Publication number: 20140357888Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for refining glyceride oil by size exclusion chromatography to obtain a triglyceride enriched fraction. The process comprises passing a glyceride oil through a size exclusion column packed with porous particles having a mass weighted mean particle size of 20 to 1,000 ?m and an average pore size of 10 to 150 A without using any solvent and collecting an eluate fraction enriched in triglyceride. The process may further comprise passing a solvent through the size exclusion column after the eluate fraction enriched in triglyceride is collected to obtain a partial glyceride enriched fraction. The process can suitably be used to produce triglyceride enriched fraction having a triglyceride content that is close to 100%.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2012Publication date: December 4, 2014Applicant: SIME DARBY MALAYSIA BERHADInventors: Ahmadilfitri Bin Md. Patent number: 8716505Abstract: The present invention discloses a commercial process for the production of refined palm oil rich in natural carotene. The process for the production of natural carotene rich refined oil comprises the steps of: (i) fractionating crude palm oil to form a liquid fraction and a solid portion; (ii) separating the liquid fraction from the solid portion; (iii) degumming the liquid fraction; (iv) neutralizing the degummed liquid fraction to substantially remove free tatty acids and impurities; (v) washing off the soap resulting from the neutralization step; and (vi) deodorizing the neutralized the product of step (v) to remove remaining free fatty acids and other impurities contained therein, thus forming a refined palm oil that contains less than 0.1% free fatty acid, has a carotene content retained of about 75%, an iodine value of less than 60 and a peroxide value of zero.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2009Date of Patent: May 6, 2014Assignee: Sime Darby Research Sdn. Publication number: 20090129633Abstract: The invention relates to a method for repositioning a numerically controlled device by using an image taken of an object as an aid. According to the method, the system is taught in such a way that a child image is defined for the camera's image, either its own set of co-ordinates is formed for the element or a set of coordinates is retrieved from elsewhere, and the image thus obtained, together with its co-ordinates, is stored in the data system, and, in the repositioning situation, the real-time image is compared with the child image stored in the data system, in order to determine the real-time position of the imaging device relative to the stored image. The set of co-ordinates used is a set of co-ordinates retrieved using satellite positioning, or the device's own internal set of co-ordinates. In the repositioning situation, the image stored in the teaching situation is sought as the co-ordinate point of the image stored in the memory is approached.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2006Publication date: May 21, 2009Applicant: SIME OYInventor: Jouni Erikkala
