions of neighboring target points. For determination of the control parameter, there is first determined a movement parameter which quantitatively characterizes the movement of the body at the first target point. The control parameter is determined in dependence on the movement parameter.

Abstract: An actuating device for an on/off valve having a pneumatic drive that is connected to a compressed air supply by a solenoid valve, wherein when driven with a control voltage, the solenoid valve ventilates the pneumatic drive with the compressed air and, when the control voltage is not present, vents the pneumatic drive. The pneumatic drive moves the on/off valve into an operating position during ventilation and moves it into a safety position during venting. To permit the performance of partial-stroke tests in the simplest way possible, a device for performing the partial-stroke test includes a controllable switch which is closed in a quiescent state, and in this case supplies the control voltage to the solenoid valve. The controllable switch is opened by a control signal that is generated to perform the partial-stroke test.

A brake controller supplies control signals for controlling the brake system, which enables secure braking of the rail vehicle. The actuator has a control connection, which is connected to the brake controller for receiving the control signals via a data line, wherein the control connection is connected to a logic unit of the actuator that is configured to set the braking force F in dependence on the control signals.

The crash module includes a crash element, a frontal impact plate and a rear connecting plate, wherein a guide element is provided between the frontal impact plate and the rear connecting plate. The guide element has the form of a plate and is oriented essentially in a longitudinal direction of the rail vehicle.
